Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1839: Special Wedding Rings
Just like that, Bertie’s intention was clear, he approved of Trevor as his son-in-law.
So, in front of his future father-in-law, Trevor took Janelle’s hand proactively, met his gaze, and smiled, "Uncle, anytime Janelle wants to get married, I’m ready to marry her. But for now, we’ve discussed completing the courtship process first."
"Oh?" Bertie felt he heard a new term, "There’s a process for courtship?"
This question from her father made the girl a little embarrassed. This damned sense of ceremony might seem pretentious in the eyes of the older generation.
But Bertie was genuinely curious, looking at them with eyes full of curiosity, hoping they could reveal something.
So, Trevor told him his plan, "We’ve agreed to first complete a hundred small things in our relationship before getting married."
"How many have you completed?"
This father was a bit nosy and somewhat approving, "That’s innovative, indeed a special journey. Spending more time together before marriage is always good because marriage is a lifetime matter. There should be love, and you must be compatible, too."
Janelle leaned happily on Trevor’s shoulder and answered her father, "We’ve done less than ten; my mom got sick and had surgery, so I’ve been at the hospital with her recently."
"Is she feeling better now? How is she today?" Bertie asked with concern, "Although she’s discharged, she still needs to rest a lot."
"Yes, she will take care of herself."
At this moment, Bertie took out a small box and handed it to them, "Kids, this is a gift from father."
Janelle reached out to take and open it, finding two special rings inside, in a vintage style, clearly not the kind you could buy on the market.
"This is your meeting gift. Yesterday was too rushed, I didn’t get to prepare." Bertie told them, "I had these airlifted from Lorelei, they’re a royal treasure, the wedding rings of King Louis VI and the Queen."
Such weight truly bears great significance!
Janelle Mills suddenly felt the box in her hand become heavy, the joy in her heart diminished a bit. She looked up, "Father, this is too precious. I can’t accept it."
"You deserve it." Bertie said with a kind smile, "I’m not giving this to a friend but to a daughter. You are our princess of Lorelei, why shouldn’t you accept it?"
"..." The girl didn’t know what to say for a moment.
Trevor also felt it was very precious, and it wasn’t hard to see the importance of this daughter in the king’s heart.
Even though she hadn’t been raised by his side all these years, the love and concern for her had never diminished.
Ian Shelby sat to the side, sipping tea, moved by this atmosphere. His father’s wishes fulfilled, eager to make up for all the love missing before.
"Thank you, father." Janelle had to accept it, feeling very touched and happy.
Bertie was even more pleased, his face full of smiles, "You’re welcome, father wishes you happiness. No matter how long you’re together before marriage, on your wedding day, father hopes you wed as the Princess of Lorelei, in our most beautiful castle, with a grand wedding!"
The girl met her father’s gaze, her smile was as sweet as honey.
Trevor could even imagine his princess sitting in a pumpkin carriage, wearing the most beautiful wedding dress, with the most beautiful smile. Her skin like creamy jade, radiantly beautiful like an angel.
Both Janelle and Trevor agreed to their father’s request.
