Chapter 1069 -645: Promotion to Major General, Federation Hero, Massive Rewards!_2

The intelligence officer I sent out watched the entire battle.

As for whether the Demon Soldiers of the Calamity Sun Demon Country are old, weak, sick, or disabled, you can ask Major Ning Danxin after the meeting; I believe she knows best.”

“Hahaha, who would have thought young Fang Zhou had such abilities, far beyond mine!”

No one dared to respond under Commander Zhao Jingyuan’s anger, except for Major Ning Danxin, who immediately followed up.

“Commander, since Colonel Fang Zhou has such excellent military capabilities, why not bring him back?

A large-scale battle between the two sides is imminent, and there are dangers lurking within enemy territory.

No matter how skilled Colonel Fang Zhou is, there are too few soldiers around him available for use.”

Observant as ever, seeing that Commander Zhao Jingyuan had already elevated Fang Zhou to the level of Admiral Zhu Rong, one officer quickly offered a suggestion.

“Indeed, Commander.

Given our army has surrounded the main forces of the Calamity Sun Demon Country, let me send Guan Huchi’s Silver Pegasus Knights.

All legendary and glory champions of the Calamity Sun Demon Country are under our watch.

No one can stop Guan Huchi.”

Major Ning Danxin sent a grateful glance to the officer who offered support and again made her request to Commander Zhao Jingyuan.

“No need!”

The Commander rejected Ning Danxin’s proposal and publicly announced the decision he’d already made.

“I’ve already asked about Colonel Fang Zhou’s opinion; he is unwilling to abandon his six hundred warriors.

I respect his choice.

Taking care of soldiers is the most basic requirement of a good Commander.

However, I have recorded his military merits; previous intelligence confirms their sabotage on the demon army’s supply line was also their doing.

Since Colonel Fang Zhou has such commanding talent and has already advanced to the golden level, I have decided to promote him exceptionally to Major General.”

Ignoring his subordinates’ amazement, the Commander turned to the staff officer sitting next to him, “After the meeting, send Colonel Fang Zhou’s promotion report to the Federation’s military department.

All other warriors from the Calamity Special Operations Team are to be awarded the Longxia Blade Medal; honor them officially upon their return.”

“Yes, Commander!” the staff officer replied.

Far away in the Dark Jungle of the Calamity Sun Demon Country, Fang Zhou was unaware that Commander Zhao Jingyuan, who had elevated him to Major General, hadn’t expected either.

This promotion report being sent to the Longxia Federation’s military department remarkably turned Fang Zhou into a household-name hero in the Longxia Federation!

The staff officer had compiled a full commendation book of all Fang Zhou’s military achievements, and upon reaching the Federation’s military department, the higher-ups—having been accustomed to hearing good news—were delighted.

A golden young man just over twenty, a lone hero traversing enemy territories—the perfect propaganda material!

Thus, after repeatedly checking the battle reports for accuracy, an intense star-making movement began.

The staff officer’s already embellished commendation book was further refined, and Fang Zhou’s major events since entering Sea City Military Academy were bound into a volume and distributed to every city in the Longxia Federation.

Virtually everywhere was discussing the story of an undead mage who graduated from military academy over a year ago and rose from Major to Major General through merit.

The undead mage profession, originally having a poor image within the Human Alliance due to weak combat strength, was overturned in public opinion tides.

Fang Zhou became the dream lover of millions of young girls in the Longxia Federation.

Sea City Military Academy even began planning to specially list him in the Hall of Glory.

Fang Zhou could never have dreamed that he would become the Longxia Federation military’s hot-rising star.

………..

Funeral Bell Fortress, on the high tower of the Tomb.

After the last melee in the canyon wiped out yet another large band of Demon remnants from Funeral Bell Ranch, Fang Zhou received a generous reward from Hecarim.

This included the Soldier Treasure Book he most wanted, for the Skeleton Warriors and Zombie Race.

After consuming vast amounts of soul power once more, Fang Zhou successfully analyzed and absorbed these two Soldier Treasure Books, pushing his understanding and application of Skeletal Armament and Corrosive Poison Incarnation to the limit.

Especially the proficiency of the Corrosive Poison Incarnation skill, which was elevated from instinct to talent, boosting the species’ combat power coefficient by roughly another two percent.

Moreover, under the enhancement of Blood Moon Coin and various resources provided by Hecarim, Fang Zhou’s main attribute strength broke through to 80,000 points, officially becoming a golden upper rank high-tier undead.

Having merged the talents of four undead species, Fang Zhou already belonged to the top tier among undead creatures.

Combined with the subtle help from the attribute panel, as long as energy and resources accumulate sufficiently, breakthroughs into smaller tiers pose no bottleneck for Fang Zhou.

The undead leaders in the Tomb were already familiar with their lord’s terrifying speed of advancement, but Fang Zhou’s employer, Terror Knight Hecarim, was secretly awed.

Especially after Fang Zhou advanced to the golden upper rank, he vaguely felt that even as a lower glory champion, he might not easily defeat Fang Zhou.

This made him regard Fang Zhou with increasing importance.

Currently, the number of golden-level tomb undead under Fang Zhou has approached 150.

His next major effort focused on how to obtain a piece of undead territory belonging to himself and acquire the title of Undead Ruler.

Additionally, Fang Zhou has long been coveting the Corpse Witches under Hecarim.

If he could fuse the racial talent of the Corpse Witch clan, his strength would be dramatically enhanced.

Perhaps he could break through the bottleneck in one go and ascend to a powerful undead at the Glory Champion Level.
