The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 233: Fated Enemy
Bertram and Maxwell stood on both sides of the two old men, listening and immediately knowing what they were talking about. The two men looked at each other, somewhat disbelieving.
Bertram leaned down and whispered to Solomon:
"Master, that thing is the ancestral heirloom passed down, is it really okay if we give it to them?"
Old man Solomon glared at his disciple, "I said it’s okay so it’s okay! Look at these knowledges of theirs, what else is equivalent?! Let alone me, even if our ancestors rose from their graves they would definitely offer it with both hands to them!"
His Master had spoken, Bertram did not dare to voice opposition anymore. Actually they could not use that thing either, if exchanging for such precious knowledge then Bertram also felt it was extremely worthwhile.
Solomon waved his hand, "Just decide it like that. Hey old Valmot, don’t dawdle anymore, quickly lead us to your tribe’s spatial array, I need to see the extent of damage first before I can decide the subsequent matters."
Valmot nodded, leading them to the Golden Bull clan’s forbidden area.
The Golden Bull clan forbidden area compared to the Black Bear clan was much more imposing, at least Kaelen could still see some types of spiritual herbs growing scattered on the ground. Finnick looked at the spiritual herbs with greedy eyes, his throat unconsciously gulping twice. Chloe knocked her master’s head:
"Have some ambition, these plants have no effect on you now. It is better to leave them there to grow for a while longer, maybe a thousand years later they can become Spirits."
Old man Solomon curiously looked at Chloe and Nova perching on Finnick’s and Edward’s heads, unable to hold back asking:
"I have been wanting to ask since earlier, what are those two things on your two brats’ heads?"
Kaelen pointed at Nova and Chloe, saying: "That transparent one is named Nova, is the contracted Spatial Spirit of Edward and Ryder, while this red brat is the Wood Spirit contracted with Finnick. They are Spirits born from heaven and earth’s spiritual energy, not Magical plants or magical beasts as everyone mistakenly thinks."
With the two old Sages, Kaelen hid nothing, recounting the entire miraculous experience of the children. Old man Solomon nodded sighing, then regretfully: "The Beastman continent has been separated from the Great World, I fear it is impossible for these two brats to become Elves."
Nova and Chloe both instantly became dejected. Finnick seeing that hurriedly spoke up to comfort: "It’s okay, I will definitely cultivate to the God level so Chloe can also enjoy the benefit of immortality. Like that no need to become an Elf, she will also become the strongest existence on the continent!"
Chloe snorted, "With your lazy temper, whether you reach the Saint level or not is not even sure."
Finnick immediately retorted, "Impossible, I am only half a year old now and already reached level five, I will definitely reach the God level before twenty years old."
Chloe swung a tentacle smacking Finnick’s chubby cheek, "Wake up for me my beloved master, you reaching level five entirely relied on piggybacking on your Papa’s halo. Relying on yourself before twenty years old you will only barely reach level eight!"
Finnick was extremely unconvinced, putting his hands on his hips swearing to show Chloe how formidable he is. Chloe snorted, not bothering to argue with a child. Old man Solomon however discovered a new horizon from the children’s conversation. Valmot looked at his thoughtful expression, patted his old friend’s shoulder, and said profoundly:
"There are still many things we do not know, perhaps we should consider going out now my old friend."
Solomon sighed, "If only these kids came a few hundred years earlier it would be good, how much time do our two old bones have left now."
"One hundred years is enough old friend." Valmot looked far away, "The remaining time, let the young generation walk in our stead."
Amidst Finnick and Chloe’s arguing sounds along with the two old men’s trivial confidences, everyone quickly arrived at the spatial array’s location. This place was a very large stone platform, having three stairs leading up. The array above was thoughtfully protected, even having very new maintenance traces, therefore until now it was still perfect without a single chip.
Solomon slowly stepped up, looked around once, nodding in satisfaction:
"Old friend, you took quite good care of it. Thirty years and still this clear."
Valmot nodded, "Every time I maintain it I lie paralyzed for several days, I am afraid my old bones cannot bear it and go before you, at that time who do I find to continue maintaining it."
Solomon rolled his eyes glaring at him once, pointing at Bertram, "This brat Bertram has also learned almost all my skills, whenever I kick the bucket he will replace me."
He stepped forward observing more carefully, then frowned, "Well, the anchor point on that side has three main axis lines broken, wanting to fix it is a bit troublesome."
Edward asked nervously, "Sage, can it be fixed?"
Old man Solomon nodded, "Of course it can be fixed. Three lines broken but six lines remain, just restoring those three broken lines is done. However I still have to research further, avoiding when using it halfway it breaks again."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, a bit of hope rising in their hearts.
Solomon turned to say to Valmot, "Old man, tell the kids to build me a resting place right next to here, saving me the effort of walking back and forth, wastes a lot of time."
Valmot nodded signaling Maxwell, Maxwell and Bertram immediately got to work chopping wood to build a house. Sane was also not idle, rolled up his sleeves to help them. Finnick had set his eyes on an extremely large ancient tree, its branches exceedingly thick and strong. The boy and Chloe worked together to build a treehouse themselves.
Kaelen also lent them a hand, avoiding these two brats building nonsensically then getting both people and house blown away by the wind.
Edward then stayed back beside the two Sages, researching the Spatial array together. Nova was a Spatial Spirit, no one was more proficient in the operation method of space than her, this helped old Sage Solomon a lot.
The sky gradually darkened, the wooden house was also built, but the anti-termite paint smell was still very strong, everyone decided to set up tents temporarily for two days. Kaelen cooked a pot of chicken porridge for the two old men and a pot of rice for the young people.
The main dishes were chicken braised with potatoes, broccoli stir-fried with smoked pork, and wax gourd bone soup. Dessert was watermelon from Ryder’s space.
After everyone finished eating and drinking, Maxwell asked for permission to return to handle matters in the tribe first, also leading everyone away, only leaving Bertram, the two Sages, and Sane’s family behind. They discussed with each other until late night before regretfully going to sleep.
Three days later when they were sketching the anchor shape on the ground, Aaron brought intelligence back. Sane went out to meet him, when returning his complexion was not very good.
"What is wrong? Did something happen?" Kaelen looked up and asked.
Sane sat down beside him, saying in a deep voice:
"That is right, Aaron’s intelligence relates to the Martial God Shrine’s Divine Attendant group. Ten days ago, this Divine Attendant group secretly welcomed a group of people coming from the Northern continent through the anchor at forbidden area number six belonging to the Martial God Shrine. He had people investigate, narrowing down the people with physical features different from Eastern continent people. Guess who our Warriors saw?"
"Who?" Kaelen asked curiously.
"Rylan!"
"Who?" Kaelen was slightly stunned, seemingly trying to recall who Rylan was... His memory suddenly stopped at an extremely beautiful Gray Wolf clan Sub-Beast whose gaze was sharp and malicious, shuddering slightly. He exclaimed in shock, "Is that Rylan in Obsidian?"
Sane nodded heavily, "Beside him there are also six beastmen, among them is a Lion clan beastman whose strength has reached the Saint Beast level. The remaining people are already Demigods."
Kaelen’s complexion darkened. If it were before, Kaelen would not think too much, but now knowing more secrets, he felt a cold chill down his spine. Not only Rylan previously always targeted him, even almost killed him, but he himself every time meeting Rylan felt extremely irritated.
Perhaps this is the telepathy between fated enemies?
