Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 1838: Urged to Marry
Today, Bertie also woke up early; he was so excited last night that he couldn’t sleep.
He carefully dressed up; although he reunited with his daughter yesterday, they didn’t spend much time together. He dreamt of her last night, and now her image lingered in his mind.
He missed her dearly. Even though they’d be meeting soon, he still felt excited.
He could not only see his daughter, but also meet his future son-in-law.
All of Ian Shelby’s father’s little emotions were noticed by him; perhaps this was the happiest thing for his father recently.
Trevor’s car quickly parked in the yard. Bertie got up from the sofa, looking eagerly at the door, feeling his heart race.
"Father, I’ll go out to greet them." Ian Shelby stood up and went out to meet them.
Trevor and Janelle got out of the car, fingers interlocked, and walked inside. He was carrying a delicate little bag, a gift for the meeting.
Seeing Ian Shelby from afar, Trevor suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
Ian Shelby used to be a rival in love; the two fought fiercely over Jocelyn Morgan, but now... they’re brothers?
How awkward!
What a turn of fate!
But Trevor kept his composure and selectively forgot the past. Sometimes, people don’t realize who they truly love until the end.
"Janelle, Trevor." Ian Shelby smiled warmly, concerned, "Did you have breakfast?"
"Yes, we did." Janelle Mills approached him, "Brother, has Father gotten up?"
"He’s up, waiting for you inside."
Ian Shelby and Trevor exchanged glances; Trevor was older than Ian Shelby, but in terms of seniority, sooner or later he’d have to call him brother.
"Brother." So Trevor spoke softly, which surprised Janelle Mills. She turned her gaze to him suddenly, feeling unexpectedly joyful.
Trevor smiled at Janelle and affectionately patted her head.
Ian Shelby was also pleased; the past is left behind, "Please come in."
He turned around and led everyone inside.
"Father!" Janelle Mills’s voice was bright and warm, "I dreamt of you last night." She stepped forward and gave the middle-aged man a big hug.
Bertie beamed, "Me too, Annie, Father dreamt of you as well."
After the hug, Janelle Mills quickly took Trevor’s arm and introduced him joyfully, "Father, this is Trevor, my boyfriend!"
"Hello, sir." Trevor greeted politely, then handed over the bag, "This is a gift for you. You can open it after we’ve left."
What mysterious gift is this? Janelle Mills shot him a puzzled look.
Bertie became interested too; he accepted it, "Thank you." His gaze hardly left Trevor.
This man was handsome; the light fell on him, adding a soft glow. His deep eyes and striking features were truly remarkable.
"Children, sit down, sit down." Bertie invited them, sat on the sofa, and directly asked, "Do you have plans to marry?"
This question stunned Janelle Mills; she suddenly felt a bit shy.
Bertie chuckled, looking at the young couple across from him, continuing, "Here’s the thing, Trevor, I really like you."
"Father, you’ve just seen him for the first time!" Janelle Mills gently reminded him to be a bit more reserved.
Trevor’s expression was gentle, and Bertie replied, "Your father’s instincts about people are spot on. If someone doesn’t impress him at first sight, no matter how many times he sees them later, he won’t ever like them."
