Chapter 119: 119 Yun Che Arrives At The Battlefield

119 Yun Che Arrives At The Battlefield

Flames exploded, forcing Mirevra to retreat. The other Elemental appeared behind her, but she was able to sense its presence and, at the critical moment, agilely turned her body.

A burst of fire struck her sword. Even though she dodged and used the sword to block the attack, the Elder was sent flying backward and landed on the ground.

Before she could regain her balance, three Elementals attacked simultaneously. Mirevra blocked the first, dodged the second, but the third struck her ribs with tremendous force.

Her body crashed through a rock formation in a blazing explosion of flames. The remaining Medusas shouted.

"Elder!"

Mirevra stood up among the rubble, blood flowing from her mouth. She looked behind her.

The warriors were surrounded.

Beastmen advanced from one side. Lizardmen from the other. The Elementals stood before them.

There was no escape.

Mirevra slowly breathed in.

"Then come."

She advanced once again, and the remaining Medusas also charged against the thousands of soldiers in the enemy army.

The battle became a complete massacre, with countless arrows striking soldiers, swords piercing bodies, axes crushing heads, and spears piercing torsos.

Then the violent flames arrived, announcing the end.

A wave of fire swept across the battlefield like rain.

Dozens of Medusas were struck by the Elementals’ blazing flames. Some fell immediately, while others continued fighting as their bodies burned.

One warrior managed to reach a Beastman and pierce his chest with her sword before falling to her knees. Another tried to attack an Elemental, which merely looked at her with contempt.

A hand covered in fire struck the warrior’s chest, turning her into a piece of glowing charcoal.

Her body, now little more than pieces of charcoal, was thrown several meters away, but she died before touching the ground.

Mirevra continued fighting. She cut down a Lizardman, then spun as her sword struck another.

A spear of flame pierced her shoulder. Mirevra pulled the weapon out of her own body and then attacked in another direction. Her sword pierced the soldier’s chest.

He fell dead.

She concentrated an enormous amount of spiritual energy into her sword and unleashed a powerful strike that killed three dozen enemy soldiers at once.

Then, a pillar of flames struck her back.

The Elder fell onto one knee.

The Elementals approached.

Mirevra tried to stand but couldn’t.

She had taken her recovery pill a long time ago. Now her body had reached its limit, and there was nothing else she could do.

When she looked around, there was not a single warrior alive behind her.

They were all dead.

She closed her eyes for a moment.

In her mind, her entire life passed before her eyes.

She had lived her life to the fullest and had no regrets.

She thought of her companions and regretted that she could not see them one last time.

She thought of the Queen and regretted that she would never see her again.

From the bottom of her heart, she hoped that the Queen was far away from this territory and that the time she had bought would be enough for the Queen and some of the Medusas to escape.

More than thirty hours had passed since the Queen had left.

That meant that if she had escaped, she would already be far away from the Medusa Mountain Range by now, and no enemy would be able to find her.

Knowing that the Queen would avenge every warrior who had lost her life in this war, she felt a sense of relief in her heart.

Only then did she open her eyes, revealing an unshakable determination.

There was no fear in her eyes.

Only determination.

"I am the last one."

Her spiritual energy exploded one final time.

Without caring about anything else, she charged forward.

The six Elementals attacked simultaneously.

A gigantic explosion covered the mountainside, and flames rose into the sky.

When the smoke began to disappear, Mirevra was kneeling.

Her sword had fallen.

A massive wound stretched across her open chest.

She tried to breathe, but couldn’t.

Her body was on fire, the flames consuming her.

She looked one last time toward the territory of the Medusas.

Then she fell.

Mirevra was dead.

Not a single Medusa remained alive on that battlefield.

The west had fallen.

The Elementals remained silent for several seconds.

Then they began walking and entered the territory of the Medusas.

Behind them, the battlefield continued burning.

Bodies from both sides were scattered across the ground.

Some were still on fire.

Smoke covered the mountains.

The Elementals slowly advanced deeper into the territory until a huge shadow crossed the sky, accompanied by a draconic roar.

Everyone stopped.

The Beastmen looked up, while the Lizardmen raised their weapons.

The six Elementals also raised their eyes.

A gigantic creature crossed through the clouds.

A dragon made of bones, with blue flames surrounding its body.

Andarna descended rapidly with two figures standing on her back.

One of them had long green hair.

The small green snake eyes in her hair moved restlessly.

Ariselle.

Beside her stood a figure dressed in black, with a white mask completely covering his face.

Yun Che.

The entire battlefield seemed to stop.

Even the Elementals remained motionless.

The Queen of the Medusas had left the mausoleum.

And the necromancer was with her.

Andarna continued descending, and then an extremely powerful spiritual energy began spreading throughout the mountains.

Luminous lines appeared across the ground.

Then on the mountain walls.

Then above the clouds.

Formations began connecting.

A massive spiritual structure slowly emerged over the mountain range.

A huge barrier once again covered the territory of the Medusas.

The soldiers looked upward.

"What..."

A Lizardman was unable to finish his sentence.

The barrier began to rise.

First over the west.

Then the east.

Then the north and south.

The entire mountain range began to be enveloped by a gigantic spiritual barrier.

The mountains trembled.

The ancient formations responded.

Energy spread throughout the entire territory.

Shaara raised her eyes.

Thesira also noticed the change from the other side of the mountain range.

The remaining warriors looked toward the sky.

The invaders did the same.

No one knew what was happening.

Yun Che remained atop Andarna.

His white mask revealed nothing of his expression.

Ariselle looked down.

The barrier continued growing until it finally covered the entire mountain range.

The invaders remained motionless.

For the first time since the beginning of the war, none of them advanced.

They simply stared at the sky, unaware of what Yun Che had prepared.
