Undead Lord: Starting All Over With Infinite Mana & Fusion
Chapter 92: Tier II Territory
Cassian opened the Infrastructure section of the Ledger.
At Tier I, a territory possessed six foundational infrastructures. He had only constructed two of them so far: the Graveyard Fields and the Cemetery.
The remaining four structures were necessary if he wished to advance the Graveshade Expanse to Tier II.
Fortunately, resources were no longer an issue. Between conquering the Graveshade Expanse, harvesting the spoils of war, and utilizing the materials he had personally purchased, the required components had long since been gathered.
Cassian didn’t hesitate.
He selected the first structure: [Ossuary Vault].
The required materials vanished from his Vault.
Immediately, the ground near the Graveyard Fields trembled violently. Dark stone erupted from beneath the earth, rising into the shape of a squat, fortress-like warehouse.
Thick walls of black rock layered themselves atop one another, while enormous rib-like bones protruded from the structure’s sides, reinforcing the building like skeletal supports.
A pair of massive bone doors formed at the front, as faint azure flames flickered within hollow skull lanterns mounted beside the entrance.
The structure radiated a subtle, heavy aura of death energy. It was a storage facility designed specifically for the undead, resources placed within would be preserved, while ordinary materials left inside for extended periods would slowly absorb necrotic energy, transforming into variants far more suitable for undead use.
Cassian nodded in satisfaction before moving on to the second structure: [Bone Roads].
More materials vanished from his vault.
A moment later, pale pathways began spreading rapidly throughout the Lord’s Hollow.
The dirt roads connecting various sections of the territory compressed and hardened, while fragments of crushed bone surfaced from beneath the soil, blending with dark gravel to form pathways that wound through the settlement like skeletal veins.
The roads connected every important structure in perfect synchronization: the Summoning Gate, the Cemetery, the Graveyard Fields, and the newly constructed Ossuary Vault.
The change was immediate. Movement throughout the territory would now become significantly smoother, workers transporting resources and troops mobilizing for battle would waste far less time traversing the terrain.
Without pause, he selected the third structure: [Gravewall].
The moment construction began, the outskirts of the Lord’s Hollow erupted with activity.
Massive stakes of darkened wood burst from the ground alongside ancient, unyielding gravestones.
Countless bones emerged from beneath the soil, fusing together to create a jagged, imposing defensive perimeter.
The wall was crude and far from elegant, yet it carried a deeply sinister presence.
Rows of sharpened stakes pointed outward, while skulls embedded throughout the structure stared blankly into the surrounding wilderness.
The [Gravewall] encircled the territory completely, establishing a clear, fortified border between the Lord’s Hollow and the wild lands beyond.
It was the territory’s first true defensive line.
And finally, Cassian selected the most expensive Tier I infrastructure: [Necrolord’s Crypt].
An enormous quantity of resources vanished instantly.
For several seconds, nothing happened.
Then, the very center of the territory shook as the earth split wide open. Dark stone surged upward from the depths like a rising mountain, expanding rapidly into towering black pillars, reinforced walls, and soaring archways carved with ancient runes.
Massive skeletal gargoyles materialized along the upper parapets, overlooking the territory beneath them, while at the center stood an enormous pair of obsidian doors engraved with depictions of death, conquest, and undeath.
The Crypt rose higher and higher until it completely dominated the Lord’s Hollow skyline.
A physical wave of death energy spread outward from the building, causing the surrounding undead to visibly react, some stood straighter, while others seemed subtly empowered merely by its presence.
The [Necrolord’s Crypt] wasn’t simply a residence; it was the heart of the territory, the administrative center, the seat of authority, and the absolute symbol of the Undead Lord’s rule.
Cassian stared up at the towering citadel with deep satisfaction.
At last, every Tier I infrastructure had been completed. The Lord’s Hollow was no longer a fledgling, dilapidated settlement, it had taken its first steps to becoming a true, formidable territory.
Just then—
Ding.
A clear, system-wide notification echoed directly through his mind.
[Territory Development Complete!]
[Graveshade Expanse — Tier I Development: 100%]
[All Required Infrastructure Constructed.]
[Territory Expansion Conditions Fulfilled.]
[Territory Advancement Available.]
[Advance Graveshade Expanse from Tier I > Tier II?]
[YES / NO]
Cassian didn’t hesitate for a single second.
"Yes."
The moment he confirmed the advancement, the entire Lord’s Hollow trembled violently.
A deep, resonant rumble spread through the earth as every structure reacted simultaneously:
The Cemetery. The Graveyard Fields. The Ossuary Vault. The Bone Roads. The Gravewall. The Necrolord’s Crypt.
A thin, shimmering film of cerulean light coated each building. The glow was faint at first, then rapidly intensified into a blinding radiance.
The undead legions throughout the territory turned to stare at the phenomenon.
Morghanna remained completely silent. Even after becoming a Champion, she just witnessed her Lord perform an unbelievable feat.
She found the sight utterly mesmerizing.
The absolute authority displayed by the Lord’s System was unlike anything she had ever known during her life as a cultivator.
It wasn’t simple physical strength, nor was it ordinary spellcraft, it was something far more fundamental, as if reality itself bent to acknowledge the will of a Lord.
Beside her, Nyxara merely observed the spectacle with quiet composure. Unlike Morghanna, she had already grown accustomed to her Lord’s absurd pace, her expression barely changing.
Soon, the cerulean film coating the structures began to recede, then erupted outward in a massive shockwave.
Waves of pure necrotic energy flowed through the bone roads, across the graveyard fields, and through the dense forests surrounding the settlement.
The pulse continued expanding until it reached the very outer borders of the Graveshade Expanse.
For a brief moment, everyone present felt a strange, profound sensation, it was as though the territory itself had suddenly become denser, firmer, and vastly stronger.
The undead felt it. Cassian felt it too.
Yet when he examined his own status, nothing had directly changed. It was an environmental shift, a subtle elevation of the territory’s foundation that vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
Then, a cascade of glowing system windows materialized before his vision:
[Territory Advancement Successful!]
[Graveshade Expanse has advanced to Tier II.]
[Territory Rank Increased]
[Death Energy Density Increased]
[Resource Production Increased]
[Territory Influence Expanded]
[Infrastructure Advancement Available.]
[Current Tier I Infrastructure may now be upgraded to Tier II.]
[New Infrastructure Blueprints Unlocked.]
Continue Territorial Development. Expand. Conquer. Survive.
Cassian smiled.
Two and a half days, that was all it had taken.
Most Lords were still desperately struggling to establish a basic foothold within their starter zones at this stage.
Meanwhile, he had already advanced his domain to Tier II and stood right on the precipice of pushing it even further toward Tier III.
Without wasting a single second, Cassian opened the newly unlocked Tier II infrastructure section.
If the Graveshade Expanse could continue growing at this rate... then so would he.
And Cassian Voss had zero intention of slowing down.
