278. Four Satan and Phenex Family Tour to Base World. (2)

After a satisfying meal, Kaito, accompanied by Sakuya and Aika, guided the Phenex family and the Four Satans to explore the base world as promised. Of course, the first step was to visit Aincrad City, the closest location. Not to mention that this place also housed many important facilities, such as Lala and Kayaba's lab (in Kouten), Aincrad Academy, the in-progress Aincrad castle, and Kaito's residence, the world's highest leader.

(Kaito had already uploaded many memories to the group chat for all members to view.)

"Aika... as expected of you. Thank you," Kaito expressed his gratitude.

"It's my duty to help you, leader," Aika replied, then she handed out a 'white disc' to each guest.

"A disk? What's this?" Ajuka examined the disk curiously.

Aika explained, "A device that allows the user to instantly retrieve memories of something directly into their brain... cutting out explanations, although the user might need time to digest all the information."

"Another technology from another world? How do I use it?"

"Just stick it on your forehead, and the disk will automatically enter your mind."

Hearing Aika's instructions, all the guests did as she said. When the disk touched their foreheads, it immediately sank in, just like how the White Snake Stand discs work... and their minds were instantly filled with information about the history and cities of Base World. It also included information regarding all the people from other worlds, like a refugee from High School of the Dead in an anti-zombie city or Misaka sister / a small number of esper from Academy city.

"What an amazing invention." Ajuka praised and turned to Kaito, commenting, "Also, I didn't expect there was a world like Black Bullet. I must say, trying to discriminate against people who they expect to protect them is really stupid."

"Indeed. What a hateful world!" Serafall also quipped, "You are doing a good job to save those kids. Those humans don't deserve them."

After learning the tragic backstory of those children, the devil's group approved what Kaito and his friend did. They might be devil, but to learn what humans did in black bullet is even worse than most deranged devils do to reincarnated humans. They also learned what Kaito and his friend did in the Akame Ga Kill world and the High School of the Dead world too... which also greatly impressed them and made them look at him in a new light.

The fact that they are willing to do so much for the world that has nothing to do with them, albeit only to save and invite people to live in this world, made them believe Kaito and his friend have great personalities (they didn't know about the chat group task).

"Building a school with complete facilities plus elite teachers coming from various worlds, Kaito... you are truly generous." Sirzech praised, seeing many 'children' happily playing in the park from the office.

There's so much happy and cheerful noise around them, giving a warm atmosphere unlike many aristocrating school that are usually strict and devoid of fun.

Kaito shook his head, "I just want to do what they deserve. After all, in the future, the students at this school will become the foundation of this world and develop it... so I consider this a good investment."

Falbium nods, "That's a great mindset. But I am curious how much it costs to run this kind of academy?"

"I don't know, but we all covered it." Kaito shrugged casually, "For us who are the rules of this world, this was all nothing. Of course we do pay all the staff who are working here, don't worry."

Because this world operates under the full control of Kaito and the chat group members, the only real operating costs are chat group point consumption... and even then, they're not particularly expensive and are mostly one-time. For example, when building a power plant, Kaito only needs to configure the world once to create a suitable geothermal spot, which is then built atop the power plant, and the resulting electricity is distributed to many areas in the base world.

Furthermore, the chat group members also collaborate. More importantly, the management of classes was helped by Aika, Manaka, and Kayaba working together. Without them, Kaito had no doubt he couldn't make a system that could accommodate hundreds of thousands of children with different interests as fairly as possible. (It's like the college system)

"Amazing." Lord Phenex stated, "If that's the case, then can devils also attend this academy?"

Hearing Kaito's invitation, the devils were deeply moved. If the device were successfully recreated and uniform, then Kaito admitted that letting children become magical girls to defend good and love wouldn't be a bad thing... and Kaito has no reason to reject any children's dreams of wanting to become magical girls.

Kaito then explained Lala's idea to mass-produce "magical girl devices", tools that would allow anyone, including men, to transform into magical girls. These devices would enable people to better protect themselves, especially as the population looks toward exploring other worlds in the future.

Naturally, Kaito emphasized that the versions designed for men would have a different appearance, so they wouldn't have to worry about cross-dressing or suffering "social death."

Ajuka was immediately intrigued by the concept, and Kaito welcomed his enthusiasm, realizing that Ajuka's assistance could accelerate the device's development. With that, the group headed to the laboratory... the facility where all the world's inventions were created, with Lala, the lead scientist of the base world, also Kaito's newest harem member.
