Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1871: Searching for Abby Sawyer 1
Riventhal, this bustling metropolis.
The Kingston Group stands tall on the opposite bank, the towering buildings have become iconic landmarks in this city.
Here lies the paradise of dreams for countless young people.
In the stylish and elegant office, Justin Kingston, dressed in a black suit, stands at the window talking on the phone, hands in pockets, exuding an extraordinary aura.
Listening to the words transmitted from the other end of the phone, his face shows no unnecessary expression, his voice as deep as aged wine, "Okay, give me the address, I’ll go personally."
"Alright."
He ends the call.
At this moment, Jerry Garcia enters with documents in hand, he overhears CEO Kingston’s last sentence and sees him just as he turns around, their gazes collide.
So he reminds, "CEO Kingston, where are you going? There’s a meeting in a bit."
"Push the meeting back a bit, I need to go out to find someone." Justin Kingston casually grabs his suit jacket draped over the chair and steps away.
Jerry does not ask further, he arranges the tasks assigned by the CEO.
Looking for someone?
That person must be very important, right?
After going downstairs, Justin Kingston drives himself, following the GPS toward the west outskirts of Riventhal, where some places are awaiting development and demolition.
After about an hour’s drive, he opens a podcast and listens to some historical documentaries, today it’s "The Hexi Corridor."
Successful people are probably like this, using all available time to learn and recharge.
An hour later, the limited edition Lamborghini stops at the entrance of an alley.
Because the alley is too narrow, it’s difficult to drive in, occasionally a few electric motorcycles come out from the winding alley.
Justin Kingston gets out of the car, adjusts his attire, heads into the alley following the GPS path, greeted by the sunlight.
The alley is about four meters wide, the shops on both sides are somewhat old, with uneven signs.
They are mostly breakfast shops, fruit stalls, or small bookstores, perhaps the last piece of pure land in this bustling city.
The further Justin Kingston walks in, the fewer shops he finds, mostly residential buildings.
Old and unregulated small buildings, squeezed together, two or three stories high, the passersby seem like they don’t live in the same era as him.
Everyone dresses very plainly, looks extremely ordinary, they are lifelong hardworking farmers, lacking the aura of wealthy families.
Therefore, Justin Kingston’s presence appears somewhat out of place.
Passersby can’t help but cast a few more glances at this well-dressed handsome man, he looks really handsome, like someone out of a TV drama.
Justin Kingston holding the phone, walks forward guided by the GPS.
Finally, he stops in front of a two-story small building, the building is blue, the walls peeling, it must be about twenty years old.
The door is ajar, showing a noticeable gap.
He reconfirms the location, then turns off the GPS and steps toward the ajar living room door.
Politely knocks like a gentleman.
Before he could knock a few times, the door opens, and a young woman appears, her looks pure, her clothes plain.
When the woman sees this man outside the door, dressed in a handmade suit, so noble that it’s beyond reach, she feels like she’s dreaming, this feels unreal!
"Hello," Justin Kingston speaks, voice gentle with inquiry, "Are you Flora Lee?"
Calling out the name directly? Is he here for her?
The woman snaps back to reality, with a hint of wariness in her eyes, "I am."
"Hello, do you know Abby Sawyer?" Justin Kingston’s profound gaze carries a touch of warmth, he doesn’t want his innate aura to scare her.
The girl takes a while to come to her senses, Abby Sawyer? She’s searching in her mind for this vaguely remembered name.
Justin Kingston prompts her, "You were schoolmates in senior year, she transferred to your school in the first semester of senior year, do you remember?"
