Chapter 63: Chapter 63 - rage bait

I looked at the mirror and took a deep breath, and after washing I immediately changed into my normal clothes.

Then I came out from the room and saw Nyx staying. As soon as she saw me she went to the washroom after giving me a nod, but I saw her ear tips are red. That’s a good thing because it means she is embarrassed, not angry at me for the sudden action. So I went to bed and hugged a pillow. Today I’m not sleeping alone.

Just fuck the gentleman bullshit of sleeping on the sofa and floor. I’m no gentleman. I cling to her like an octopus.

Just the thought is accelerating.

I just lay on the bed daydreaming while Nyx already washed and came out. I didn’t notice until she threw an apple at me. I caught it by instinct.

And looked at her who changed into comfy clothes.

Then I blinked. "Huh? When did you get here?"

She looked at me and smirked. "When you were daydreaming."

I nodded. "I can’t deny that. This is a moment of peace..."

As soon as I said the words some bastard blasted an explosion nearby and heavy battle sounds could be heard.

My whole face twitched as people’s screams I heard. "I got my slime sword."

"You motherfuckers. You can’t come tomorrow or yesterday. You have to come today. I will slaughter you."

Nyx watched my face go from a dreamy expression to turn into an absolute demonic face and scream out.

And another explosion appeared and we got our room destroyed. I looked at it with tears in my eyes. Ahhh nooooo. Why is this world so jealous of me having one romantic moment?

Then all of the emotions I had turned into pure rage.

I clutched my sword tightly and space around me wavered as I gripped it, my space affinity working.

Nyx stands there in the middle of the rubble looking at me. She didn’t summon her sword yet. This is too comical to watch.

She watches me grab my sword and even the space itself wave a little with amusement.

In the next second I disappeared and found out the bastard who destroyed my moment. It’s a flying demon. My eyes darkened. "You fucking piece of shit. I will kill you."

I teleported there with no hesitation. I threw a sword attack imbued with space and cut off the wings of the demon.

I used space to go up and used it again to go down and looked at the dropping demon. An evil smile appeared as I took my sword and used darkness on it—not normal darkness, the darkness demons use, that kind that riots you.

I raised my sword and stabbed at the demon as the demon screamed.

As I stabbed the sword I used space to push his organs.

The demon screamed in agony. I don’t care about other demons who attack the city. I have a problem with this bastard. How long did I wait for a moment like this, and now this fucker comes and destroys it? You won’t get an easy death. I’ll let you suffer.

The demon looked at me with its horns and said in a language, but for some unknown reason I can understand that it says, "You defeated me. Kill me already."

My eyes twitched. "Kill you... are you dreaming, you bastard? You ruined one of the best moments in my life. I just want to sleep while holding her for one night. Is it too much to ask, universe?"

"You fucker. Pay for that."

The demon blinks and tries to understand me. He can understand my words, but when they are put together it’s nonsense to him.

I didn’t wait until his confusion was over and I grabbed the bastard, but before doing anything another demon came at me.

I made a slime sword in my other hand and used darkflame aura in it and threw a strike at that other demon.

It got cut in half.

And then I noticed no killing notification appeared. I blinked and looked at the demon who was sliced in two. It’s dead, no doubt about it, but no killing notification appears.

I just ignored it and looked at the demon, and the demon felt dread from my gaze.

And a hand placed on my shoulder. "Hey, you over there."

She is laughing.

I glared at her. "No. This bastard ruined everything. My peaceful sleep."

Then flame appeared from the demon’s body and began to burn. It screamed until it turned into a bunch of ash.

And then I got a message.

[Congratulations. You have killed a Bronze 1 demon.]

[You have gained 0.1 bronze power.]

I looked at that. My eyes twitched. What is it?

And why didn’t the previous guy’s message come? Is this thing broken or something?

Then Nyx said, "Demons attack the city and people are running for their lives, so how about we leave too?"

I nodded with a defeated expression.

She asked, "Why are you still sulking?"

"My sleep... my perfect sleep. How about we slaughter all the demons in here?"

She just sighed at that and came closer and tried to kiss me on the cheek, but I refused and grabbed her from her waist and pulled her to my side, then kissed her.

Her eyes widened and soon she let it happen.

Humph. Those bastards took my perfect sleep, but I got my kiss.

I felt the kiss and deepened it and finally broke free.

"Hmm. That’s...."

"Was amazing. I want more..."

She, with flushed cheeks, pushed me away. "You scoundrel."

And another demon appeared, and flustered Nyx just used black lightning to instantly kill it down.

"Only the ash remained."

After that no demon came toward us. They seem to be afraid of us.

Nyx glared at me, but inside she is liking it and savoring the kiss until it lasted, but she can’t admit it. It’s so embarrassing.

So she looked at me and said, "Okay. Let’s move out from this village. Any more words from your mouth and I will blast lightning at you."

I looked at her, amused, and nodded.

Then we both left the village. I used space, but I only can use it short distance. Nyx used lightning as we moved out from the village. It’s getting destroyed little by little by demons, but we don’t care.

We aren’t heroes. We are survivors.

Then we traveled like this for a while and finally saw a path to higher ground.

So we followed it. It’s like climbing a mountain. I followed her while asking for another kiss.

She just ignored me. Now I’m in a good mood after getting my kiss.

I followed her as we saw an elf squad surrounding a human-form dragon girl.

To say the truth she is beautiful as hell, but I have to stay loyal to my Nyx.

So I looked away and walked away with Nyx.

But the elves saw us. One of them shot an arrow at me.

A black line appeared on my head as we peacefully walked away. Those ungrateful bastards shot an arrow at me.

I looked in the direction. As I didn’t even waste my energy on avoiding the arrow, I just used teleport to the side of the elf and plunged a sword into its head and killed it in one blow.

I didn’t get a notification this time either.

I wonder why.

The other elves’ eyes widened as I killed one of them in seconds.

They looked at me with killing intent and shot arrows at me.

Nyx used darkness and ice to make bullets and used them by coating them with lightning.

They directly came and hit most of them. They are not that strong a group. They die like flies.

I didn’t step in because it’s none of our business, and the dragon lady didn’t ask for any help either.

Then those foolish elves who shot arrows at me served them right.

And only two of them remained.

They looked at me and asked, "Why did you kill us?"

I blinked. Is this bitch serious?

I said, "Your group is the first to attack us, so don’t try to blame us."

The elf girl is beautiful as well, but brainless.

I just made a dagger out of slime and threw it at her and killed her in one blow. "Fuck that shit."

The other elf’s eyes widened, but before anything could be said Nyx took care of her.

We looked at the dragon girl. She looked at us back.
