The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend
Chapter 1032 - Time Particles
In humanoid form, the Everchange Manifestation looked exactly like Han Wu, although its demeanor was somewhat stiff. Beyond wielding the Everchange Jurisdiction and possessing the ability to shapeshift into countless life forms, it had one ultimate technique. It could transform into a Terminal Turret.
In Terminal Turret form, the Everchange Manifestation couldn’t move, but it could continuously produce units. It could replicate any unit it had previously copied as a soldier of equivalent strength without Jurisdictions, Microcosms, or Divine Rings. The higher the life form’s rank, the longer each soldier took to produce.
After learning this, Han Wu had it copy the Mythic Titan template. Producing one Subcosm Mythic Titan soldier required a hundred days, equivalent to a hundred years inside the divine realm. That sounded like an eternity, but it was extremely fast. A hundred years for a single Subcosm fighter was enough to make any other faction turn green with envy.
Han Wu set the Everchange Manifestation to Terminal Turret form and left it to manufacture Mythic Titan soldiers. He then continued using Life Infusion to accelerate his core race units. Units raised that way were slightly weaker in actual combat than those who had grown through their own efforts, but future training could close that gap. Overall, it was an effective way to increase his units’ strength.
Under his relentless cultivation, the number of Subcosm fighters in his divine realm climbed to eight, and there were more than ten World fighters.
Three of the new Subcosm fighters were Mythic Titans. Once they took shape, Han Wu handed them over to Kokkai Hanwu for training, with strict orders to master all nine Giant Transformations as soon as possible.
Days passed quietly in this cycle of cultivation. Then, one day, a call request popped up.
Han Wu checked the caller and was surprised to find it was the Commerce God King, whom he hadn’t heard from in quite some time.
After the divine war between the Wisdom and Slaughter Factions, the Commerce God King had caught the Wealth God King’s eye and joined the Wealth Faction. He spent most of his time in foreign civilizations, raking in money. Why was he calling now?
Han Wu answered quizzically.
Commerce’s familiar, friendly voice came through. “Boss Han, how’ve you been?”
“Not bad. How about you, Boss Li?” Han Wu shot back.
Commerce chuckled awkwardly and exchanged a few hollow pleasantries before cutting to the chase. “Han Wu, we picked up something special out in a foreign civilization. You can’t find it anywhere on the Divine Civilization’s market. Want to come take a look?”
Han Wu’s curiosity was piqued. “That mysterious? You can’t even tell me over the call?”
The Divine Civilization’s market was enormous, serving billions of denizens and their countless units. A market capable of satisfying so many customers was a monster in its own right, so finding something completely unavailable there was extraordinary.
Han Wu was now eager to see what would make even Commerce so interested in it. “Wait for me. I’m on my way.”
Han Wu ended the call and teleported through several gates to Commerce’s location, the Mirage Bar.
The bar’s owner, the Banquet God King, had previously instructed the doormen to let Han Wu through without inspection. He walked straight in and found Commerce chatting happily with other patrons.
Commerce booked a private room and got down to business. He pulled a safe from his divine realm and opened it carefully. Inside sat a small crystal vial containing four glowing particles.
Han Wu checked them against every database he could access, including the Wisdom Faction’s classified archives, before the answer hit him.
“Time Particles!” Han Wu blurted out.
Those were treasures on par with Microcosm-rank weapons. Each tiny grain, barely the size of a rice kernel, could manipulate the flow of time itself.
Take the denizens of the Divine Civilization, for example. Everyone’s divine realm experienced time at a faster rate compared to the outside world, with a standard ratio of 365 to one. One year inside a divine realm equaled one day outside.
Time Particles could adjust that ratio. A single Time Particle could add another day, pushing it to 366 to one. The more particles invested, the faster time moved inside the realm and the more time its units had to grow. Time Particles were so priceless that even God Kings would fight over them.
Commerce said, “I didn’t expect you’d recognize them. These are indeed Time Particles. If you place them in your divine realm, you can accelerate its time flow even further. The more you put, the faster time flows in your divine realm. Given your massive locust population, every extra day in your realm means an extra day’s worth of Faith Points. It’s a steal!”
Naturally, Han Wu understood what Commerce was getting at, and he was very interested in them too.
“Name your price,” Han Wu said.
Commerce held up three fingers.
Han Wu feigned surprise. “Three Divine Essence? You’re too kind.”
“Three Microcosms!” Commerce corrected. “Three Microcosms per particle. You won’t find a better deal.”
“Using Microcosms as currency. Only the Wealth Faction could pull that off,” Han Wu remarked. “I’ll take all of them. Wrap them up.”
