Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 291: Only Damian Can Steal It
Cynthia sighed and waved her hand. "Fine, fine. Let’s talk about tomorrow."
Her expression quickly became more serious. "Master Damian, you’ll enter through the main entrance together with Esmeralda since she’s an official representative of the Verdanthe Clan."
Damian nodded.
Cynthia continued, "Meanwhile, the four of us will enter separately through the route Evelyn found."
Helena crossed her arms. "So you don’t need to worry about us. Still, there’s one problem."
Damian looked toward her. "Hm? What kind of problem? Is the route too difficult?"
Helena frowned. "It’s not that. We still don’t know why the hell we’re even here in the first place."
She leaned forward slightly. "Just what the hell are we supposed to do once we infiltrate the festival?"
Linsey immediately nodded. "Exactly."
She leaned forward as well, looking genuinely curious. "Is there some kind of treasure hidden inside these two famous clans?"
Damian’s lips slowly curled upward. "Of course there is."
All four women immediately became more attentive.
Cynthia narrowed her eyes. "What kind of treasure?"
Damian’s grin widened. "A very valuable one. But when it comes to getting it, just leave that part to me."
The four women frowned.
Damian maintained his grin and pointed toward all four of them. "As for you four, you’re only going there as ordinary spectators."
The four women looked visibly surprised.
Damian casually tapped one finger against the table. "When it comes to taking the treasure... I’ll be the one doing it, so just relax."
Cynthia frowned even deeper. "So tomorrow, we’re basically infiltrating just to become spectators? Then why do we even need to infiltrate?"
Damian chuckled. "Of course there’s a point."
He leaned back slightly. "Tomorrow, I want you to treat the infiltration itself as training."
His gaze shifted toward Evelyn. "You already found a decent route, so use this opportunity to practice moving through a heavily guarded area without getting caught."
The four women could only sigh.
Damian laughed before continuing. "Anyway, enjoy the scenery, watch the important people, memorize the layout, and gather whatever information you can."
His expression became slightly sharper. "As for what actually needs to be done... leave that part to me."
Cynthia studied him for several seconds before finally speaking. "Young Master... can’t you just tell us what you have planned? We’re your trusted harem, right?"
Damian smiled. "Indeed, all four of you are people I trust."
His expression became more serious. "But this time, none of you can handle this particular mission. It’s something only I can do."
Cynthia remained silent for a moment before sighing. "Fine, then. Just please be careful."
Damian laughed loudly. "Who the hell do you think I am? I’m the great Damian!"
He pointed toward them. "And remember to wear your masks."
Linsey grinned as she pulled out her mask and casually played with it in her hand. "Don’t worry, Master. We know. You’ve already emphasized that several times."
Damian nodded in satisfaction. "Good."
Then another thought entered his mind. "If, by any chance, someone discovers you and asks which faction you belong to..."
His grin became even more shameless. "Tell them you’re members of the [Forbidden Immortal Harem]."
Silence.
Helena and Evelyn’s faces immediately turned red.
Meanwhile, Linsey and Cynthia remained relatively calm, although Cynthia’s expression clearly showed helplessness.
For the sake of the other two, Cynthia finally asked, "Master Damian... do we really have to publicly use that name?"
Damian looked genuinely confused. "Of course. We already fucking named it. Why would we hide it?"
Helena groaned and rubbed her forehead. "This is going to be so fucking embarrassing."
Evelyn immediately looked away and partially covered her face, clearly unwilling to let anyone see her expression.
Damian simply leaned back with a satisfied smile. "Alright, then."
His grin widened. "Tomorrow, the [Forbidden Immortal Harem] officially makes its first appearance."
---
The next morning finally arrived.
Today was the day of the Valeria and Valehart Families’ grand festival.
From early morning, the entire city had already become far livelier than usual.
Cultivators filled the streets, merchant carriages traveled toward the festival district, and banners bearing the emblems of various clans and organizations could be seen everywhere.
Damian had already changed into a clean set of dark robes and put on his usual disguised appearance before making his way toward the Golden Medicine Pavilion.
By the time he arrived, Esmeralda was already waiting near the entrance.
She wore elegant green-gold robes decorated with subtle medicinal patterns, making her look far more like the young representative of a major clan than the branch manager Damian had originally met months ago.
The moment she spotted him, she smiled. "Sir Damian."
Damian raised one hand casually. "Morning."
Esmeralda glanced at him from head to toe before giving a small nod. "At least you dressed properly."
Damian’s eyebrow twitched. "What the hell does that mean?"
Esmeralda laughed softly. "Nothing."
Not long afterward, the two left the Golden Medicine Pavilion together and began heading toward the festival grounds.
Damian seemed perfectly relaxed along the way.
Esmeralda, however, was unusually quiet. Her gaze occasionally drifted toward the man walking beside her.
Cynthia’s words from several days ago continued to echo in her mind, especially after seeing the king-grade weapon.
The requirement that she genuinely entrust herself to Damian instead of simply joining because of benefits.
Esmeralda’s fingers unconsciously tightened slightly inside her sleeve.
"Should I really join them?"
She gritted her teeth faintly. From a purely practical perspective, the benefits were almost absurd.
Damian was wealthy beyond anything she had previously imagined. Royal Grade treasures seemed almost ordinary to him.
He had even casually gifted four different women King Grade weapons.
For someone from a major cultivation clan, Esmeralda understood exactly how ridiculous that was.
Joining him could bring opportunities that even the Verdanthe Clan might struggle to provide her.
Yet Cynthia’s warning was precisely what made the decision difficult.
"He can supposedly tell whether someone is truly loyal..."
Esmeralda glanced toward Damian again. She could not simply pretend.
She couldn’t say she loved him, take his treasures, and then walk away whenever things became inconvenient.
According to Cynthia, Damian would know.
More importantly... Esmeralda wasn’t even sure whether she wanted to deceive him.
That realization bothered her far more than expected.
Damian suddenly turned his head. "Hm?"
Esmeralda immediately looked away. "What?"
Damian studied her suspiciously. "You’ve been staring at me for the last few minutes."
Esmeralda’s expression stiffened for only a moment before her usual elegant smile returned. "Have I?"
Damian nodded as he pointed toward his face. "Do I suddenly look more handsome today?"
Esmeralda stared at him for a moment, then sighed. "No."
Damian looked offended. "That answer came way too fucking quickly."
A small laugh escaped her despite herself.
Damian shrugged and continued walking.
Esmeralda watched him from the corner of her eye again.
"Ridiculous man."
Yet her expression gradually became thoughtful once more. She still had until the end of the festival to decide.
Perhaps that was reason enough for her to watch him carefully and see what kind of man he truly wasl, whether he was really someone worth giving her life to.
