The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 54: potion
He changed into his human form once Cassian and Liliana had gone far enough away.
"Liliana... Liliana Draven," he said with a thin smile. A sharp glint appeared in his charming eyes.
"You possess a rare wolf power and tried to hide it by pretending to be a Wolf-less? Cassian, your eyes are far sharper than they should be."
He turned around, then shifted back into a wolf before hurrying off in another direction, leaving the location and heading toward where his pack members were.
He had come only because he heard such a loud noise. He thought he would see chaos. Who would have guessed that instead he would learn something far more special about his future Luna.
When they had almost reached the place where they had rested earlier, Cassian’s steps stopped. "Change into your human form."
Liliana looked at him and then shifted according to Cassian’s wish.
"Belang, carry that snake meat," Cassian ordered. "You also need to train your fangs. I’ll give you the snake’s head this time as your breakfast," Cassian said, as if what he was doing was something the striped tiger ought to be grateful for.
The striped tiger growled lowly, but did not dare refuse the order.
It immediately took the rope from Liliana’s hand and bit it firmly.
"Then? What about me?" Liliana asked.
"Climb onto my back. They will grow suspicious if they see your body has fully recovered," Cassian ordered.
"Don’t worry," Cassian said. "You’ll be able to move freely tomorrow morning. I only need to explain that you used Mother’s newest medicine."
Liliana looked at Cassian’s black wolf form, then nodded and climbed onto his back.
"Watch your expression. You must keep pretending to be holding back the pain," he added.
"Mm," Liliana answered.
She lay her body on top of Cassian’s wolf form with an injured expression as they arrived in front of the Pack Draven members.
Liliana got down slowly, helped by another omega who had joined the hunt earlier and knew her condition.
"I’ll help you sit. Don’t move for now."
Liliana nodded with a pale face.
Cassian glanced at her briefly before shifting into human form and walking toward the other pack members.
The striped tiger followed Cassian with the rope still tying the meat in its mouth.
Cassian handed over the meat he carried and the striped tiger to the other members to take care of.
"Go back to Liliana’s side," Cassian said after seeing Vera, the elder’s daughter, keep watching Liliana with gloomy eyes.
"Err..." the striped tiger answered and immediately returned to Liliana’s side.
"How about the task I asked for?" Cassian asked Mano and Gio, the Beta’s sons in front of him.
"Completed perfectly, Young Master Alpha," both answered in unison.
Cassian walked behind them and checked the items that his Alpha members had searched for.
"Gather the members who are idle. We will make a potion that can hide our wolf scent from the wild beasts in this secret realm,"
"Yes, Young Master Alpha," Gio answered and immediately moved to gather the idle pack members.
Once all the members without work had gathered, Cassian began explaining how to make the potion based on Mega’s recipe.
All the pack members followed Cassian’s instructions, using the three ingredients they had collected earlier to make the potion Cassian meant.
After half an hour had passed, Cassian nodded in satisfaction at the result.
He sniffed its aroma for a moment, making sure it matched the scent Mega had once taught him.
Although he did not know how to distinguish Olive’s medicine, he could definitely distinguish potions of this kind.
"Distribute this to all pack members," Cassian ordered.
"Tell them to sprinkle it on their bodies before we leave later."
"Understood, Young Master Alpha," answered the pack members who had made the potion.
Cassian walked over to Liliana and gave her a bottle of the potion. Liliana accepted it while looking up at him.
"Am I still not allowed to change into my wolf form?"
Cassian shook his head. "Something like this cannot be done suddenly. You may use your wolf form when you leave this secret realm. I’ll help explain this matter to the dean so you won’t be considered a fraud."
Liliana nodded in reply.
"The food is ready," said the pack member in charge of preparing the snake meat earlier.
Cassian turned toward the voice and then helped Liliana stand. "Keep acting well, understand?"
"Alright," Liliana answered. She walked following Cassian and placed her arm on the man’s shoulder so she would appear truly weak and injured.
The two of them sat in the same place as yesterday. In front of them, the perfectly cooked snake meat looked so appetizing that anyone who saw it would drool.
"Eat quickly, we’ll continue the journey soon," Cassian ordered.
"Yes, Young Master Alpha," everyone answered in unison, then began enjoying the dish.
Liliana also ate, chewing the meat slowly. Her eyes sparkled as she swallowed the first bite.
Soft... so soft. Completely different from the snake meat I once tasted in our original place, she thought.
Everyone felt the same and smiled at the first bite before putting more meat into their mouths.
Cassian glanced at Liliana for a moment, but said nothing and began calmly enjoying the dish in front of him.
The striped tiger received the snake’s head as Cassian had ordered earlier.
It looked at the wolf pack at the dining table with envy, but did not dare complain. They were a wolf pack, while it was only a tiger. A tiger.
"Alright," Cassian said when the food in front of him was completely gone. "Pack up, everyone. We continue the journey now." His order left no room for them to ask or refuse.
They obeyed Cassian and cleaned up every trace of their presence until it no longer looked as if they had spent the night there. Liliana climbed back onto the back of the striped tiger that walked beside Cassian’s wolf.
Cassian howled long and loud, followed by all his pack members, then stepped quickly deeper into the forest.
Vera, who was an ordinary gray wolf, strode quickly, pushing through the ranks so she could be beside Liliana. No one stopped or blocked her.
Cassian paid her no attention at all. He focused on the path ahead while concentrating his instincts on the surroundings.
Once she arrived beside Liliana, Vera’s eyes flashed as she saw the girl lying on the tiger’s body while gripping its fur for support.
"Liliana... I’ve already told you, don’t try to seduce Cassian again," she said softly with a sharp gaze.
