Chapter 2466: Regina Isadora Shows Up and Gets Face Slapped

The phone’s message still lingered on the one he sent before taking a shower.

[D: Boss, I heard there’s a man in your house?]

The avatar on the other end was silent.

No intention of replying.

He looked at the message he sent over half an hour ago but felt no anger; instead, he grinned and muttered to himself, "Seems like what Emma Gabehart mentioned in the group is true."

As he spoke, someone knocked and entered.

The stubble-faced man restrained his rugged smile, holding a cup of noodles, and let the person in: "Come in."

Someone came in from outside.

They quickly reached him and stood respectfully.

"Anything?"

The person noticed him eating noodles and quickly said, "Boss, someone came seeking out, seems to be... Regina Isadora. He says he wants to discuss business with you."

The stubbled man set down the noodles, raised his eyes in irritation, and snapped, "What Regina Isadora, Wang Qingliu, didn’t you see I’m eating noodles? I’m busy!"

The person sensibly indicated, "Then I’ll ask him to leave."

The man put down the noodles and wiped his mouth, halting the person: "Wait a minute."

The subordinate immediately paused to hear his orders.

He seemed to recall why Regina Isadora’s name sounded so familiar—wasn’t he from the Hidden Family?

He smirked with a trace of disdain in his eyes, drew a sheet from a tissue pack to wipe his mouth, and casually said, "Tell him, our dealings with the Hidden Family are always only with Martin. If he’s intruding, ask him to bring the Hidden Family’s replacement seal; then I’ll talk with him."

"Understood." The subordinate memorized his words silently.

"Off you go." The man gestured for him to leave.

Then he resumed his noodles, eating with relish, periodically lifting his head to check the phone, watching if the person noted as Q had replied.

...

Outside, the subordinate relayed his words verbatim to Regina Isadora.

Regina Isadora’s aging face almost cracked, his mouth twisted down sharply, and he spat: "Let’s go!"

The bearded man beside him followed in gloomy silence, murmuring, "Mr. Isadora, are we just letting this slide?"

The opponent had humiliated them.

Regina Isadora didn’t pursue it?

They needed to leave here dejectedly.

Regina Isadora stepped out of the hotel, taking a deep breath of the cold air outside.

Inderia, in March or April, had just entered spring, with temperatures cool before The Sun appeared.

He inhaled sharply to suppress the fire in his chest, and in the gap while waiting for the car, he furrowed his brow and said darkly, "The man and Martin have unusual relations. Moreover, the source of those weapons should be someone providing for him... We entirely have no idea who stands behind him."

"In this instance, we can’t clash head-on with him!"

So he could only swallow this whole matter bitterly.

It was all because this weapons businessman had powerful backing.

Since Regina Isadora arrived in Inderia, nothing he attempted had been successfully fulfilled, facing constant setbacks, leaving him uncomfortable.

He clasped his hands behind his back, with eyes deepened as he watched the driver’s car approaching, turned back, and whispered, "Regardless, we still need a way to deal with him, after all, he holds the weapons we want..."

The bearded big man gradually calmed at this point, and with reluctant endurance, nodded, "Understood."
