"Hmm... I’m sorry for disturbing you two, then. sigh."

Arnold rubbed the back of his neck with an apologetic expression. Now he was feeling bad for interrupting them.

Amon watched him for a moment before letting out a sigh. "Brother, if you want to talk to me, then let’s do it later. I’m kind of busy right now."

"Sigh... Yeah. I didn’t realize you two were on a date." The moment Arnold said those words, both Amon and Seraphina stiffened.

Their eyes slowly shifted toward each other. Then, almost simultaneously, they turned toward Arnold.

Arnold immediately noticed their reactions. He awkwardly cleared his throat.

"Hmm... Anyway, I’ll leave you two alone for now. But give me a call tomorrow when you’re free. There’s something important I need to talk to you about."

After saying that he turned around and began walking away.

"Wait, Arnold!" Amon stopped him. He immediately stood up.

"Why are you leaving? We can talk right now, you know."

Seraphina also rose from the bench.

"Yes, we can. Also, Amon and I aren’t on a date."

Her voice became slightly flustered. "W-We were just hanging out."

Arnold stopped and looked back at them. He frowned slightly. "Hey, I already know you two are dating, so why are you trying to hide it?"

Amon’s expression changed.

Seraphina stared at Arnold in surprise.

"How did you know about that?" she asked. "We certainly didn’t tell you."

Arnold scratched his cheek awkwardly. "Well... I accidentally heard Aisha, Marcus, and Eliana talking about you two."

He quickly raised both hands. "It was completely by chance! I wasn’t eavesdropping on them."

Seraphina’s eyes narrowed. "So you actually eavesdropped on my friends."

A cold glint appeared in her golden eyes. Arnold felt a shiver run down his spine.

"N-No! That’s not what I meant!" He immediately began waving his hands. "I swear, I wasn’t intentionally listening. I just happened to be nearby."

Seraphina continued staring at him.

Arnold swallowed nervously. "Cough... Anyway, don’t worry. I have no reason to tell anyone about you two."

He gave them an awkward smile. "So I’ll keep it a secret."

Amon turned toward Seraphina.

"Should we believe him?"

Seraphina thought for a moment. Then she glanced at Arnold.

"Hmm..." Her eyes moved back toward Amon. "He wanted to talk to you about something important, right?"

Amon nodded.

"Then how about you talk to him now?" she suggested. "You can also make sure he understands that this relationship needs to remain a secret."

Amon’s expression immediately became troubled.

"But our dat—"

"Hehe."

Seraphina smiled softly. "We can go on a date anytime. Why are you so worried?" She looked toward the city streets. "Let’s come back tomorrow instead."

A smile slowly formed on Amon’s face. "You’re so sweet, Sera!"

Without thinking, he leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her soft body.

Seraphina’s eyes widened. "Hey!" She quickly glanced around. "We’re in public!"

Her face had already turned bright red.

Amon couldn’t help but enjoy her reaction.

"Hehe. Sorry."

He reluctantly pulled away. Then, before she could say anything else, he leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"Go back safely."

Seraphina froze. Her cheeks became even redder. She stared at him for a moment before quietly nodding.

"Okay..."

Her voice was unusually soft. She tried her best to maintain her usual calm, emotionless expression. Unfortunately, the blush covering her face completely betrayed her.

She quickly turned around.

"Then... I’ll see you tomorrow."

And with that, she hurried away. Amon watched her disappear into the crowd with a satisfied smile.

Arnold, meanwhile, stood completely frozen. His mouth was slightly open. His eyes followed Seraphina’s retreating figure in disbelief.

’What the hell did I just witness?’

This was Seraphina Luminous. One of the top-ranked students in the academy.

A powerful noble lady. A woman known for her overwhelming strength and ruthless attitude toward her opponents.

She normally carried herself with an indifferent, almost untouchable demeanor. Her expression rarely changed.

And yet Arnold had just watched that same woman turn bright red from a simple kiss on the cheek.

She had been flustered and embarrassed.

And, somehow, incredibly adorable. Arnold slowly turned toward Amon. He stared at him as though he were looking at a completely different person.

"Brother..."

"Hm?"

Amon glanced at him.

Arnold remained silent for several seconds. Then he shook his head.

"Nothing."

Amon raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

Arnold sighed.

"I just realized something."

"What?"

Arnold looked in the direction Seraphina had disappeared.

"You really are crazy."

Amon grinned. "Hehe. I get that a lot. Don’t know why people say that."

Arnold rubbed his forehead.

’No wonder the academy would explode if people found out about this.’

He had originally come here because there was something extremely important he needed to discuss with Amon.

But after witnessing that scene. He suddenly felt that whatever trouble Amon was already involved in was probably going to become much, much worse.

---

Later That Evening

The sun had already begun to sink toward the horizon by the time Arnold and Amon left the main academy grounds.

They walked in silence for several minutes.

Amon occasionally glanced at Arnold. The young man had been unusually quiet ever since they left Elarith City.

’Something is definitely wrong.’

Amon could tell.

Arnold wasn’t the type to act this serious without a reason.

Eventually, they reached the rear side of the academy.

Beyond the massive stone walls was a dense stretch of woodland that surrounded the academy grounds. The trees grew thickly here, their branches intertwining overhead and blocking most of the remaining sunlight.

Amon recognized the place almost immediately. His eyebrows rose.

"Wait..."

He looked around.

"This place..."

He remembered it. A few weeks ago, he had come here with Seraphina. It was the same secluded area where they had talked privately about their feelings.

Back then, neither of them had been in a relationship. Now things were completely different.

Amon couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

Arnold glanced at him.

"What?"

"Nothing. Just remembered something amazing so smiled."

Amon waved his hand. "Let’s just say I have some memories here."

Arnold gave him a strange look but decided not to ask.

They continued deeper into the woods. The farther they went, the quieter the surroundings became.

The sounds of the academy gradually disappeared behind them. Soon, there was nothing but the rustling of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds.

After walking for several more minutes, Arnold finally stopped.

"We’re here."

Amon looked around. There was no one. That’s why he had brought Amon here. he must be wanted to talk something very important.

The trees completely concealed the area from the academy, making it almost impossible for anyone passing by to notice them.

Amon crossed his arms. "So?"

Arnold didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he carefully looked around.

He looked at his left then at his right, behind them. He made absolutely certain that nobody was nearby.

Amon watched him. "You’re making this sound more serious by the second."

"It is serious." Arnold’s expression was unusually solemn.

Amon’s smile faded slightly. "Alright."

He leaned against a tree. "I’m listening."

Arnold took a deep breath. For a while, he simply stood there. His hands clenched and unclenched nervously.

He had been thinking about this moment for quite some time. He had known from the beginning that revealing the existence of his System was dangerous.

The System was his greatest secret.

He had never told this to anyone, no one knew about it. But after everything he had witnessed recently. And after what that system suggested him.

He decided to reveal it to Amon.

Arnold finally looked directly at him.

"Amon."

"Hm?"

"I need to tell you something very important and I hope you won’t tell this to anyone."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Go ahead. I am listening and I won’t tell this to anyone. I promised."

Arnold hesitated. Then he slowly exhaled. "I have a System."

There was a silence. Amon blinked.

"...What?"

Arnold’s heart began beating faster. "I said I have a System."

Amon stared at the young master, Arnold, for several moments without saying a word.

The word System had triggered something deep within Amon’s mind, a fragment of knowledge buried deep in his memories from his past life.

Something he had read about countless times in web novels and seen in anime.

Arnold observed his reaction before nodding.

"Yes. Also how can you know what a System is? I’m the only person in the entire world who possesses one. Let me tell you what it is-"

"It’s something that gives you missions, and completing those missions gives you rewards and helps you grow stronger quickly?" Amon spoke before Arnold.

Arnold stared at Amon in pure shock after hearing his reply.

"Y-Yes... How did you know?"

Amon’s expression twitched. He sighed heavily. "You... You have a System..."

His voice gradually rose. "YOU HAVE A SYSTEM?! What the fuck?!"

Amon screamed in disbelief and anger as he stared at Arnold.
