Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 361: Needles Make Everything Worse
The next morning, Damian sat together with the others inside the temporary base.
Helena and Linsey were still recovering, though both were awake now, while Cynthia, Evelyn, Cassandra, Serina, and Miona gathered around the table.
Damian rested his chin against one hand as the sisters finished explaining everything they knew.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t much.
Serina calmly said, "The assassin called us the Twin Keys several times, but neither of us knows what that title actually means."
Miona crossed her arms. "All we know is that some bastards have been watching us for years and apparently wanted us alive."
Damian slowly nodded.
On the outside, he looked calm and thoughtful, but inside, he was screaming nonstop.
"Yeah, because you two are fucking Ancient Humans with some ridiculous inheritance sleeping inside you."
Damian sighed.
The biggest problem now was that only he understood the real situation, while none of the girls knew exactly what was happening.
Worse, if he wanted to recreate what had happened in the projection and awaken the sisters properly, things became even more troublesome.
He didn’t know the exact method, what triggered the awakening, or which part of the process was actually necessary.
All he knew was what he had seen: the two sisters had been pushed close to death, emotionally broken, wrapped themselves in cocoons, and then absorbed an entire ancient sea.
"So what the hell am I supposed to do? Beat them half to death and insult their dead parents until something happens?"
Damian’s expression immediately twitched.
These two were probably going to become part of his harem, so why the fuck did awakening them sound like it required him to beat the shit out of them first?
Cassandra noticed his face almost immediately and tilted her head. "You’ve been making that stupid expression for almost a minute."
Damian looked at her. "What stupid expression?"
Cassandra answered casually, "The one you make when you’re thinking about doing something questionable."
Miona immediately narrowed her eyes. "Then why the hell are you looking at us while making that face?"
Damian sighed. "Relax. I’m not planning to experiment on you or anything like that."
Miona’s expression somehow became even more suspicious. "That sentence did not help."
Serina covered a faint smile with one hand.
Damian frowned again as another possible solution was immediately ruled out. The Sacrifice Reward couldn’t be used on the sisters either.
Not only would Serina and Miona need to lose their virginity to him first, but their favorability also had to be completely maxed out, and neither of them was anywhere close to that yet.
"Great. So I know they have treasure hidden inside them, but I can’t open the fucking box."
Cynthia noticed Damian’s attention drifting back toward the sisters and quickly spoke. "Master, is there something specific you suspect?"
Damian paused for a moment before suddenly tapping the table and becoming serious. "That assassin wanted them alive, didn’t he?"
Everyone immediately fell silent, realizing that Damian might have thought of something important.
Damian continued, "That means whatever makes them valuable probably isn’t something they’re carrying."
He turned his attention back to the sisters. "And if people are calling them the Twin Keys, then it’s probably something inside their bodies."
Serina’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. What Damian said made sense.
She turned toward him, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "That’s possible... but even we can’t find anything unusual inside ourselves."
Cynthia immediately understood where he was going and calmly said, "Then let me examine them. I may be a poison cultivator, but I’m also quite skilled in medicine."
She pulled out a set of needles and grinned. "My needles should be able to detect things that ordinary spiritual senses might miss."
Serina and Miona both frowned the moment Cynthia pulled out her needles.
Miona stared at the thin needles between Cynthia’s fingers before slowly turning toward Damian. "You’re seriously letting the Poison Dragon stick those things into us?"
Damian shrugged. "She knows medicine, and poison cultivators usually know a lot about herbs and the human body anyway. So yeah, she can be trusted."
Miona frowned even harder. "You know that’s not reassuring at all when the person you’re talking about specializes in poison, right?"
Cynthia gave Miona a calm look. "Don’t worry. I won’t use any poison. I only want to examine your bodies."
Miona narrowed her eyes. "The fact that you needed to clarify that somehow made it worse."
Serina sighed softly, though her expression remained just as cautious as Miona’s.
Cynthia continued calmly, "You both want to know what the Twin Keys actually mean, don’t you?"
That immediately silenced them.
In the end, Serina let out a quiet sigh. "Fine. Examine me first. That should reassure my sister."
Miona’s eyes widened. "But, Big Sis..."
Serina turned toward her, and Miona immediately fell silent.
With no other choice, she sat back and waited for Serina’s examination to finish.
One by one, thin needles entered specific points across Serina’s arms, shoulders, and back as Cynthia carefully sent small amounts of Qi through her meridians.
She checked everything she could: the condition of Serina’s meridians, the strength of her blood, the state of her body, and even the flow of Qi through her organs.
When nothing unusual happened, Miona reluctantly allowed Cynthia to examine her as well.
Damian watched silently.
He already knew something was sleeping inside both women, but the real question was whether Cynthia could actually find it.
Eventually, Cynthia removed the final needle, her brows furrowed.
Serina and Miona immediately understood that something was wrong, but neither interrupted her. They simply waited.
Cynthia let out a soft sigh before finally speaking. "Your bodies have an unusually strong affinity with Water Qi, but nothing obvious enough to explain why an unknown organization would pursue you for years."
Serina frowned. "Nothing?"
"Almost nothing," Cynthia replied. "There is one strange thing. Whenever the two of you are separated, your Qi behaves completely normally."
She raised two fingers and pointed toward the sisters. "However, when you stand close together, a faint resonance appears between your bodies."
Miona blinked. "Resonance?"
Cynthia’s expression became more serious. "Yes. Your Qi seems to recognize each other. Not only that, it actually strengthens when the two of you are together. I can detect the effect, but I still don’t know what causes it."
Serina looked toward her sister, and Miona instinctively did the same.
Both of them frowned, realizing that the real secret behind the Twin Keys still hadn’t been uncovered.
