Jocelyn felt a wave of softness and tenderness in her heart. Though she married him, she truly loved him deeply... Sometimes, she didn’t know how to love him properly.

He was destined not to belong to her alone. In the hospital, he was a doctor, belonging to his patients.

In Lorelei, he was the king of all the people.

"Jocelyn." Ian Shelby, who understood psychology, gently asked, "Do you feel that you love me more, and I don’t love you as much?"

Jocelyn’s eyes welled up with a faint mist of tears, his words cutting right to her heart.

She pursed her lips, a subtle smile hanging on her face, and looked up from his embrace, understandingly saying, "I know it’s because you’re busy, not because I’m not in your heart. If you didn’t love me, why would you marry me?"

"I love you; you can always ask me to confirm." Ian said, then cupped her cheeks and gently kissed her lips...

In Ian’s heart, he felt that he owed Jocelyn.

Back in Riventhal, he often prioritized work, spending most of his time in the hospital, without even a proper date.

In the early days at Lorelei, he was focused on treating his father and searching for the hidden culprit, even pretending not to know Jocelyn.

But he loved her, and for the rest of his life, he would prioritize her... strive for a good life and be a good husband.

At dusk.

The second set of wedding photos of Trevor and Janelle was completed, taken by the lakeside with a fresh and playful style.

For them, it wasn’t tiring at all, just like dressing up in beautiful clothes, wearing different makeup, and touring the surroundings while the photographer captured moments.

Without posing formally, the photos turned out particularly well.

"Janelle, couples have 100 little things they do together. Let’s see which ones we can do in Lorelei. We can complete some during this time."

Trevor cherished spending time with her this way, sitting on the rocks with his arm around her shoulders, turning his gaze to her, "How about it?"

"Sure, everything can be done here. Let’s just pick at random, shall we?" She also wanted to get married.

"Okay."

Janelle thought for a moment, couldn’t help but look at him and gently touched his face, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Ask away."

"Seeing my brother marrying Jocelyn, do you feel a little... a tiny bit of regret?"

Bringing up past matters?

It’s a big trap; a poor answer could spell trouble.

Trevor met her gaze earnestly, not dismissing her, and looked at her seriously, "No regret. I was never with her. But if your father wasn’t so open-minded, and I, this toad, couldn’t marry you, that would be my lifelong regret."

"What are you talking about?" The girl lightly hit his chest with her hand, "Who is a toad? Don’t you know how exceptional you are? If you weren’t excellent, would I like you? I’m not so shallow as to only look at appearance, okay? I mainly look at the soul!"

"Can you see the soul?" He cupped her cheeks and leaned closer with a teasing smile, "What’s a soul? What does a soul look like?"

"Oh, oh, oh, oh...!" The girl’s cheeks were about to be deformed from his hold, "Your soul is about to float out! Release me!"

But Trevor tightly embraced her, "No more mentioning Jocelyn. She’s our sister-in-law. After going through certain people and events, looking back, that initial crush may have been an illusion or not deep enough, which shouldn’t affect our future lives."
