Darius’s expression darkened as he looked across the battlefield.

More than a dozen Golden Core cultivators from the Morath Clan had been incapacitated almost immediately.

It had to be remembered that every single one of them was an experienced Golden Core cultivator.

Yet Cynthia and Evelyn had casually removed them from the battle before they could even launch a proper attack.

Darius clenched his fist and cursed under his breath. "Useless."

Before he could do anything else, a crimson-black blur suddenly appeared directly in front of him.

Darius’s pupils contracted as Cassandra stopped only a few meters away, wearing a sweet smile that somehow made her look even more dangerous. "Looking somewhere else during a fight? Mm... that’s a little rude, don’t you think?"

Her crimson-black eyes drifted toward the distant battles. "That elder already has Earth Dragon beating the shit out of him."

Another explosion echoed through the forest.

Cassandra glanced toward Garrick, who was being driven backward by Linsey’s twin crescent chakrams, and giggled softly. "And your other precious elder is busy playing with Wind Dragon. How cute."

She slowly turned back toward Darius and Elder Varos, licking her lips as her grin widened into something far more unhinged. "Looks like my sisters already picked their toys..."

Cassandra pointed at the two of them with a delighted little laugh. "So that means you two are mine, right?"

Her fingernails slowly lengthened into sharp crimson-black claws. "Try not to break too quickly. I hate it when my toys stop moving before I’m done having fun."

Varos’s face twisted as his Nascent Soul pressure erupted without restraint. "You arrogant bitch! How dare you treat us like toys!"

Darius’s expression turned completely cold. Cassandra’s mockery had already crossed the line.

He glanced toward Varos and spoke with killing intent. "Forget capturing her. Kill her. Use everything you have, even forbidden arts."

Varos’s anger immediately turned into a savage grin as he drew a long black saber. "As you command, Patriarch."

The next instant, a violent wave of Nascent Soul Qi exploded from his body, ripping cracks through the ground and blasting dust outward as the saber in his hand began to hum with murderous intent.

Cassandra watched him and only grinned. "Hehehe... getting serious now, huh?"

Her long nails darkened and sharpened until they resembled blood-colored claws, thick Blood Demon Qi curling around each fingertip like smoke.

Cassandra slowly raised one hand and licked the edge of a claw with obvious satisfaction. "Good... now let’s see if your blood tastes any better than your attitude."

Varos’s expression twisted with fury. "Courting death!"

He vanished and appeared above Cassandra in the same instant, both hands gripping his black saber as he brought it down with terrifying force.

[Black Mountain Severing Slash]

The pressure alone split the ground beneath Cassandra, yet she only glanced upward and shifted one step back at the last possible moment.

BOOOOM!

The saber crashed into the earth and tore open a massive trench.

Varos barely had time to realize he had missed before Cassandra slipped inside his guard, her crimson claws flashing toward his ribs.

His protective Qi erupted instantly, but her claws tore through it almost without resistance, leaving three deep, bloody gashes across his side.

Varos grunted and twisted his body, swinging his saber in a vicious horizontal slash.

Cassandra ducked beneath the blade, spun around him, and drove her heel straight into his back.

The impact launched Varos forward, but he forced himself to twist in midair and landed several meters away.

His expression was now completely furious. "You damn bitch! How dare you!"

Saber Qi erupted around Varos as he unleashed slash after slash, dark blades of energy ripping through the battlefield and tearing apart everything in their path.

Cassandra slipped between them almost lazily, already reading the direction of each strike before it reached her.

A grin spread across her face. "Is that it?"

Varos roared and suddenly appeared directly in front of her, thrusting his saber toward her throat.

Cassandra simply raised two fingers and caught the blade between them.

Clang!

Varos’s eyes widened in shock, but before he could react, Cassandra flicked her wrist and violently knocked the saber aside.

After that she directly slammed her other hand into his chest, sending him tumbling backward through the dirt.

Varos forced himself upright, blood already running from the corner of his mouth as disbelief filled his expression.

They were both Nascent Soul cultivators, so how the hell was this woman so much stronger than him?

Varos clicked his tongue, then suddenly bit down hard and formed a rapid series of hand seals.

Blood began seeping from his pores as his aura surged violently, his body expanding while dark-red veins spread across his skin.

[Forbidden Art: Burning Nascent Soul Blood]

The moment the forbidden art activated, his cultivation exploded upward, forcefully pushing him all the way to the Peak Nascent Soul Realm.

Feeling the power surging through his body, Varos laughed wildly. "Now, bitch! Let’s see how you dodge this!"

He vanished, and this time his speed truly did increase. His black saber appeared directly in front of Cassandra’s face.

Cassandra stared at the blade, her smile slowly fading, not from fear, but from disappointment. "That’s it? This is your forbidden art?"

She casually raised her right hand and stopped the saber while her left claws began to glow crimson.

[Blood Claw]

Varos was still frozen in shock at seeing his saber stopped when Cassandra’s five left claws suddenly shot forward and pierced straight through his chest.

Blood Demon Qi erupted inside his body as her fingers moved like blades, shredding his organs from within.

Varos’s face twisted in pain.

He couldn’t even speak as everything inside him was torn apart, and within moments, the light faded from his eyes.

Cassandra slowly pulled her claws free and casually flicked the blood from her fingers, not even bothering to taste it.

She glanced down at his collapsing body with a bored expression. "You burned your life force for that? What a waste. You even made your blood taste worse."
