Every time he returned from one of his disappearances, he was covered in injuries. That one time was the worst.

Over the past few years, he disappeared less and less frequently.

In the last year or two, he had even stopped disappearing altogether.

Rose Shaw had no idea what burdens he truly carried.

...

When Melody Monroe received Rose Shaw’s call, she was in the garden playing with Ian and Bunny.

"Okay, Rose, see you in a bit."

"Mama, are you going out?" Ian Monroe looked up at his mother. Mr. Fairchild had finally left on an errand, and she had only been playing with him for a short while. Was she leaving already?

"Mama has to go discuss something very important. I’ll come right back to play with Ian when I’m done, okay?"

"Okay." Ian Monroe nodded.

Melody Monroe went back upstairs to change and made a quick call to Keith Coleman.

An hour later, the two of them arrived at the place Rose had arranged.

It wasn’t Stellaris HQ, but an elegant café. To avoid any unexpected trouble, Rose Shaw had arranged to meet here.

The moment they walked in, Rose immediately waved them over.

"Rose, have you been waiting long?"

"Not at all, I just got here myself. I didn’t expect you to be so quick." Rose said, pulling out a termination agreement along with another contract.

Melody Monroe looked at the termination agreement. The penalty fee was already filled in—still five hundred thousand, with no changes.

Rose Shaw knew it was only a matter of time before Melody terminated her contract. So, after eighty million was pulled from the last project, she hadn’t taken on any new roles for Melody.

The more famous she became, the higher the cost of termination would be.

Now, Melody leaving Stellaris was exactly what she wanted to see. ’Once free from Stellaris, Melody will surely skyrocket to fame and become a huge star.’

’There wasn’t much else she could give Melody, but she could at least do her best to help her regain her freedom.’

"If everything looks good, just sign the termination agreement, and it will be official."

Melody Monroe took the pen and signed her name.

"Rose, thank you."

"Don’t mention it. We’re no longer colleagues, but I’ll always see you as a little sister."

"The feeling is mutual." Melody Monroe nodded earnestly.

Rose Shaw looked at Keith Coleman. "I’m entrusting Melody to you now."

"Of course. And our door is always open for you, too."

Rose Shaw just smiled, not answering the question. She picked up a folder that was sitting beside the contract and handed it to Melody. "Take a look at this script. See if you’re interested."

Melody Monroe took the folder and flipped to the first page. She froze.

’Isn’t this the script Stellaris bought? The project was shelved because Lana Sheffield pulled the eighty million in funding. Why would Rose bring this?’

"I’ve read this script over and over. Based on my years of experience, I know it’ll be a hit. And besides you, no one else can play this role. If you’re interested, buy the rights to it. I’ve already done a lot of the prep work and have spoken with Director Walsh in detail several times. Once you have the script, you can go straight to him."

"Rose..."

"Consider it a congratulatory gift for starting your own studio."

"Alright. In that case, I’ll accept this script."

Melody had already read the script and absolutely loved the story and its characters.

The protagonist, the Princess of Solara, lives a life full of twists and turns. Her story is one of love and vengeance, of a nation’s fall and its restoration. The heroine’s life is an epic and moving legend.

The fact that Rose was willing to give her this script was an immense gift.
