At night, Janelle followed Old Mills and Sister Sterling back to the villa, where roses bloomed all over the courtyard. This was Nathan Mills’ home.

Since returning to Riventhal, it’s the first time he seriously brought Carlotta Sterling back. From now on, there will be a lady of the house.

Janelle Mills watched the two people enter the living room hand in hand, feeling especially at ease, with a constant smile at the corner of her lips, "You’ve been busy all day, so rest early."

"Are you staying here tonight?" Nathan Mills turned his eyes to his daughter, "It’s so late, don’t let Trevor come over to pick you up. He might still be busy."

Trevor had been called to the office by a phone call after dinner.

Janelle smiled and nodded, "Okay, I won’t leave."

Only then did Old Mills feel at ease to take Carlotta Sterling upstairs. Watching her parents’ backs as they moved up the stairs, Janelle Mills knew her mission was accomplished.

Her greatest wish was fulfilled, and she had no regrets in life.

Today was a special day, and she was particularly happy.

A WeChat notification sound rang from her phone, and when she picked it up to look, Trevor had sent a message inquiring about the situation over there.

Janelle called him back, stepping towards the stairs, whispering as she reported, "We just got back and are about to rest. What about you? Are you done?

"Hmm, just left the office." Trevor asked her, "When do you plan to meet Ian Shelby?"

He was referring to the matter of recognizing her parentage, and this matter would be scheduled soon and couldn’t be delayed too long.

Janelle truthfully told him, "Tomorrow morning, Old Mills and Sister Sterling will also go together, I’ve agreed."

"Bring me along too," Trevor told her, "I should meet this soon-to-be father-in-law; I need to ask him for a daughter, can’t have you promised to some other Prince."

"Tomorrow... Won’t it be too rushed?" She was a bit apprehensive.

With many people involved, Janelle Mills herself hadn’t decided the situation for tomorrow.

"How about this: Tomorrow, wait for my notice first. In any case, I’ll bring you to meet him as soon as possible, but the premise is that I need to appear before him myself first."

"Alright."

Trevor respected her choice and understood her feelings, "I won’t pressure you; I just think it’s etiquette for me to take the initiative to meet him, then ask him to comfortably hand over his daughter to me."

Hearing his words, Janelle felt very at ease and happy.

After going upstairs, Janelle Mills entered the guest bedroom. She closed the door and continued to chat with him, sharing her good mood of the day before saying goodnight.

An hour later, in the villa’s master bedroom, Old Mills came out of the bathroom with a white robe wrapped around his body, walking towards the figure standing by the window.

Carlotta Sterling was enjoying the night view outside the window; under the warm yellow streetlights, the roses were in full bloom.

Upon hearing footsteps, she returned to reality and was about to turn her gaze when Old Mills hugged her from behind, her back gently pressed against his warm chest.

"Honey, what are you thinking about?" The man whispered into her ear.

Carlotta Sterling hadn’t heard this term of endearment in a long time; suddenly, she felt as if she had returned to her youth, recalling the new wedding night when she had locked him out.

An involuntary sense of guilt filled her heart, realizing she had been so immature and willful in her youth.

With the edges softened, she started to reflect.

Gently turning from his embrace, Carlotta Sterling reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling at him, "I was thinking about how I should be a good wife and mother in the days to come."

Their gazes met, and Old Mills felt very gratified, saying, "Actually, just being yourself is enough."
