Chapter 336: Chapter 250: The Three-Dragon Steamroll Battle Plan

Zog wasn’t surprised that the Mammon Sect was making a move again.

The Magic Arrays in the various cities hadn’t been dismantled, so there was no reason for them to be used only once. On top of that, Zog had been loudly proclaiming on every channel that the Magic Vision Devices were perfectly safe. He gave off the impression of a conscienceless profiteer who was asking for a beating, which made him a prime target.

If they were going to act, they would certainly choose the time slot when the Magic Vision Device had the most viewers. That way, they could affect a larger audience.

The grand finale of *Feilin’s Best Songs* was obviously a perfect target.

To prepare for this, Zog had arranged heavy security. Several teams were monitoring the Magic Vision Device’s lines simultaneously to ensure they didn’t miss any anomalies.

"Has the Mammon Sect hijacked the signal already?"

As soon as he got the message from Doudou, Zog teleported to the Magic Vision Station’s engineering center.

"To be precise, they’ve *started* hijacking," Doudou replied, his tone relaxed.

"What do you mean, ’started’ hijacking?" Zog didn’t quite understand what "started" was referring to.

"It means they aren’t done yet."

Doudou pointed to a node in the magic model.

"We detected it the moment they applied the magic to the transmission lines. This type of magic is highly inefficient. They’ll need at least two more hours to finish swapping the source feed."

"You even figured out how much time they’d need?"

"Yep. I copied their magic into the editor and broke it down in no time. I even found several places to improve it. With my changes, getting the process down to ten minutes would be easy," Doudou said smugly.

Ever since the editor based on the High Level Magic Language was developed, Doudou had found himself becoming obsessed with it.

His years of accumulated knowledge about magic found a vast space for application. He’d even independently developed a few magic models, like turning his favorite comic book characters into desktop pets to keep on his game console.

After studying these kinds of magic more, he discovered that traditional magic, even Forbidden Techniques, were very simple in their construction.

’Seriously, what era is this? Who still uses traditional casting?’

As for the Mammon Sect’s magic, Doudou had only one word to describe it.

Primitive.

"Finding ways to improve it for them? Aren’t you just the nicest dragon."

"I know, right?"

Zog rapped Doudou on the head with his claw.

Hard.

Not many could take a hard knock from him and be perfectly fine, but Doudou was one of them.

"Instead of spending time analyzing the flaws in their magic, find out where they are first!"

While Doudou worked on tracking their location, Zog reviewed the current situation.

Both the Mammon Sect and the Church had clearly been fooled by the dual-line Magic Vision Station setup.

The source-swapping magic was being applied to the original line, which was no longer broadcasting publicly. Meanwhile, the Church’s surveillance had been redirected to the new, active line, so the two operations wouldn’t interfere with each other.

As a result, the Church hadn’t reacted at all.

Zog’s plan was to take Furin and Doudou—for a job like this, he had to rely on his own dragons—and rush to the sect’s location.

Furin would use her Illusion Technique to control everyone. After they confirmed what was at the scene, they would swap the video source the sect was preparing with a pre-recorded clip exposing the Church’s secrets. Then, they would alter the cultists’ memories to make them believe that Zog’s clip was the video they had intended to broadcast all along.

Afterward, they would leave and transfer the source-swapping magic to the new Magic Vision line to alert the Church. Just before the Church’s agents arrived, they would dispel the Illusion Technique.

According to their agreement, the Church was supposed to notify Zog after they found the culprits.

Then, Zog would show up, pretending it was his first time at the scene. By comparing the site before and after the Church’s arrival, he could figure out what they were trying to hide from him.

The live finale of *Feilin’s Best Songs* had already progressed to the second round.

If the plan went smoothly, the short clip exposing the Church’s dark dealings would air right around when the champion was being announced, getting maximum exposure during peak viewership.

’No need to thank me, Magic Goddess. It’s the least I, Zog, could do.’

"Zog, I’ve found them. They’re right here in the Royal City."

"Alright, let’s move out."

「A moment later. The Royal City of the Sutton Kingdom.」

A remote residential area, far from the kingdom’s center of power.

Night shrouded the poorly lit streets of the district.

A lineup of three Ancient Dragons—a force that could conquer the Royal City if they wished—was creeping stealthily on a rooftop, observing a house across the street.

Zog judged that this place was probably a step up from the slums, but not by much.

It was ten o’clock at night, a crucial point in the live broadcast of the show’s finale. Anyone who owned a Magic Vision Device would surely have it on.

Yet all the windows in the vicinity were dark. There was no late-night Magic Vision entertainment happening here.

They most likely couldn’t afford one.

The houses looked dilapidated, too.

"Are you sure they’re in this dump?" Zog asked uncertainly.

This looked rather pathetic, a stark contrast to the Church, which spent money like water.

"Positive. That’s the house. At least, that’s what the tracker shows," Doudou answered. "Look, every curtain is drawn. They must be up to some shady business."

"This is a bit tricky."

"What’s tricky about it? Just bust in there," Doudou said. "If they were strong enough to beat you, they wouldn’t need to hijack the signal. They’d just force you to broadcast whatever they wanted."

"I can’t cause a huge scene."

Zog had expected to find them out in the wilderness—a dark cave, a sinister castle, or a dangerous Dungeon.

But here they were, in a residential district of the Royal City.

There were too many potential witnesses. They couldn’t risk being seen here, or the Church might find out.

"Furin, are you confident you can put everyone in there under an Illusion Technique?"
