Chapter 335 -263: You Are Option E, You Are Plan B

“She’s not?”

“So what’s the deal with the sugar mommy who’s keeping you?”

“The owner of Champion Scholar Pavilion personally parked your car, greeted you at the door, and even kept a private room empty for you instead of doing business. You’ve got some serious pull!”

If Wan Jiakai had been skeptical about Gu Heng being a sugar baby before coming to Champion Scholar Pavilion, he was now a firm believer.

You could rent a luxury car, but the owner of Champion Scholar Pavilion wouldn’t put on an act like that for peanuts. To get that kind of treatment, you had to have a status and standing far above his.

Just over six months ago, when he’d visited Gu Heng during summer break, Gu Heng was still a delivery driver, braving the wind and rain every day. Now, seeing him again, things were completely different.

For an ordinary poor kid to stage such a magnificent comeback in such a short time, it seemed latching onto a sugar mommy really was the only shortcut.

As for whether Gu Heng had what it took to live off a woman, Wan Jiakai had no doubts. They had grown up together, often bathing together as kids, and he had seen for himself how… exceptional Gu Heng was in that department.

Let’s put it this way.

If our esteemed readers were pincushions, Gu Heng would be a dragon’s nest.

Add to that Gu Heng’s delicate and handsome face now that he’d slimmed down, and he was the perfect “boy toy” those rich women craved—not just good-looking, but also functional.

“Just the basics, no big deal.”

Gu Heng waved his hand casually. “I’ll just go ahead and order. If there’s anything specific you want, just scan the code and add it yourself.”

“Get me two pig’s trotters. I’ve been craving their trotters for ages.”

Wan Jiakai looked at the completely relaxed Gu Heng, then thought about his own past six months of university life, which felt like semi-military training. A wave of envy washed over him. “I can’t believe you actually found the shortcut. You lucky bastard, I could kill you!”

“Jealous?”

“Want me to introduce one to you?”

Gu Heng glanced up at Wan Jiakai, a half-smile playing on his lips as he asked.

“For real?”

Wan Jiakai’s eyes instantly lit up. “Bro, I’m not just bragging, but while I may not be classically handsome like you, I’ve got a bit of that roguish charm!”

“Right, right!”

“You’re roguishly charming!”

Gu Heng had been to Champion Scholar Pavilion with Wan Jiakai many times before. He knew exactly what Jiakai liked to eat, so he ordered quickly.

“Especially those eyes. You’ve got real smart-ass eyes.”

Gu Heng put down his phone and agreed with a completely serious expression.

“See? I’m not—”

Wan Jiakai had just started to look smug when his expression suddenly changed. “Wait a minute. Are you calling me a smart-ass?”

“Huh?”

“Am I?”

“I was just complimenting you. You know, ‘smart’ eyes.”

Gu Heng struggled to hold back his laughter. “Look at those smart-ass eyes. They’re even more handsome when you’re serious.”

“Oh, go to hell!”

“*You’re* the one with smart-ass eyes!”

It finally dawned on Wan Jiakai what was going on, and he was so mad his nose was practically crooked.

“HAHAHA…”

Seeing this, Gu Heng finally couldn’t hold it in anymore and burst out laughing.

“Are you even human?”

Wan Jiakai was fuming. “I’m telling you, it’s just because I went to the Public University—too many guys there, the competition is fierce. If I’d gone to a normal university, with my roguish charm, I’d at least be the department stud!”

“Oh?”

“What department has so much overgrown grass?”

Gu Heng stopped laughing and asked with feigned confusion.

“You motherfucker…”

Wan Jiakai got hard. His fists, that is. They clenched tight.

Just then, the fruit juice he had ordered arrived. He immediately picked up the glass. “I just got to Beichun tonight, so I was planning to let you get used to my pace. But I see you’re determined to court death. So tonight, we won’t just determine a winner—we’ll determine who lives and who dies.”

“So much bullshit.”

Gu Heng chuckled and raised his mug of draft beer. “My dear son, welcome to Beichun.”

“Cheers!”

…

As honored guests whom the owner had personally welcomed and instructed the staff to take special care of, the food arrived at their table much faster than for other customers.

Grilled pig’s trotters, soy sauce tendons, pork rind skewers, Wangjing-style kidney, sizzling iron plate crucian carp, charcoal-grilled quail, sweet and sour fried instant noodles…

The flavors were enough to bring any wandering son or daughter of the Northeast to the verge of tears upon their return home.

“This is awesome!”

“BBQ and beer, it’s fucking incredible!”

Wan Jiakai’s mouth was glistening with grease, and his expression was one of pure, unadulterated bliss.

“Oh?”

“Picking up some Cantonese now, are we?”

Gu Heng’s eyebrow twitched as he once again raised his beer mug.

“There’s a guy from Hundong in my dorm. I picked up a phrase or two from him.”

Wan Jiakai pulled off his greasy disposable gloves and raised his glass to clink with Gu Heng’s. “But after a semester, I’ve successfully corrupted him. The other day, he told our dorm group chat that when he went home, his parents thought he’d been possessed. He nearly corrupted them, too.”

Because there were many things from the past six months that Gu Heng couldn’t share with Wan Jiakai, it was mostly Jiakai who did the talking while Gu Heng listened.

As he listened to Wan Jiakai describe his colorful and eventful university life over the past half-year, a flicker of envy and longing quietly passed through his eyes.

“Hey?”

“You know, from the moment we met up until now, I haven’t heard you mention Xu Ruo at all.”

After downing three large glasses of beer, Gu Heng suddenly remembered something. A hint of confusion appeared on his face as he posed the question.

In an instant, Wan Jiakai’s expression froze.
