Chapter 47: Is this really that difficult to get?

" Brother, if I lose control and do something crazy, it won’t just ruin my reputation, but also the reputation of Pack Draven," Liliana added.

Cassian grabbed both of Liliana’s arms and looked at her seriously.

"You have to trust Brother’s abilities. As long as I’m alive, I’ll make sure you’re all right."

"But, Brother—"

"Liliana..." Cassian said, cutting her off. He reached into his academic robe and took out a note.

"Aunt Mega sent me a private message. She said that if there’s something you can use to control your silver wolf’s power, then that something will only exist in the secret realm."

"You know your power is extremely unique, Liliana. There’s nothing that can help you control it except the Morovela royal family and the secret realm," he added.

Liliana swallowed hard. " Brother, if I do something foolish, can you forgive me?" she asked.

Cassian looked at Liliana’s face. " Brother will take responsibility. Whatever happens, I’ll be behind you. Understand? You’re the only one who can take the item you need. And you’re the only one who knows what you’ll need," Cassian said as he gently stroked Liliana’s head.

"Then I will." Liliana nodded confidently. "As long as you believe in me, I’ll do anything."

The image from her dream the previous night slipped into her mind.

That’s right. I have to do it. Whether that dream was real or not, at least if my power becomes stronger, I can help Pack Draven deal with the problems caused by humans, Liliana thought.

"Then get ready. Brother will ask the dean for permission so you can bring Striped Tiger as your mount tomorrow."

"Everyone at the academy, except Pack Draven and your two mates, still thinks you’re a wolfless human. I’ll tell him about this."

Liliana nodded. "I’ll listen to you, Brother."

"Good," he said.

Cassian quickly left the room after having a brief conversation with Liliana.

Liliana lay down on her bed while thinking about what she needed to do tomorrow morning. She raised both hands and stared at them for a moment. White light continued to flow from her fingers.

Although it was faint, it was enough to show an improvement compared to when she first used her power after Viktor’s magical earrings were placed on her ears.

Liliana blinked. "Wait, since when did this change? I’ve never trained my power except to use it to heal Brother, myself, and Belang."

Liliana’s hand moved again, touching the mate mark on her collarbone. Could it be? Liliana shook her head again. "Impossible. That’s ridiculous," she said, denying her own thoughts.

Liliana got up and walked toward her wardrobe. She took out a backpack and began sorting through the things she needed to bring tomorrow.

Her hands moved quickly. Cassian had said that the academy’s secret realm would open when the dean opened it and would remain closed for seven days before opening again to allow them to leave the secret realm.

That meant she would have to stay inside the secret realm for seven days.

Liliana took two changes of clothes, medicine for emergencies, her hair dye, and medicine for the wounds on her face.

Liliana looked around. Her eyes fell on the kitchen table.

She hurriedly took some cooking spices and several knives. After deciding that she had enough, Liliana sighed in relief. This should be enough.

Liliana lay back down on her bed and slowly closed her eyes.

However, not long afterward, the sound of footsteps in the hallway outside her dorm room grew noisy.

Liliana frowned. She got up and stared at her bedroom door.

The sound of people running past her bedroom grew louder.

She got up and approached the door, intending to open it and check what was happening outside.

But the image of Lucien stopping her earlier that morning entered her mind, and she finally shook her head.

Damn it. How long do I have to restrain myself and stay locked inside this room?

Liliana pressed her ear against the door and tried to listen to what was actually happening outside.

The noisy voices of students continued passing by the other side of the door. Footsteps continued to echo. Until...

Liliana pressed her ear against the door again.

The sound of footsteps suddenly stopped right in front of her door.

Liliana held her breath. Her heart pounded rapidly. She didn’t dare breathe, afraid that it might be one of the mates the Moon Goddess had destined to mark her.

Rustle...

A sheet of paper slipped into Liliana’s room through the gap beneath the door.

After that, the footsteps began moving away from her door.

Liliana lowered her head. After making sure no one was standing outside her room anymore, she dropped to the floor.

Striped Tiger approached and rubbed its head against Liliana’s arm.

Liliana wrapped her arms around Striped Tiger’s neck and hugged it. "I’m safe," she said.

Once she had calmed down, she picked up the sheet of paper that had been slipped into her room.

She read it slowly.

Information regarding the opening ceremony of the secret realm tomorrow morning.

There was nothing special about it. It was merely a brief notice about what needed to be brought and when it would take place.

Liliana frowned. "That’s all? Is it just me, or is this strange?" Liliana asked.

Do the students at this academy really respect and care about one another as members of the Alpha families?

She got up and was about to walk toward her chair when someone knocked on her door.

Liliana immediately opened it when she heard Cassian’s voice.

"What happened?" Cassian asked when he saw Liliana’s slightly pale face.

"Nothing. I’m just a little tired, Brother. Come in."

Cassian stared at her for a moment before nodding.

He took out a sheet of paper containing the departure time and the items that had to be brought when entering the secret realm tomorrow morning.

"This is for you. It’s very difficult to get this sheet. Only a few copies were posted on the academy’s event boards. So, pay close attention to what you need to bring. And don’t bring too many things," Cassian said as he handed the sheet to Liliana.

Liliana took it and read it for a moment. The contents were exactly the same as what she had just received.

She looked up at Cassian. "Is this really that difficult to get?" she asked.

"Mm." Cassian nodded.

"The academy only issued five copies. Two were posted on the academy walls, while the remaining ones were given only to people personally selected by the dean. The dean gives me a lot of privileges because Father saved him in the past. So, don’t think about it too much," Cassian said, unaware of what was going through Liliana’s mind.
