Ethan stood there while the darkness on the other side rearranged itself into a shape he already knew too well — the same size, the same aura, even the breathing parttern was familiar.

```
[You have encountered: Wolf Alpha]
[Classification: Devil]
[Rank: B]
[Time Remaining: 32:09]
```

The Wolf Alpha stepped into the blue veined light on four limbs first, then rose as if trying to intimidate him...

Black and white fur, dried blood that was not its own, and crimson eyes finding the single living thing in the room and immediately marking it as prey.

Thirty two minutes.... That was the only thing separating him and MCA hunters. And he needed this thing dead by then as well.

A nervous smile formed on his face. It was just him, his legion, and a devil that had taught him what running out of Death Energy felt like.

The crawlers... that was the first thing that came to mind.

Just as he was about to summon it, he paused.

’No.’

He needed to end this fight as soon as possible, so for that, the crawlers were most ideal for a quick finish from the inside.

However, it wasn’t that simple. In order for the crawlers to be able to do their job, they needed to be inside the devil. And for that, he needed at least one open wound on the beast.

It was easier said that done...

He had learned first hand how thick the hide of the alpha was. Where even a shallow cut would work against any lower ranked beast, it would not be the same here. D rank mandibles would take forever to completely bite through while the beast removed his head.

Putting all these into consideration, use the crawlers were only a waste of time and energy.

And there was no way he was going to fight this thing himself.

He reached inside his shadow and pulled out the next best option. "Cyclops."

.

The Cyclops hauled itself out of his shadow with a grunt and positioned itself behind him.

The green light in its eyes brightened as the connection fully settled and Ethan took one look at the alpha before giving a command.

"Attack."

The Alpha moved at a speed that broke the ground behind it as it charged towards the cyclops.

It crossed the floor in a blur and the Cyclops met it with a collision that shook the entire chamber.

Ethan moved back and steadied himself. "Watch out for the claws."

The moment he said this, the alpha swung, aiming to tear through flesh.

The cyclops moved out of the way and shoulderd the alpha.

The alpha grunted, and delivered a punch that forced the golem back.

It tried to follow up with a kick and the golem caught it, and forced the alpha into the air.

The golem followed after it and began raining down punches on it. Annoyed, the alpha caught a punch, twisted it backwards and delivered a bone shattering headbutt that made Ethan clench his jaw.

’Damn. I felt that...’

"Disengage," he ordered, "look for openings."

The cyclops obeyed, stepping back and circling the Alpha slowly as its eyes moved from every limb and when it did, the alpha followed, turning steadily with it.

Ethan clicked his tongue. It was rather intelligent.

The alpha blitzed forward and delivered a knee to the cyclops twice before pulling back.

It circled again and ran a claw across its back before ramming it into the wall.

"Above you!"

The cyclops managed to roll out of the way just in time for the alpha to crush the ground where it lay.

It didn’t wait...

The alpha rushed towards the cyclops almost immediately and rammed into it before it could fully stand.

The cyclops kicked it away and tried to follow up, but the alpha darted behind it and slammed it on the ground.

The Alpha spent the next serveral minutes dominating the fight as it started moving faster than the cyclops could react.

Ethan ran a hand through his hair. Was this the cyclops he struggled against?

There was no way that was true because the same beast that pulverised him was the same beast that was getting folded by a monster of its own rank.

"Alright. I need another approach."

He reached into his shadow again and summoned the raven.

The bird soared upwards and stretched its wings as it hovered above him.

Ethan started calculating...

The Alpha moved faster than his cyclops so logically speaking, an attack to the joints would be most ideal.

However, the Alpha had thick skin so there wasn’t a guarantee that an attack like that would have much effect.

He thought for a few more moments before he finally made up his mind on something...

"Assist the cyclops. Keep it distracted long enough for the cyclops to properly deal with it. Keep at it till I think of something..."

The bird dove.

It came in low in a whistle and struck, but the alpha blocked in time— bringing a hand up to deflect the blow.

However, that was the opening the cyclops needed. It rushed forward and delivered an uppercut that sent it staggering.

When the alpha turned to it, the raven dove again, slamming itself in the base of its neck.

"Watch the claws."

The raven veered sideways and the claws raked across empty air.

The cyclops once again used the opening to kick the beast across its chest.

The raven didn’t let up. It dove again and swiped a talon across its face destroying one eye in the process.

The alpha roared in pain and swatted the bird sending it skidding across the floor.

When it removed a hand from its face, the right eye had claw marks with blood pooling from it.

Ethan adjusted immediately.

"It’s half blind. Focus on the right."

The cyclops moved too the right and started pounding its side relentlessly.

Whenever the cyclops tried to move, the golem would move as well making sure to remain on the right side.

The Alpha began swatting callously, swinging both hands in every direction. It didn’t look smart but it made it harder for the golem to close in.

Ethan clicked his tongue and turned to the raven.

"Again. Aim for the other side."

The bird moved, but when it was about to reach, a claw caught it across its side. The bird fell, bounced and crashed into the wall.

"Tch. Cyclops!"

The beast rushed into range, tanked a hit to the neck and tackled the alpha to the ground, keeping it pinned.

"Now!"

He forced the raven back into the air, and the bird dove towards the other side.

**SQUELCH**

The beast roared louder, convulsing wildly in pain before vaulting the cyclops off of it.

The Alpha slowly brought itself to a crouch, gripping it’s face as blood fell into a small puddle below it.

"Now!"

The cyclops dashed towards it as the beast turned around helplessly trying to pinpoint the location for the attack.

**BIFF**

The cyclops launched itself forward, dropkicking the alpha into the wall.

The beast ran out blindly towards the cyclops but it reacted fast, circling around it as it hooked both hands around its neck and pulled it over its back in an attempt to choke the beast.

The Alpha choked and gasped for air as it tried to use its claws to rake it’s way free.

However the cyclops refused to let go. Instead it only increased its gripped and pulled harder, rasing the beast’s legs off the floor.

Soon, it started foaming in the mouth and its movement grew erratic. The cyclops held, putting its slender but powerful hands to use as it slowly but surely cut off its air supplies.

After a while, the alpha’s movements slowed until it’s hands fell uselessly at its sides.

Ethan commaned the cyclops to hold a while longer just to be sure before finally releasing the command.

The alpha fell lifeless on the floor and Ethan let out a breath as he approached the beast.

He stared at the monster for a few moments before the system pinged bright green.
