Chapter 276 - 154: Two 4+4s: Hidden Dragon and Phoenix Chick

Chapter 276: Chapter 154: Two 4+4s: Hidden Dragon and Phoenix Chick

The Medical Affairs Department was similar to a public hospital’s medical administration office—the department responsible for handling all medical-related matters.

He was racing against the clock. He had to secure his compensation before that other man exposed the incident.

If that man moved quickly and exposed it first, there would be no sheep left for him to fleece.

A reckless medical center like this deserved to be squeezed for every last penny.

Otherwise, they’d just keep treating patients like idiots.

"Mr. Chen, why don’t we discuss this privately? There’s no need to blow things out of proportion. How about I treat you to dinner tonight and give you a proper apology..."

Seeing that Chen Mo was about to notify the Medical Affairs Department, Tong Xiaohua grew even more frantic. She quickly grabbed his arm and deliberately brushed herself against him.

As she did so, she winked, as if trying to seduce him with some unspoken promise.

This was the career path her father had paved for her; she couldn’t let anything jeopardize it.

If something went wrong, her whole family would be ruined. So, she decided to go all in and try a honey trap on Chen Mo.

"Have some self-respect. Since you won’t make the call, then get ready to become a trending topic."

Chen Mo immediately yanked his arm away and put a safe distance between them.

’What a cheap move, trying to use a honey trap.’

’Do you even know how to use one of those?’

’Do you have the talent or the assets for it?’

"Mr. Chen, please, calm down! I... I’ll notify the Medical Affairs Department."

When Tong Xiaohua heard Chen Mo’s threat about making her a trending topic, she immediately started contacting the Medical Affairs Department.

If it were handled internally, they might go easy on her for her father’s sake.

But if this went viral, she’d be completely finished.

Soon, the head of the Medical Affairs Department rushed into Tong Xiaohua’s office.

When Tong Xiaohua explained the situation, he felt like the sky was falling!

One person wrote the wrong test order, another faked the examination, and they even managed to diagnose a man with a gynecological disease.

This pair, the "Hidden Dragon and Phoenix Chick," almost made his blood pressure burst through the roof.

If this wasn’t handled properly, Yuan Sheng Medical Center would absolutely become a trending topic.

And other things would be dug up. He was afraid that would lead to even bigger problems.

Therefore, this situation had to be resolved, and resolved well.

"Director Zhang..."

Seeing the director arrive, Tong Xiaohua was so ashamed she couldn’t even look him in the eye.

Director Zhang shot her a fierce glare but didn’t have the energy to deal with her right now.

"I’m terribly sorry, Mr. Chen. This was a mistake on our part."

"May I see the report? I need to get a handle on the situation first."

Director Zhang apologized to Chen Mo before asking to see the report.

He had only heard Tong Xiaohua’s account and hadn’t seen the report himself. He needed to verify its contents.

"It’s on her computer."

Chen Mo glanced toward Tong Xiaohua.

’Now that they know the report is the problem, what if they try to snatch it and tear it up?’

’When he’d shown it to Tong Xiaohua earlier, he was confident he could have snatched it back before she destroyed it.’

"Alright. I’ll look at the report first. Please, have a seat and wait a moment."

Seeing how cautious Chen Mo was, Director Zhang realized he wasn’t going to be easy to deal with.

He walked over to Tong Xiaohua’s computer, quickly found the report, and scanned through it.

It was basically just as Tong Xiaohua had described.

But when he saw the names of the two responsible—Tong Xiaohua, who had ordered the test, and Xiao Yajing, the examining physician, this pair of Hidden Dragon and Phoenix Chick—his vision went dark.

He knew exactly what kind of people these two were.

But he never imagined they could screw up this badly.

"Mr. Chen, this was a basic, unforgivable error on our center’s part. It caused you and your father a terrible experience, and for that, I apologize once again!"

"To make up for our mistake, our center is prepared to offer your parents a complete, complimentary re-examination. I guarantee there will be absolutely no further issues!"

Director Zhang apologized to Chen Mo again and presented his compensation offer.

"That won’t be necessary," Chen Mo said with a cold laugh, shaking his head. "Your medical center has certainly been an eye-opener. I wouldn’t dare seek treatment here again."

He rejected the offer outright.

’Anyone who’d still dare get treated at this medical center after something like this would have to be superhuman.’

Chen Mo wasn’t about to let them treat his parents like lab rats.

Besides, after such an egregious incident, did they really think they could smooth things over with just a free re-examination for his parents?

They weren’t just treating the patient like an idiot; they were treating his family like idiots, too.

"In that case, what are your demands? Please, feel free to state them."

Director Zhang hadn’t expected to resolve this so easily, so he cut straight to the chase.

A matter like this had to be handled as quickly as possible.

After all, while the medical center wasn’t overflowing with patients, it still had a steady stream of them.

If Chen Mo went out and made a scene, publicizing the incident, the impact on their medical center would be devastating.

"I have no demands. I just want to expose this incident and make your medical center a trending topic."

"I’d love to see if your medical center can stay in business after everyone finds out you diagnose men with gynecological diseases."

Chen Mo deliberately avoided making any demands, only stating his intention to expose them.

’If he took the initiative to state his demands, wouldn’t that be extortion?’

’He was far too experienced to make such a rookie mistake.’

"Mr. Chen, I understand how you feel, but there’s a better way to handle this. There’s no need for things to get ugly."

"We did make a mistake, but please give us a chance to make it right."

"How about this? Let me make a phone call, and then I’ll get back to you with a response. What do you say?"

Director Zhang figured that if Chen Mo was dead set on exposing them, the matter was beyond his authority. He needed to call in the big guns.

At this, Chen Mo said nothing.

Taking his silence as assent, Director Zhang made the call right there in Tong Xiaohua’s office.
