Chapter 40: Bloodlust

"He is alive!"

Hannah’s eyes widened in not only shock but horror as well.

"A-alive? What do you mean by alive? And who? Don’t tell me you are talking about Max? Are you?"

She questioned, kneading Luciens shoulder. Urging him to answer the question.

Lucien didn’t answer but looked at her with an expression which she was quite familiar with.

She had seen him make this expression countless times, and she knew very well what this represented.

It was expression of quoting something Obvious but with serious and undeniable tone.

She couldn’t believe what was happening.

Alive? He is alive? Max is alive? Thier child? Her beloved son is alive? Where is he? How is he?

Countless thoughts filled her mind. But that was soon replaced with inextinguishable anger.

"WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME HE IS ALIVE? WHERE IS HE NOW? WHAT’S HE DOING?" She shouted. Shouted with voice louder than she had ever let out in her life.

Before Lucien could answer her, the expression on her face changed. Replaced with something inhumane. It was anger but mixed with something else. More like void, an Hungary void.

"Don’t tell me you had to do something with that?" Her voice was calm. But the deadly feeling behind her words could be felt by even an normal person.

There was no doubt about it. It was bloodlust.

An chill ran down Luciens spine. His body almost jolted in fight and flight reaction.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Relax! If I had something to do with that, why would I tell you that he is alive in the first place? Especially when I know how much you love him. I mean you even got divorce from me just because of him.

We were together for most part of our life. Since elementary school. Don’t you remember? We promised to get married as soon as we turned adult?"

Yes, Lucien and Hannah knew each other since elementary school. They were childhood sweethearts.

However, that story is for another time.

The reason, Lucien reminded her about there childhood was to invoke her sympathy and love towards him. Make her feel nostalgic and remind her that he used to be the most important person in her life.

However, when he saw her expression, he immediately dropped the thought of making her feel nostalgic.

She looked at him like an stranger, in fact worse more like an enemy. She of course didn’t believe his words. She may believe and fall for his tricks in other regards but she made no compromise when it came to her son.

That’s why she immediately said him to leave her house, when he made the assumption that Max was the culprit behind there divorce. Even before he could make his argument.

Remind you that ther were acting all lovey dovey with each other few seconds prior to that. Her even getting angry and jealous when she thought that Lucien may have been involved with other women.

That side of her completely disappeared, replaced with someone who thinks of him as enemy and is waiting for a chance to kill him.

"Then where is he? And how do you know he is alive?" She once again questioned him with the same dead eyes.

"I don’t know where he is." Lucien answered. He of course knew where Max is. In fact he could tell his exact location at almost any given moment. But he could of course not reveal that to Hannah.

Knowing her, she would run off immediately to him. Ruining his plan to get her on his side. Not when he made efforts to finally make her accept him.

Hannah of course didn’t believe him once again. She looked at him with eyes that were telling.

’You expect me believe that? If you don’t tell me, you are not making out of here alive.’

"I really don’t know." He activated Sinful tongue and then answered.

The ability immediately showed it’s power. The doubt in her eyes definitely reduced a bit, but did not end.

"Then how do you know, he is alive?" Her tone was much better than before but not her usual honey like voice.

"I know this because I looked in the matter of plane crash. Apparently he never boarded the plane."

"What? But how can that be possible? I checked the list of passengers on they plane myself. It definitely showed that he boarded the plane. In fact I asked around the staff members and looked into records. All pointed that he had indeed boarded the plane."

"That what’s you knew of. But reality is different. Did you really think I didn’t love our child? I didn’t care about him? I never mourned his death? No, I was as devastated on his death as much as you were."

This of course true. But for the original Lucien that is.

"I hired the best of the investigators, hackers, and even government officials to look in to the matter and dig for the information. You remember what they said for the reason of plane crash?"

"Yes, of course I do. They said it was because of bad weather. Apparently some kind of unexpected typhoon destroyed the connection between the plane and the company. Leading it to go in path of mountain range and thus leading to it’s disaster. They also said that the typhoon had affected the airport, leading to black out and damaging the cloud server. That’s why they didn’t have any camera recordings."

"Yes, that’s what they said to the family of people who were on plane. Here look at this."

Lucien picked up his phone, opened few files and videos before handing them to her.

30 Minutes Later,

"No! No! That can’t be possible! How can this possible? How come I never knew about this? My child, my beloved child, my son! He is alive!!? All this time when I thought that he is dead, he was still alive?"

Hannah almost lost her mind. She couldn’t believe what she came to knew about the incident.

Apparently, from the information Lucien provided. A man named John witcher had replaced Max’s ticket, boarding the plane. Max never went to the airport.

There were camera recordings from the airport, which she thought were lost. Countless reports and papers from multiple people and companies, reporting the same conclusion.

But most importantly there was tracker reports of Max from that day. From which what she could conclude was that he disappeared mid way.

"Then where is he? And how come you never told me about this?"

"I will tell you everything. But before that I want show you something else. Come with me."
