"If I don’t make him go on blind dates, do you think he can find a wife on his own?"

"If he can’t find one, he’ll just stay single! What are you meddling for?"

"He’s nothing like his older brothers. I never had to worry about them—they brought their wives home early on. But look at him..." A thought suddenly struck Mrs. Fairchild.

"Old man! Come here!"

Master Fairchild set down his tea set and walked over. "What is it that you can’t just say from over there?"

"Do you think... our third son... has some kind of hidden problem? Or maybe... he doesn’t like women?"

"You! Just listen to yourself! What kind of nonsense are you thinking about all day?"

Mrs. Fairchild sighed. It wasn’t that her imagination was running wild, but would a normal man really not have a single girlfriend? He was almost thirty!

"Ma, I had Ethan call our third brother, too. He probably just got back to the country and is swamped with work, so he hasn’t had time to come home. Once he gets through this busy period, he’ll have time to come back and see you," Zoe Quinn said, walking over and taking Mrs. Fairchild’s arm to comfort her.

"That’s right, Ma. Our third brother is so exceptional; how could he possibly have trouble finding a girlfriend? I saw some gossip a few days ago that he went to Cragmore and even appeared on a live reality show."

"Noelle, are you talking about our third brother?"

"I have the video!" Noelle Grant immediately pulled out her phone and found the clip she had saved.

Mrs. Fairchild immediately put on her reading glasses. The thought that she had to resort to watching her own son on a phone screen made her heart ache again.

"It really is our third brother! Who’s that girl? They look great together!"

"She’s an actress named Melody Monroe. I’ve been obsessed with her show, *Warm Wind Blowing North*. Isn’t she gorgeous? Online, they call her a living, breathing fairy."

"She really is gorgeous," Zoe Quinn couldn’t help but exclaim.

After watching the short video, Mrs. Fairchild took off her glasses again. "Noelle, this Melody Monroe... is she one of his company’s actresses?"

"I don’t think so. In fact, I saw this morning that Melody Monroe terminated her contract with Stellaris. The official announcement says she’s starting her own studio."

"It’s not like our third brother has never been rumored to be with a starlet before," Ethan interjected.

"So is he really involved with this actress?" Ethan asked again.

"Well, the rumor online is that Melody Monroe has a wealthy patron. Eldest Sister-in-law, you’ve heard of Angel’s Tears, right?"

"I have," Zoe Quinn nodded.

"It was gifted to Melody Monroe. How many people do you think are out there who can afford to give away Angel’s Tears?" Noelle Grant asked.

The room fell silent.

Not a single person suspected that Evan Fairchild had been the one to send it.

"All he does is get mixed up with actresses! Can’t he just find a normal girl!" Mrs. Fairchild couldn’t help but complain.
