Nathalie Quinlan rubbed her forehead, exasperated by him, and emphasized, "I’ve known him for many years as a friend. If you want to be precise, it’s probably... a bond of life and death?"

Amadeus Yancey heard her mention ’bond of life and death,’ his eyelids twitched again, and he simply sat back, exhaling a breath of turbid air, and said with some helplessness, "Forget it, I shouldn’t have asked. Asking just pisses me off."

Nathalie gave him a sidelong glance, then simply lowered her head and started playing with her phone.

Nathalie had just finished typing a message back when she looked up at his words, her cold, bright eyes looked at him without much surprise at such a person, and she responded indifferently, "Oh."

Amadeus heard her absent-minded "Oh" and, for some reason, the irritability between his brows dissipated, and a hint of a smile appeared in his eyes. As he continued driving, he went on, "Rumor has it this weapons dealer has a very powerful new weapon. The Kingsleys Family and Regina Isadora have already received the message, and others in Inderia who’ve heard the news are eager to win over this mysterious weapon dealer."

Nathalie listened intently, and just then, her phone lit up with another new message, which she looked down to check.

Amadeus also saw a glimpse of it.

It seemed a person named D was contacting her.
