The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas
Chapter 53: This is one of your physical exercises
Liliana nodded. She ran forward in her human form, then leaped high and landed directly on the head of the snake, which was twice the size of her body.
The snake’s body immediately writhed wildly.
"Stab its right eye first," Cassian ordered as the snake’s tail wrapped around one of his pack members.
Liliana nodded again. Both of her legs tightened around the snake’s head with all her strength.
"Sorry," Liliana said as both her hands raised her dagger high.
Stab!
The dagger in her hand sank firmly into the green snake’s eye.
"Sssss..." the snake hissed even louder.
Liliana frowned. She applied more force to her dagger until the hilt was no longer visible.
The snake beneath Liliana’s body began struggling again after feeling the deep pain in its right eye. It quickly released its tail from the body of one of the Pack Draven members and whipped it rapidly.
Liliana’s body swayed violently as the snake began moving its tail toward its own head.
"Ugh..." Liliana groaned.
Both of her hands, which had been holding the dagger in the snake’s right eye, immediately slipped away. She pulled another dagger from her bag and aimed it at the snake’s left eye.
"Ssss..." the snake hissed longer when Liliana showed no intention of getting off its head.
It tried to move its body quickly again, rushing away from the place.
Liliana’s body almost fell again as the snake moved to evade them.
Cassian narrowed his eyes when the snake’s focus was now entirely on Liliana and it tried to escape from them.
"The others! Attack its lower body!" Cassian ordered with a loud howl.
All the pack members quickly nodded and followed Cassian’s order.
They worked together, trying to bite the snake with their sharp teeth to restrain its increasingly wild movements.
Slash!
Liliana’s dagger finally managed to tear through the snake’s left eye.
"Sssssss..." The snake’s hiss sounded increasingly panicked. Its body moved faster and faster.
Crash!
Liliana’s body was thrown away as the snake’s panic grew stronger. Liliana’s body slammed into a tree not far from her position.
"Liliana!" Cassian shouted.
Liliana shook her head when she heard Cassian’s worried voice.
"Brother... continue quickly. Our efforts will be in vain if the snake manages to enter its nest!" Liliana shouted.
Seeing that Liliana was still able to endure, Cassian finally turned back and attacked the snake with his claws.
Slash!
His claws tore through the snake’s neck, which could no longer see.
After making sure the snake was dead, Cassian hurried toward Liliana and ordered the other pack members to take care of the snake.
Liliana had already laid down and was leaning against the Striped Tiger.
"Are you all right?" Cassian asked worriedly.
Liliana looked up at him irritably. "Brother, do you think I would be fine after my body slammed into a tree?" Liliana asked with a groan.
Cassian scratched his nose even though it did not itch.
"Is your back injured?" he asked. "I’ll order the female pack members to treat your back."
Liliana nodded. "I think so. I can’t even move my back anymore right now," she said with difficulty.
Cassian nodded, then said quietly, "Don’t use your power before your back is treated."
Liliana nodded in understanding. She knew she could not recklessly use her power for now.
An Omega immediately came after receiving Cassian’s order to help treat Liliana’s back injury.
"Miss Liliana," the Omega greeted.
Liliana looked up at her for a moment. "Sorry for troubling you," she said.
The Omega smiled, then nodded and quickly lowered her head, trying to shield Liliana from the men behind her.
Liliana’s clothes were slowly removed by the Omega as Liliana lay on her stomach.
Bluish-purple marks were clearly visible across her pale back.
She opened the bottle of medicine from Cassian and quickly applied it.
"Shh..." Liliana winced when the medicine touched her back.
"Please endure it for a moment. It won’t take long. The bruising on your back is quite severe. You may not be able to move properly for the next few days."
"Ehm..." Liliana replied.
Liliana quickly thought about how she would survive later and tomorrow morning. Should she pretend to be injured even though her wound would heal with her power later?
Liliana shook her head. It seemed she had to listen to Cassian’s orders again.
After finishing, the Omega helped Liliana put her academy uniform back on.
"Finished, Miss Liliana," the Omega said. "Get some rest. I’ll help the other pack members take care of the snake’s body."
"Ehm... thank you," Liliana said as she lay back down on the Striped Tiger.
Liliana looked at Cassian again, who was still busy cutting the snake’s body with a calm expression.
Liliana swallowed heavily. "Damn. Am I really being played by him?" Liliana asked quietly.
The Striped Tiger licked Liliana’s hair as if trying to comfort her.
"All right," Cassian said after a while. "We’ll carry these pieces of the snake one by one. Not a single one of you can shirk this responsibility," he added.
The snake in front of them, which had only recently been trying to kill them, had now been cut into twenty-three pieces, each half the size of an adult wolf’s body.
Everyone nodded and tied the pieces of snake meat after wrapping them in leaves.
They dragged them with their wolf bodies after finishing.
Cassian looked satisfied as each of his pack members moved quickly and skillfully.
"We have to hurry and leave. The smell of blood here is too strong. It will surely attract other dangers if we don’t leave immediately."
"You go ahead," Cassian ordered.
"Yes, Alpha."
A group of wolves in front of him quickly walked toward their location from the previous night, ropes in their mouths pulling the pieces of snake meat.
The sight was truly astonishing, making Liliana’s eyes sparkle slightly.
"Are you feeling better?" Cassian asked as he approached.
Liliana looked up at Cassian. "Do I still have to explain my condition again?" she asked.
A low smile appeared on Cassian’s lips.
"Heal your body quickly. You still have to carry that piece of snake meat to our previous resting place."
Liliana stared at him in disbelief. "You still want me to carry that snake carcass?" she asked.
"This is one of your physical exercises. Don’t complain and do it quickly."
Liliana could only helplessly shake her head and immediately healed the wound on her back as Cassian ordered.
Cassian turned around to handle two pieces of the snake’s body after Liliana healed her back with her own wolf healing power.
"Carry this," Cassian ordered. "You can use your wolf form. Use your fangs to carry it. You can train the sharpness of your bite attacks with this," he added as he handed her the snake rope.
Liliana looked at him again without saying a word. She shifted into a gray wolf and bit the rope Cassian had given her.
Cassian also shifted and ran behind Liliana with the same rope Liliana was holding.
The Striped Tiger followed the two of them leisurely.
None of them noticed a pair of eyes watching them from afar.
