Chapter 390: Lion-headed Demon Fish

Turning back to look, he saw a huge monster with the face of a lion and the body of a fish. Its two huge, round eyes glared viciously at Shen Daoxing. The fish-like body even had two short little legs.

It was a Lion-headed Demon Fish, a Demon Beast with strength at the Fifth Layer of the Earth Profound Realm.

In that same instant, the Lion-headed Demon Fish’s tail twitched slightly. It shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, simultaneously opening its ferocious mouth to once again reveal its sharp teeth.

Seeing this, Shen Daoxing paused. With a slight push from his feet, he shot upward, positioning himself high above the Lion-headed Demon Fish’s head. Clenching his hand into a fist, he smashed it down violently.

BOOM!

A powerful shockwave rippled through the water. The Lion-headed Demon Fish’s head shuddered, and Shen Daoxing’s blow smashed its open mouth shut.

The next moment, however, a massive fishtail swept toward Shen Daoxing from the side.

Another Lion-headed Demon Fish had appeared out of nowhere and was attacking him.

In response, Shen Daoxing reached out with both hands and grabbed the enormous tail.

Then, using his small frame to pivot, he actually lifted the Lion-headed Demon Fish—a creature dozens of times his size—and began to spin it viciously in the water, round and round.

With a WHOOSH, he hurled it away. CRASH! It smashed into the first Lion-headed Demon Fish, driving them both into the lakebed of Yun Meng Lake with a thunderous impact.

But just as Shen Daoxing let go of the Lion-headed Demon Fish, a shadow fell over him.

Looking up, he saw that a third Lion-headed Demon Fish had been lying in wait. It suddenly appeared, opening its cavernous maw as it charged down from above, intent on swallowing Shen Daoxing whole.

In response, Shen Daoxing simply raised his fist skyward.

Arcs of black lightning flickered around it.

Shen Daoxing powerfully kicked off the lakebed, launching himself upward.

KRA-KOW!

A torrent of black lightning erupted from his fist, engulfing his entire body.

Shen Daoxing shot straight up, unflinching, and plunged directly into the Lion-headed Demon Fish’s great maw.
