Cassian rode atop the Wydra’s back as the wolf-bat-serpent chimera soared high into the sky.

Its massive bat wings beat steadily against the wind, carrying them higher and higher until the entirety of the Graveshade Expanse spread beneath them like a vast, dark tapestry.

A satisfied smile appeared on Cassian’s face.

His territory had finally reached Tier III.

The changes were impossible to miss.

The most obvious transformation was the barrier. Previously, the protective veil had only encircled the Lord’s Hollow; now, however, a colossal azure dome stretched across the entire Graveshade Expanse.

Cassian still found it breathtaking.

As new infrastructures had been constructed beyond the Lord’s Hollow, the protective barrier had gradually expanded to encompass them.

Each addition had extended the territory’s influence further outward until, eventually, the field covered every single corner of the region.

The infrastructures themselves had undergone a dramatic evolution.

The first thing Cassian noticed was the network of [Bone Roads].

After advancing to Tier III, the pathways had spread throughout the entire territory like a web of skeletal veins.

Pale roads stretched across forests, plains, hills, and settlements, seamlessly connecting every strategic location within the Graveshade Expanse.

Their passive effects had also increased substantially:

Troop Movement Speed: +160%

Logistics Efficiency: +160%

Any force specializing in speed would become an absolute nightmare to face within the confines of his domain.

From the sky, Cassian could already see the tangible results. Workers transported resources between facilities with incredible swiftness, patrol units moved along the roads in orderly formations, and supplies traveled across the territory in a fraction of the time previously required.

His gaze shifted toward another infrastructure.

The [Ossuary Vault] had grown considerably larger, its dark stone walls now resembling a heavily fortified citadel dedicated solely to storage.

Vast quantities of resources could be safely preserved within its necrotic depths.

The [Cemetery] had expanded as well. Rows upon rows of gravestones now stretched across the land, allowing more undead to recover simultaneously while drastically accelerating their restoration process.

The [Graveyard Fields] had undergone perhaps the greatest visual transformation. What had once been a simple plot of tilled soil now resembled a dark, enchanted forest, bonewood trees swayed beneath gloomy skies while countless resources grew among the death-infused flora.

The [Gravewall] had become a true defensive perimeter. Rather than merely protecting the Lord’s Hollow, it now stretched around the entire perimeter of the Graveshade Expanse.

An enormous barrier of dark stone, sharpened stakes, and colossal skeletal remains separated Cassian’s realm from the untamed wilderness beyond.

It looked less like a wall and more like the ribcage of an ancient god encircling a kingdom.

Then came the newer infrastructures.

The [Necrowatch Posts] stood at strategic locations along the Gravewall, each housing elite archers tasked with monitoring the borders and eliminating threats before they could penetrate deeper into the territory.

The [Gravewatch Towers] were even more imposing, massive black spires rising high above the landscape.

No matter where one stood within the Graveshade Expanse, at least one of the towers loomed on the horizon, ensuring no anomaly, intruder, or enemy movement could occur unnoticed.

Farther inward rested the industrial heart of the domain.

The [Bone Refineries] processed raw materials gathered by workers, purifying ores, refining bone fragments, and preparing resources for higher applications.

From there, materials traveled either to the [Soulforges], where the Master Skeleton Blacksmith and his specialists forged weapons and heavy armor, or to the [Mortuary Alchemical Sanctums], where the Master Skeletal Alchemist produced potions, reagents, and necrotic compounds.

The entire system functioned like a single, living organism, every structure supporting another, and every process feeding into the next.

Wydra suddenly folded its wings and dived.

Cassian felt the wind rush past as they plunged toward a section of the territory where a massive opening revealed stone steps descending into darkness.

This was one of the entrances to the [Crypt Barracks].

The underground complex stretched beneath much of the territory, housing the majority of his soldiers and special units.

While the undead had no need for sleep, they still required structure; the barracks provided designated quarters, training halls, command centers, and armories, preventing thousands of undeads from aimlessly wandering the surface.

’Whether that will eventually lead to gossip or strange undead drama is anyone’s guess,’ Cassian thought with a faint smirk. Given the personalities some of his undead possessed, he certainly wouldn’t rule it out.

Wydra exited through a far opening moments later, flying over a completely different district where rows of dark stone buildings stretched across a large plain.

This was the residential district reserved for worker and support units. Unlike the barracks, this area possessed a far calmer atmosphere, not that skeletons truly cared about ambiance, but it gave the territory a distinct sense of civilization and structure.

Their flight continued above a massive enclosed field where thousands of skeleton soldiers trained below. Some practiced swordsmanship, others drilled in shield formations, archers filled the sky with volley fire, and Death Chanters experimented with their abilities. Even commanders occasionally participated.

This was the [Legion Training Grounds]—a place where troops continuously honed their crafts, learned new skills, and eliminated operational weaknesses.

The stronger his troops became, the more trump cards Cassian possessed. And as a regressor, Cassian never believed one could ever have too many trump cards.

For hours, he continued his aerial tour, observing the forests, rivers, mountains, roads, defenses, and settlements covering every corner of the Graveshade Expanse.

Eventually, Wydra climbed once more into the high clouds.

From above, Cassian could finally take in the entire view: his territory, his domain, his budding kingdom.

Only a day ago, this land had belonged to a tribe of Warorcs and wild monsters. Now, it belonged entirely to him.

As he stared down at the vast expanse beneath him, a rare feeling settled within his chest, not arrogance, and not simple confidence, but genuine, quiet pride.

The Graveshade Expanse had become something far greater than a mere starting zone.

And this was only the beginning.

Cassian smiled. He was more than pleased with what he saw.
