Chapter 1068 - 645: Promotion to Major General, Federation Hero, Massive Rewards!

Now that victory is assured, Fang Zhou needs to quickly command the Tomb Undead Legion to seize the spoils.

After this great battle, his rewards are overflowing.

With the accomplishments he has achieved, he should go find Hecarim and request the remaining Soldier Treasure Book on Undead units.

His power is about to soar!

.....

While Fang Zhou's Blood Spirit Lord clone was negotiating with his employer Hecarim at Funeral Bell Ranch, the battlefield at Calamity Sun Demon Country, where the Undead Mage's true form was located, also experienced a delightful change.

"You say Fang Zhou was promoted to the Golden Tier?

And before attaining the Golden Tier, he could rival demon nobles of the Golden Tier?"

At the Calamity Sun Demon Country battlefield, inside the commanding tent of the Dawn Legion, Commander Zhao Jingyuan asked in surprise towards He Xin standing in the tent's shadow.

"Yes, Commander!

I personally witnessed Fang Zhou suppress a Golden Lower Tier Frost Demon Viscount with his Undead Army before he even advanced to the Golden Tier.

A few days later, when I managed to track him down temporarily, he had already broken through the bottleneck and advanced to the Golden Tier."

"The Undead Mage is so powerful?" Commander Zhao Jingyuan frowned, then quickly relaxed.

He suddenly laughed, "Previously, all I heard was that he was the fastest graduate of Sea City Military Academy in decades and the only one to achieve Silver level upon graduation as a model of Sea City.

I didn't expect him to break through the bottleneck and reach the Golden Tier so swiftly.

This is a remarkable achievement!

A Golden Great Mage at just twenty years old - even in the Awakening Era, such an extraordinary talent is rare."

The Awakening Era mentioned by Commander Zhao Jingyuan refers to the early days of the Era of Myth.

Under the Blue Star's World Will, countless geniuses awakened as professionals with powerful talents, emerging like bamboo shoots after rain.

Their strength advanced at an impossibly rapid pace, ultimately curbing the Abyssal Demon's military power.

Yet even now, Commander Zhao Jingyuan remembers that even during the Awakening Era, a terrifying advancement speed like Fang Zhou's was unheard of.

"Commander, Fang Zhou's Golden Lower Tier strength is just my conservative estimate.

In my view, his true power may surpass this." He Xin continued to drop a bombshell.

"Surpass this?" The commander was astonished.

He Xin's expression turned peculiar, knowing the commander misunderstood him.

Fang Zhou had won his sincere respect, and as Commander Zhao Jingyuan's trusted aide, He Xin had nothing to hide.

Thus, he recounted how his Golden Middle Tier Shadow Hunter's Stealth Skill was completely ineffective against Fang Zhou in a cave.

"What? Your stealth skills are ineffective against him!" Commander Zhao Jingyuan was shocked again.

He was aware of He Xin's Stealth Technique.

Normally, even Golden Upper Tier Magic Professionals couldn't detect it, which reassured him to entrust the task of retrieving Fang Zhou from the enemy's blockade line to the Light Shadow Guard.

The power of the soul generally corresponds to one's strength.

For a Stealth Skill undetectable by even Golden Upper Tier Majors to be ineffective against Fang Zhou is unbelievable.

After the shock, Commander Zhao Jingyuan calmed down, waved his hand, and He Xin retreated into the shadows, gradually disappearing.

.........

The next day, Commander Zhao Jingyuan held the routine military conference at the Commander Camp.

After the meeting concluded, he unexpectedly spoke to his officers, "Recently, a battle erupted at the Hydra Demon Swamp blockade line in Calamity Sun Demon Country!"

Upon hearing this, all the officers focused their attention on the commander.

The commander continued, "The opposing sides were Viscount Landri and Baron Sindred, under the command of five thousand Demon Soldiers from Calamity Sun Demon Country's Demon Army, against our army's Fang Zhou's Calamity Special Operations Team consisting of six hundred warriors."

"What?"

The officers gasped, not expecting to hear news about the long-missing Calamity Special Operations Team again.

"Commander, Fang Zhou isn't incapacitated?

Have you found his whereabouts?"

Upon hearing this news, Major General Ning Danxin, seated beside Commander Zhao Jingyuan, expressed concern.

The officers debated fervently; a nearly one to ten ratio of forces, coupled with battling on enemy territory made the outcome unfavorable, even for the experienced old General Dian Feiyu.

"Fang Zhou first used the terrain of the Dark Jungle to withstand the Calamity Sun Demon Country's army attacks.

Then, he summoned the Undead Legion to hinder the pursuers, ultimately breaking free.

In this battle, the Demon Army lost over two thousand soldiers while the Calamity Special Operations Team suffered less than a hundred casualties!

One of the Demon Army's commanders, Baron Sindred, was killed, and at least 20 Silver-level demons died." Commander Zhao Jingyuan narrated plainly.

"What? How is that possible!"

"Did I hear correctly..."

"Can the Undead Legion stand against the regular army of Calamity Sun Demon Country?

Are the Demon Soldiers in this operation all old and infirm?"

The officers couldn't believe the results they heard.

If the news had not come from Commander Zhao Jingyuan, known for his reliability within the military, the officers might have uttered more unspeakable doubts.

"Do you think I am easily misled?" The commander questioned sharply, seeing the chaotic scene below.

Seeing the commander angry, everyone quieted down; the room was so silent that even a pin drop would be audible.

"Since Admiral Zhu Rong once repelled six thousand demons from Jade Gate Pass with less than ten thousand soldiers, why can't Fang Zhou's Calamity Special Operations Team break through a five thousand-strong encirclement with six hundred men?
