The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend

Chapter 1058 - Intensifying Battle

  • Next Chapter

Han Wu selected Dark Locust and used the Subcosm unit summoning ticket.

Every invading creature cowered in fear as its pressure descended. Its aura had become incomparably stronger after ascending as the Dark God King.

Han Wu checked Dark Locust’s stats.

[Dark Locust: Subcosm life form. Attack method: Shadow Nail Rain (multi-target). Range: 20,000. Damage: 20,000. Attack interval: 0.01 seconds.]

[Skill 1: Power of the Dark Jurisdiction. Creatures killed by Shadow Nail Rain will be turned into Dark Undead Puppets under Dark Locust’s control.]

[Skill 2: Clone Summon. Summons stored Dark Clones with 50% of the original’s stats to assist in combat.]

[Skill 3: Dark Self Detonation. Releases a powerful dark-attribute explosion dealing one hundred times the normal damage. All creatures killed in the blast will be turned into Dark Undead Puppets under Dark Locust’s control. Dark Locust will regenerate ten seconds after detonating.]

These stats were no joke. Dark Locust’s power was on par with the Mythic Titan. The only difference was that the Mythic Titan’s Void Jurisdiction was far more devastating than the Dark Jurisdiction.

Han Wu positioned Dark Locust beside himself, where it immediately activated Clone Summon. It had been stockpiling energy and condensing Dark Clones through the Dark Jurisdiction for some time, and this was the perfect moment to deploy them.

Over a hundred Dark Clones, all smaller than the original, materialized around Han Wu. Each one had 50% of Dark Locust’s stats and could also use Dark Self Detonation, though they wouldn’t regenerate afterward. They were one-time explosives.

Their basic attack, Shadow Nail Rain, maintained its effect as well. Any creature killed would be turned into Dark Undead Puppets.

Over a hundred Dark Clones, plus Dark Locust itself, unleashed Shadow Nail Rain at the incoming invaders. Creatures fell in droves and turned into puppets under Dark Locust’s command.

These puppets attacked the Elemental Spirits and Chaos Spirits. The Dark Energy clinging to the puppets allowed them to deal some damage to the pure elemental entities and temporarily slow their advance. ℯℯ𝑙.

Han Wu used this chance to use Replicate on the Mythic Titan. His two Subcosm fighters simply weren’t enough against an army of Subcosm Elemental Spirits and Chaos Spirits. If he wanted to win, he would have to increase the number of Subcosm units on his side.

Soon, Han Wu’s four avatars transformed into four Mythic Titans through Replicate, each wielding the power of the Void Jurisdiction.

As a battle-hardened Major God, Han Wu’s combat instincts far surpassed the fresh-faced Mythic Titan. His four avatars fought with greater ferocity and precision than the original Mythic Titan itself.

They worked in perfect unison, unleashing devastating Void Energy that countered the elemental energy and Chaos Energy, slaughtering Subcosm Elemental Spirits one after another.

The Wandering Sorcerers responsible for the summons felt the pressure mount like a boulder on their shoulders. They had planned to overwhelm and crush Han Wu with an army of Subcosm spirits, never expecting that their summoning rate would end up falling behind Han Wu’s killing speed.

Spirit after spirit fell to the Void Jurisdiction, and there was nothing the Wandering Sorcerers could do to stop it.

When Di Bin received this intelligence, he was stunned. He had meticulously calculated everything and devised this plan specifically because Han Wu’s powers were sealed inside that civilization.

He never imagined Han Wu could still unleash this kind of strength under such harsh restrictions. Not only was Han Wu surviving, but he was actually massacring the spirits Di Bin had sent.

As much as he wanted to admit that he didn’t care about the spirits, they were still the Chaos Clan property. It would be hard to explain this level of wastage to the clan.

“No. I can’t abandon this operation. I’ve invested too much effort, resources, and subordinates to give up. I won’t be satisfied until Han Wu’s dead!” Di Bin growled.

This was the final stretch. He couldn’t let Han Wu survive.

Contacting the Wandering Sorcerers through the special channel once again, he ordered them to perform a combined summoning. He still had a Mesocosm Chaos Spirit up his sleeve.

The Wandering Sorcerers had less than a day to live anyway, so they accepted without hesitation. They mustered their last reserves, joined forces, and cast the summoning spell.

An exceedingly violent aura erupted from the summoning array.

Han Wu could feel its immense power even from a distance. It was the kind of pressure that only three or more Elemental Jurisdictions could produce when combined.

His four avatars locked onto the source. A towering Chaos Spirit had appeared. Earth, Fire, and Wind Jurisdiction powers orbited it, gradually fusing into devastating Chaos Energy before being unleashed.

Dozens of Dark Clones and hundreds of powerful units at the front lines of Han Wu’s formation were annihilated in an instant. Han Wu suffered massive losses.

His four avatars immediately attacked the Chaos Spirit. Four blasts of his Void Jurisdiction powers struck it simultaneously.

The Void Energy formed a massive negative energy vortex on the Chaos Spirit’s body, draining enormous amounts of energy before dissipating. Unfortunately, its effect was negligible to the Mesocosm Chaos Spirit.

Channeling its three Elemental Jurisdictions, it continued to bombard Han Wu’s units with devastating force. Each hit killed swathes of them. If this continued, Han Wu would run out of units, and the Chaos Spirit’s attacks would be directed toward him instead.

Worse still, the space had been sealed with Spatial Lockdown, which prevented anything or anyone from escaping.

Han Wu’s four avatars and two powerful units only equated to six Subcosm fighters. The gap between them and a Mesocosm Chaos Spirit was enormous.

While Han Wu’s main body wouldn’t die, even if all his avatars were destroyed, it would still suffer catastrophic damage.

The four avatars exchanged glances. Dragging this out would only lead to death. Rather than sitting and waiting for the end, they decided to take a gamble.

Under the restrictions of this civilization’s Will, Han Wu only had one option left: Merge. He would merge his four avatars, in their Mythic Titan forms, into a single entity. This wasn’t the usual avatar recall. It was a true Merge.

Once completed, only the Merge avatar would remain. The other three avatars would enter a state equivalent to death, and their three abilities would be rendered unusable.

Thankfully, this “death” wasn’t permanent. Given enough time, Han Wu could restore all three abilities. This was his only path forward in this crisis.
