Too Late For Regrets: I Sold My Soul To The New Intern
Chapter 90: A Sheep In Wolves Den
The demon’s peerless gaze fell upon her with curiosity at the woman standing bravely before him. She was not as tall as the whore that hid behind her...but she was definitely interesting enough to have the demon look her up and over multiple times.
He stared at his bloodied hand and his eyes wandered towards the broken weapon she used to stop him gathered like stones beside her feet.
He stared at those fine legs of hers that didn’t deserve to be scarred by the sharp shards of the flower pot.
But there was something about her that made him angry as well.
She seemed like a difficult person.
A woman hard to break and force into submission.
Those hard and ugly eyes of him hardened down on her as he took one predatory step towards their trembling form.
’’What has a sheep doing in the den of wolves?’’ He said, taking another step. One that made Alveerah to tremble as she peeked from behind Corrine’s shoulder.
But Corrine refused to let this ten feet tall bastard have the satisfaction of seeing the fear in her eyes. She had already faced and dealt with bigger monsters than him—hell, she had just survived not getting eaten by a possible one hundred feet long titan snake hours ago!
A pervert without a leash of control on him shouldn’t be that hard to deal with.
The pressure of glass breaking underneath the monster’s feet cut through the tense silence that lingered. He approached them with so much ferocity and intimidation that could cause any mortal or being to bow and cower at his feet.
But Corrine’s gaze only darkened at him, refusing to be intimidated so easily.
’’Little human,’’ he began when he was close enough to stare down at her. ’’You are getting in the way of my entertainment tonight. I don’t mind having you both...’’ his shameless lustful eyes on her made her sick to the stomach that she wanted to throw up.
’’But I much prefer my women to be fragile and helpless. Not violent and insubordinate like you.’’
Oh.
Corrine became more interested in teaching this bastard a huge lesson that night. No matter who he is or what he was.
’’I am Hades first cousin. The Great Gate Keeper of the Underworld. You should be afraid of me and I am not someone you wish to cross this night. I can break you right after peeling every skin from your body and listen to your cries as you beg me to stop and I won’t.’’
Her anger and disgust reached their peak.
’’I can break you both in ways you can never imagine. So move before I move you myself.’’
What..?
’’Get lost.’’
Oh.
She perfectly understands him now.
He is just merely the head of the security team of the underworld and he has this much arrogance flowing in and out of him?
Her eyes moved over to the demon taking refuge behind her. She noticed the bruise mark on her shoulder and turned her head slowly in anger towards the demon.
And when he tried to reach for the demon hiding behind her again, Corrine didn’t hesitate to raise her hand and land him a hot slap across his face.
Alveerah found herself gasping in fear quickly before the world and the demon processed what had just befell him. His left cheek burned like the bottom of a kettle placed on top of a burning stove. The mark of her slap formed an ugly scar across his rough cheeks.
Then the demon’s eyes revert back to her in disbelief. The fires of hades and hell altogether burning in them.
’’I can do it again if you are still clueless of your words and actions.’’
The demon would rather be cursed and torn apart by the thunder bolts that tore the night sky apart than to accept being humiliated by a mere mortal.
Alveerah jumped back in fear and screamed when the demon before them grabbed Corrine’s neck tightly, bringing her close enough to feel the burn of his gaze and see the fire in his eyes. His hold around her neck was surely going to leave a red mark with the intensity of which he strangled her before throwing her harshly on the ground...enough to make her body jolt in pain.
She had merely just recovered from all that happened to her that being thrown across the room like a loose sack of potatoes felt like she was being thrown multiple times against the wall.
Alveerah’s gaze widened when the human responded by letting out saliva with blood in it. Corrine closed her eyes as she tried to endure and push through the sharp pain.
He definitely didn’t throw her against the ground with normal, human strength. It was powerful enough to break all the bones in her body. Even the floor cracked beneath the impact.
She frowned when it was hard for her to even rise again and face the shameless monster.
Corrine gasped out in pain when she felt something heavy on her back with enough force to keep her pressed to the ground.
’’No! Leave her alone! You monster!’’
SLAP.
Alveerah was sent flying in the opposite direction, colliding with the nearest wall before rolling on the ground unconscious.
’’Lousy shameless things.’’
Corrine cried out when he ground his feet repeatedly on her back, before moving his shoe over the back of her head and causing her even greater pain.
Corrine didn’t believe it and he looked determined to crush her completely beneath his feet.
She tried and struggled to resist and return to her feet but failed.
’’Whore. I am sure you wouldn’t be this sassy when I tied you down to my bed and fuck you brains out!’’
He spat down on her and continued his assault. His demonic gaze burned down on her in rage and filth. He wanted to end her badly for the disrespect.
’’Arghhhhh!’’ Corrine cried out again in frustration when he refused to let her go.
Shortly after and in the heat of the moment, Azazel materialized like a shadow from a nearby wall. Quickly casting one of his demonic magic and without warning, the great gate keeper of the underworld stumbled back from his assault. A bust of dark energy sent him off balance by a few steps and Corrine let out a quick breath of relief.
Razhaiel held on to his chest and looked up suddenly to see who had interfered. Azazel stepped closer, giving the demon a death look before looking down briefly at the human struggling beneath their feet.
’’Do you want to die quickly as well?’’ Azazel said to him in a strange tone. It confused Razh a lot that he had to look at the human once again while recovering from Azazel’s magic. His eyes narrowed down on her small, and trembling form. Wondering how this measly thing could end up being his downfall. But the hot, venomous glares his master gave him told him otherwise and for a moment he felt lost.
’’What do you mean...she is just a human I am trying to get rid off. Hell, how did she even find her way up here.’’
Azazel tried not to get rid of the demon himself. He was so clueless, foolish, stupid, reckless, suicidal and...
’’You really are out of your mind if you know who she is and just pretending not to.’’
’’What..?’’ Rahz looked genuinely lost, but it was already too late.
A pair of golden eyes had been watching right from the start.
