Chapter 2934: A Troubled Newcomer I
Chapter 2934: A Troubled Newcomer I
Meanwhile, in another area of the Upper Realm...
A young man with a skinny appearance, small build and youthful features, who any ignoramus would say he was no more than 12, was fishing in a small wooden boat on a lake so large that its edges were beyond the visual reach of an ordinary human.
But for natives of the Upper Realm, seeing the boundaries of this area would be easy. Anyone in this region would notice the golden layer enveloping this ecosystem from the rest of the realm's characteristic underwater world.
In his little wooden boat, with room for only three grown men, the boy with the long sapphire hair had a stick in his hands, sitting on a stool while he watched the water mirror. His sharp gaze seemed interested in what he was about to take, when a woman suddenly appeared on his right side and kneeled down.
"Master, I have news from the Divine Path domain," said the level 127 True Celestial to the boy.
Despite his youthful appearance, Lydis was by no means young or simple. He was the strongest man in existence, the one without equal, even considering the Hell!
With his peak cultivation of level 129, Lydis could even create a space like the one he was fishing in right now in the underwater realm!
But despite his apparent moment of relaxation in this remote place in the realm, Lydis surprised his subordinate with a deeper understanding of the situation in the Divine Path territory than she had expected.
"Are you here to tell me about the newcomer brought to the realm by the junior Devdar?" He parted his lips as he looked with a smile at his kneeling subordinate.
"Yes, master. Minos Stuart has barely entered the realm and worrying rumors are circulating the dimension," said the woman in a serious tone.
But then Lydis laughed and turned his eyes back to the lake. "What's there to worry about? Let him experience the realm as he wishes. I'll be waiting for our meeting."
"Will he challenge you?" The underling looked at her master as if asking for confirmation.
"Time will tell. But it's certain that he'll come to me."
"The master wants to find him?" she asked in understanding, realizing there was more to this newly promoted human than met the eye.
Lydis shook his head in the affirmative. "I've been watching him for a long time... Soon he will come to me and show if he can fulfill his purpose. Until that day, make sure the rest of the cult doesn't pursue him. Let the other factions help him temper himself."
"This underling will do her best."
The woman disappeared along with her voice, leaving the boy fishing alone again.
Looking up at the sky from his 'small' independent space, Lydis muttered softly. "He's arrived early this time. Is this your promised heir, old friend?"
...
While in the territory of the Celestial Cult the order was to not to get involved with Minos was spreading, the situation was the opposite in the domain of the Light Path.
At the headquarters of the number one rival to Devdar's group, the domain's main Entitled Deities were gathered at the residence of the faction's leader, Sarey.
Sarey, a tall woman, almost 1.9 meters, 80 kilos well distributed on her extremely feminine body, with striking blood-colored hair, her early level 128 cultivation was pulsating strongly, enough to make her one of the 5 strongest in the realm.
She was at the head of a rectangular table in the main hall of her palace, with the gazes of 12 of her main heirs, all of them level 127 True Celestials.
"Minos Stuart has declared himself independent of the bastard Devdar and has already attacked us in his first action."
"The mongrel has taken the powers of all the Entitled Deities who were in his domain on the day of his arrival, forcing them to live under his rules like mortals!"
"That's certainly the Devdar's doing. The Great Eye said 10,000 years ago that Devdar's next heir would be the turning point in his journey."
"If the Great Eye wasn't wrong, that heir is Minos. Unfortunately, our companion failed to eliminate him before he completed Devdar's inheritance."
Several of those Celestials voiced their opinions and worried looks as Sarey allowed them to air their thoughts prior to her.
"Great leader, we must act and block Minos Stuart as soon as possible. If he is allowed to reap the rewards of his position while riding roughshod over our faction, he will be difficult to deal with in the future." One of Sarey's closest heirs said, while the others waited for their leader's orders.
Sarey, sitting on a golden throne, her hands pressed firmly against the armrests of her seat, was smiling, but the veins in her face were trembling, showing to them all her state of mind.
"It seems you have failed to block the addition of yet another heir of Devdar..." Her voice sounded like a knife cutting against stones, enraged by the position she had reached.
The 12 Deities swallowed their saliva in silence, none willing to break the uncomfortable silence that followed Sarey's poison-filled words.
"However, I'm going to give you one last chance. You have 100 days to deal with Minos Stuart. After that, I'll consider you to have failed... again!" The sound of her voice made not only the hearts of the 12 individuals tremble, but the building itself shook with the power of this woman.
When she made a simple hand gesture, the 12 left as quickly as they could, leaving only Sarey in that hall.
Looking at her throne, Sarey thought of Devdar, her greatest rival in the Upper Realm.
'These actions of a newbie... Tsk! This is your doing! Don't think you can fool me, you little shit! While my men go after your new heir, I should see you again! This time, though, you'll lose something!'
Not long after the departure of her heirs, Sarey moved, leaving her domain to put her own plans into practice.
...
While the major forces of the realm took their positions on Minos' initial actions, the rest of the dimension also reacted to his doings.
With thousands of Entitled Deities and countless factions, the realm was far more than the three dominant forces that Minos learned about from Devdar on his first day in the dimension. Smaller groups have little influence on their own, but when considered as a single entity, they could weigh down even important members of the major factions. Naturally, these smaller forces were aware of their relevance, but they were also concerned about unknown elements that could suddenly change life in the dimension.
As much as the beings of the realm could be killed, most of these beings would live on indefinitely and many in the dimension were already several million years old. For these beings used to stability, all new players were considered very carefully. Even more so when these newcomers showed themselves to be ambitious.
With the display of power and ambition that Minos had made, it didn't take long for these traditional beings to learn about him and for many to worry about his goals. Just a few days after Minos' ascension to the realm, various Entitled Deities were gathering to talk and plan what to do against him.
Among these groups, the dimension's main alliance of minor factions was already moving to test Minos' domain on one front and pressure him on another!
The most important members of this alliance were now traveling with a single goal in mind: Minos.
Ahead of them, swimming at high speed through this underwater, a True Celestial at the peak of level 127 was leading his 11 allies.
"Minos Stuart is cultivating outside his domain. Our men said that after meeting with Devdar and some smaller groups of Deities, he started to fulfill his duties with the dimension. He seems to have plans of action, so let's get in his way!
Now the most important thing is that we prevent him from getting a foothold in disputes outside the realm. Let's keep him trapped in the dimension, whatever the cost!"
Everyone in the group agreed, moving forward towards their goal, even considering the risks and limitations they would have in this situation.
