Chapter 42: Little Weakling~
Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Little Weakling~
Liu Yiyi looked at the fully satisfied Su Yunzhou and snapped playfully, "I’m not going home tonight. I’ll head straight to your place."
"Oh? Sounds good," Su Yunzhou grinned, revealing two rows of perfectly white teeth.
"Hmph!" Feeling even more annoyed by his smugness, Liu Yiyi slammed on the gas pedal. She sped down the street, leaving behind only a pair of flashy taillights as she vanished into the night.
Half an hour later.
At the Celestial Paradise Holiday Hotel.
Liu: Coming?
Su: Coming!
Su: Are you here?
Liu: I’m here.
Not long after they took a break.
Liu: Again!
Su: Didn’t we just finish?!
Liu: Are you coming or not!
Liu: I’m coming!
Su: Me too!
An unknown amount of time passed.
Su: Again?!
Liu: Come on, you can do it.
Su: I can’t anymore!
Liu: Come on.
Su: I really can’t!
By the time Su Yunzhou finally opened his eyes again, his head was spinning. That 1573 liquor from last night was simply too intoxicating.
The bathroom light was on. Su Yunzhou called out to her.
A moment later.
Liu Yiyi walked out wrapped in a bath towel. She was beaming, her watery eyes sparkling as brightly as the radiant stars in the night sky.
"Yiyi," he groaned. "I... I have an appointment to pick up my medical report today..."
"Tch, what a lightweight," Liu Yiyi interrupted. She slowly walked over to the vanity and began to get ready. Once fully dressed, she returned to the bed, planted a gentle kiss on his forehead, and sluggishly walked out of the room.
Only after the door clicked shut did she finally drop the facade. Her legs felt like jelly and she ached all over. She desperately wanted to call in sick, but unfortunately, she had an important proposal to handle today.
A female maid cleaning the hallway noticed Liu Yiyi’s unsteady gait and hurried over to check on her.
"Hello! Are you feeling unwell?"
Liu Yiyi’s pretty face flushed red. "I’m fine."
The maid asked with concern, "Our hotel has an in-house doctor. Do you need me to take you there?"
Liu Yiyi shook her head. "No need, I’m really fine."
Seeing that the maid was about to press the issue, the usually good-tempered Liu Yiyi got uncharacteristically flustered.
"I’m really fine! I just have a calcium deficiency! My leg is cramping a bit!"
Not daring to say another word, the maid muttered a quiet apology, turned around, and went back to cleaning.
Liu Yiyi took the elevator down to the first-floor lobby and stared at the beautiful revolving doors in the distance. For the first time, she felt like the walk was agonizingly long. Taking a deep breath, she endured her physical discomfort and slowly shuffled over.
However, her stunning beauty and slightly disheveled hair and makeup still drew some attention.
A yawning woman with messy hair, who had made some quick cash the night before, was in a terrible mood. That bastard of a man had forced her to stay up until three in the morning just waiting for his pills to kick in, only to start grumbling bright and early about needing to check out.
Checking out early was one thing. But he couldn’t even bear to leave the room deposit as a tip, insisting on dragging her out with him.
"What a scumbag," she thought. "No, wait! Men who fool around are all scumbags anyway. I should just call him a useless, limp shrimp."
At that moment, her professional instincts made her notice the desperately composed Liu Yiyi. She thought about herself—having to fake enthusiasm just to cater to her clients. Sighing, she realized that over time, she had found it hard to truly love anyone anymore. So, witnessing this scene, her heart was suddenly overwhelmed by a feeling of deep envy.
Unfortunately, the woman didn’t go to the front desk. Instead, she swayed directly toward a taxi parked outside the revolving doors.
"Hello there, beautiful. Where to?"
"Yujing Bay."
"Huh? Oh, okay!"
The driver started the car, feeling a bit speechless. He had finally made it to the front of the queue, only to get a ride that barely covered the base fare. "If she wasn’t so pretty, I absolutely wouldn’t have taken her," he thought.
He sneakily appraised her through the rearview mirror. Her business suit gave her an incredibly alluring charm, almost rivaling those secretaries in the action movies from the Little Days Country. Moreover, she wasn’t wearing stockings, leaving her slightly fleshy legs bare, which only made her look even more seductive.
Five minutes later.
"We’re here, miss."
After paying, Liu Yiyi got out of the car. She looked casual, but every movement was a struggle as she playfully cursed in her mind, "I am never doing this on a workday again. This fairy is so exhausted I’ve lost all my magic."
Meanwhile, on the other side of town.
An equally exhausted Su Yunzhou was sound asleep. He actually really wanted to go pick up his medical report early, but Liu Yiyi had hit him with a full combo of the Seven Injuries Fist last night, leaving him... well, never mind.
When Liu Yiyi left in the morning, he had planned to get up as well. He went to the bathroom, washed his face, but the moment he touched the bed again, he was out cold.
When he woke up again, it was already eleven o’clock.
The electric curtains slowly slid open, allowing the warm sunlight to spill into the room and wash over him.
"Ugh!" He lazily raised a hand to block the glare, squinting as he stretched his stiff body.
Ten minutes later.
He floated downstairs, feeling light on his feet. Jian Shan was waiting by the elevator and handed him the car keys. "Mr. Su, you really have a great eye. This car drives like an absolute dream."
"Heh heh!" Su Yunzhou chuckled and nodded. Stepping outside, he saw the Black Knight-styled Panamera gleaming charmingly in the sunlight.
"Tuantuan, navigate to the Provincial Renmin Hospital."
"Route planned! The total distance is 12.8 kilometers, and it will take approximately 18 minutes. Tuantuan is ready for takeoff!"
The roar of the exhaust drew the attention of quite a few guests. Amidst their envious gazes, the car sped off down the road. A gentle breeze blew past the open window, and Su Yunzhou couldn’t resist sticking his hand out, letting the wind carry it into a smooth arc. Driving a car like this, it would probably be hard to even run into minor inconveniences.
At a red light.
Su Yunzhou rested one hand on the steering wheel and glanced to his front left, spotting a somewhat handsome Volkswagen Lamando. Once upon a time, that had been the modest goal he was working toward. But now, he had skipped straight to the finish line, jumping up several tiers in one go.
After driving for a while, a black Rolls-Royce appeared at the intersection ahead. Staring at the proud, forward-leaning Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, Su Yunzhou muttered to himself, "This is just the beginning. I need to think bigger. My perfect life has only just started."
Soon after.
The Panamera pulled into the crowded Provincial Renmin Hospital parking lot. After circling twice, he finally managed to snag a parking spot, relying entirely on the car’s intimidating presence.
Su Yunzhou jogged all the way and finally made it to the medical examination building just before twelve o’clock.
"Hello! I’m here to pick up my medical report!"
The little nurse, who was just getting ready to go grab lunch, didn’t even look up. A flash of displeasure crossed her face—she absolutely hated it when patients showed up right during shift changes.
"What’s your name?"
"Su Yunzhou."
"Your report is right..."
As the little nurse flipped through the files, she suddenly let out a gasp of surprise.
This gave Su Yunzhou quite a scare.
"What’s wrong with my report?"
