He leaned against the edge of the sofa, still playing with the tea set in his hand, a mocking curve on his lips, as he spoke in a calm tone: "Or are you saying, Mr. Garland, you can’t produce the evidence. You’re just causing trouble here to cover up your own guilt."

Nathan Garland’s face darkened, and he replied coldly, "What do I have to be guilty about?"

"Oh? You haven’t seen Madeleine’s post on the WLA forum?"

Amadeus in Beijing always knows how to make a person’s psychological defense collapse!

"Or, why don’t you explain to us about the post saying you took credit for your subordinates’ research achievements to gain praise for yourself and your favored students?"

As expected, Nathan Garland’s breathing became unsteady: "I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have nothing to explain! That’s pure slander!"

Nathalie Quinlan chuckled, watching him struggle in vain, stepping forward, she asked him leisurely: "So you’re saying who is framing you?"

"Hmph!" Nathan Garland glared at her defiantly, as if Nathalie was beneath him, his expression momentarily twisted: "Who is framing me, they know well! Isn’t it because there have been some rumors spreading in the institute these days, you think it’s me spreading them outside."

His words were clearly meant to shift the blame of the slander onto Nicholas Fuller and Nathalie Quinlan.

Nicholas Fuller almost didn’t restrain himself from kicking him.

Luckily, Nathalie Quinlan never gave him the opportunity, brazenly tearing the facade: "So you mean the dean and I are framing you. You weren’t the one spreading those rumors outside?"

Nathan Garland was a seasoned hand, there was no way he would confess to such implications in public, he responded without thinking: "I didn’t say that."

Nathalie Quinlan has always been someone who finds arguing with people tiresome.

She nodded, pulled out a tablet from her body, placed it in front of Nathan Garland, stood up straight, and asked him: "Is ’Black Night Lighthouse’ your ID?"

"What Black Night Lighthouse?" Nicholas Fuller didn’t even know what the ID of the person spreading rumors was, mainly because Nathalie deleted the original post immediately.

Orson Saban was aware, he pulled him aside, and whispered: "Nathalie is referring to the person spreading rumors about you leaking exam questions."

Nicholas Fuller frowned, instinctively turned his head, and looked directly at Nathan Garland.

He immediately thought of Nathan Garland, and he was 60% sure that Nathan Garland was behind this!

But when the truth was before him, he still felt disgrace for Nathan Garland’s actions.

Nathan Garland’s eyes began to wander when Nathalie Quinlan mentioned his ID, but he remained fairly composed, holding his head high and outright denying it!

"I’ve never heard of that name. If you have something to say, just say it, no need to beat around the bush."

"Alright."

Nobody expected Nathalie to agree so readily; she immediately connected the tablet to the projector in Nicholas Fuller’s office, projecting the images from the tablet onto the wall.

The large projector displayed the images very clearly, even those watching in the hallway outside the office could clearly see the content on it.

Nathalie turned around, taking her hand off the mouse, looked back at Nathan Garland, one hand casually resting on the side, and said to him: "You bought an overseas domain ID through the black market thinking no one could trace it to you. But you seem to have misunderstood something..."

Nathan Garland’s face turned ashen, his throat stuffed with cotton, making a gurgling sound, but unable to utter a word.
