The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

277. Four Satan and Phenex Family Tour to Base World. (1)

  • Next Chapter

The next morning, after confirming through the chat group that everyone was ready, Kaito sent direct invitations to both the Phenex family and the Four Satans. Since he already had their contact information, it wasn't long before everyone arrived at Kaito's residence in the human world.

From the Four Satans' side, all four Satans attended together with Grayfia. They were dressed in formal black suits and ties, giving the impression that they were attending an important diplomatic meeting rather than simply visiting another world. Even Serafall, who was normally much more colorful and flamboyant with her outfits, had put on a neat black suit like an elite capitalist.

Grayfia was the only exception to the formal attire of the Four Satan group. She remained in her usual maid uniform, although her serious expression and composed demeanor made it clear that she was treating today's visit with the utmost importance.

Meanwhile, the entire Phenex family had also arrived, with the sole exception of their second son, who apparently had other matters to attend to while the remaining members each wore their own elegant attire. Riser, for example, wore a sharp red suit with a white shirt underneath, while Lady Phenex appeared in a graceful golden dress. Lord Phenex and his other son were similarly dressed in fine formal clothing.

It was obvious that the entire family had made an effort to look their best.

...

"It's been a while, Lord Phenex, Lady Phenex, and their two sons..." Sirzechs greeted the Phenex family warmly after noticing their presence.

Everyone was currently waiting inside Kaito's living room, and nobody seemed particularly surprised to see the two groups together. Kaito had already informed both parties beforehand that they would be visiting the Base World together.

As the head of the Phenex family, Lord Phenex stepped forward and respectfully nodded toward the Four Satans. "Greetings, Sirzech-sama, and the other three Four Satans. It seems my son-in-law has already revealed his secret to you."

He did," Ajuka replied with a nod. "Did he also explain his plans regarding the Devil Race?"

"Well--"

"I did~ After all, he's my father-in-law.""

A cheerful voice suddenly interrupted the conversation, then everyone turned toward the entrance.. and found Kaito had just arrived in the living room alone.

He then greeted the assembled guests enthusiastically.

"Hello, everyone! Welcome to my home~."

""Hello, Kaito/Greeting, Kaito-san.""

Everyone returned his greeting warmly. Serafall, however, immediately looked around with curiosity.

"You are alone? I thought there would be many women around you, Kaito-kun~" Serafall teased.

"Indeed." Lord Phenex also looked around. "I wonder if Ravel will be accompanying us." Lady Phenex nodded beside him.

Kaito just smiled and answered, "Umm... The girls already went there first to prepare. Obviously including Ravel-chan as well."

"Oh? Then we shall look forward to it." Ajuka raised an eyebrow with amusement. "Is there anything we need to prepare on our side?"

Kaito shook his head. "Nope. Just stand where you are; I will quickly teleport everyone together to our base world."

The Four Satans exchanged glances.

"Teleport all of us at once?" Falbium asked.

"Yep." Kaito smiled confidently, "Please just stay and be calm, everyone."

Compared to the old teleportation method to the Base World, which was slow, disorienting, and required a payment of 1,000 points per person, Kaito's current method was far more convenient. It was practically instantaneous and completely free, with no usage limit.

As a result, Kaito didn't need to prepare anything beforehand whatsoever. He simply issued a command to the Chat Group System in his mind, instructing it to transfer everyone in the living room directly to the Wooden Mansion in the Base World.

In the very next instant--

Everyone in the room vanished without warning. One moment, they were standing inside Kaito's residence in the human world. The next second, they were already standing inside the Wooden Mansion in the Base World.

After Kaito teleported everyone, they arrived directly inside the meeting room of the Wooden Mansion, which had been decorated with welcoming banners and messages prepared specifically for their guests.

Several Chat Group members, along with many Base World citizens who had volunteered to help, were already waiting to greet them together. The Phenex family and the Four Satans were naturally surprised by how instantaneous the teleportation had been, but they quickly composed themselves and began observing their unfamiliar surroundings.

????

"That was... incredibly fast. Was that instantaneous teleportation?" Lord Phenex asked in surprise. Seeing he couldn't even feel the process, he was wondering whether he was currently inside an illusion.

"Umm... I didn't feel anything at all either." Serafall blinked in confusion.

"I had already set up detection magic, yet I couldn't detect the teleportation process whatsoever." Ajuka, instead of being confused, narrowed his eyes with interest. "Fascinating. What kind of technology is this?"

"Well... I wouldn't exactly call it technology."

Kaito could only give a wry smile before turning toward his guests.

"Anyway, welcome to the Base World~!"

""Welcome!"" (Everyone in the room)

...!!!

"Welcome to the Base World! We hope you'll enjoy your visit and consider joining us!"

"Is that really the Devil Race? They don't look much different from humans!"

"Welcome to the Base World! We hope you'll enjoy your visit and consider joining us!"

"Is that really the Devil Race? They don't look much different from humans!"

A wave of greetings and curious comments immediately followed.

The voices came from both the Chat Group members and the Base World citizens who had volunteered to participate in today's welcoming ceremony. Everyone had the same goal: to make a good impression on the Devil Race and convince them that the Base World could truly become their new home.

Of course, many of the volunteers had initially been nervous after learning that their guests were devils.

For most of them, the word devil naturally carried a certain amount of fear and uncertainty. However, their concerns quickly disappeared once they learned more about the situation of the devil race. It was also a shock for them to learn that the supreme leader of this base world, Kaito, was himself a devil, and many came to understand why Kaito wanted to invite his own kin to his own world.

Furthermore, they learned that devils were not fundamentally different from humans, at least not that much. They possessed their own unique culture, magic, and abilities, while also bringing enormous potential in areas such as magical research, military power, and world security.

Once they understood that, many of the volunteers became genuinely enthusiastic about welcoming the devil guest. After all, they had personally experienced what life in the Base World was like for a while and really wanted to help it develop even further.

Although most of the inhabitants had only arrived a few months ago, they had already grown deeply attached to their new home. The world was peaceful, the atmosphere was harmonious, resources were plentiful, and even necessities such as food and water were readily available regardless of whether someone had a job.

And if welcoming the Devil Race could help strengthen the Base World's future while also allowing them to contribute to its development, then most citizens were more than willing to lend a hand.

For all of them, today's event wasn't merely a diplomatic visit. It was an opportunity to welcome a new race into the world they had come to call home and to develop it together even further.

...

Anyway, thanks to the warm welcome and the banquet that had been prepared for them, the Devils quickly developed a favorable first impression of the Base World.

Everyone was curious about their surroundings, but Serafall was particularly interested in the people gathered around them. Her sharp eyes quickly noticed that several of the residents didn't seem entirely human.

"Some of those people look like humans, but they aren't!" Serafall commented curiously. "Especially those children... and that middle-aged white-haired man."

"Those two are former Cursed Children and a ninja from another world," Kaito explained. "Well, they're technically still human, but they're definitely far from normal."

"One has the Gastrea ability and the other one is kind of superhuman... although he's also a pervert who would peek at an onsen,"  Erina complained.

"One of them has Gastrea abilities, while the other is basically a superhuman..." Erina suddenly frowned,  "Although he's also a pervert who likes peeking at women in hot springs."

"Hey, hey! Those were necessary for research material for my books~." Jiraiya immediately raised both hands in protest before grinning mischievously, "Besides, I know most of the people here are my customers. So, technically, my books benefit everyone~. Am I wrong?"

...!!?!?!

The response was immediate.

Several people awkwardly looked away at the same time. Some even turned red with embarrassment, and Kaito was among them.

There was no denying that quite a few people-- including Kaito himself-- had read Jiraiya's infamous novels and secretly enjoyed them. There's no doubt Jiraiya's masterpiece truly deserved its popularity in the Naruto world.

The Devils noticed their strange reactions but wisely decided not to ask what they were talking about.

*Cough*

Seeing the conversation heading in an increasingly dangerous direction, Kaito quickly cleared his throat., "A- As you can see, everyone is from the Devil race."

He gestured toward the surrounding residents, "Many of us live together in this world harmoniously without any problems, even though we come from different worlds and even different types of 'humans'."

"Is that so?" Falbium nodded thoughtfully. It seems you are not lying about wanting to bring many races to live in this world."

"Indeed," Sirzechs added. "It appears discrimination isn't really an issue here. But we want to see it ourselves later during the trip."

"No problem. If I am lying, you can easily see through it. My intention was sincere, Sirzech-san." Kaito replied.

"We will see." Sirzech smiled at him.

"That's certainly good news if that's true, but..."

Ajuka, meanwhile, seemed far more interested in the environment itself. "There's an enormous amount of different energy in the air, but I can't identify all of it as conventional magical energy. And there are countless tiny machines scattered throughout the atmosphere."

"Ah! Let me explain!~"

Lala suddenly jumped into the conversation excitedly, recognized a fellow scientist, "They're Air Loops—or, well, you could call them tiny microscopic air-monitoring nano robots!"

"They're devices used to monitor the entire city and maintain various environmental systems. The technology originally came from another world!"

Hearing what Lala said, Ajuka's eyes immediately lit up, "Another world's technology?!"

Seeing the pink-haired girl respond to him, Ajuka recognized her, "You are... Kaito's fiancée?"

"Umm!" Lala happily raised her hand, "I'm one of Kaito-kun's fiancées! But I'm also the lead researcher here!"

She leaned forward excitedly. "I'm actually really interested in your research too, Ajuka-san! Especially that artificial sun you created in the Underworld!"

"Is that so?" Ajuka smiled, also excited. "Then I'm equally interested in the technology you've developed here."

"Don't worry, you will visit my lab later! I will show you all of our exciting projects!"

The two continued to exchange, getting deep with their own conversation. Seeing this, Kaito immediately just wryly smiled, but deep inside was also more determined to recruit Ajuka to help. Even if they didn't manage to invite the Devil race to come, Ajuka must be recruited by them!

...

After the welcoming ceremony, Kaito invited everyone to enjoy the prepared banquet before beginning the tour of the Base World. The volunteer staff immediately got to work, serving food and drinks while making sure that the devil guests were comfortable.

Fortunately, the banquet was an overwhelming success.

With Erina, Hisako, and several other culinary elites from the Base World (Shokugeki no Souma world) personally preparing the dishes, the Devils were thoroughly impressed by the food. Even Riser, who had initially been somewhat skeptical about the entire trip, couldn't deny how delicious everything was.

As the banquet continued, the Devils also had plenty of opportunities to speak with the Chat Group members and ordinary inhabitants of the Base World.

They learned about their origins.

They heard stories about how different races and people from different worlds had gradually settled here.

They learned about the world's unique systems, technology, magic, and infrastructure.

And, perhaps most importantly, they witnessed firsthand how naturally everyone interacted with one another.

There was no obvious distinction between people from different worlds.

No one seemed concerned about bloodline.

No one cared whether someone was human, modified human, reincarnated, or something else entirely.

Everyone simply lived together.

For the Devils, who had spent centuries dealing with discrimination, political struggles, hostile factions, and the lingering scars of the Civil War, such an environment was almost unbelievable. By the end of the welcoming banquet, the Four Satans and the Phenex family had already formed a highly favorable impression of the Base World.

If Kaito had asked them to sign the migration agreement right then and there, several of them might genuinely have been tempted to do so. But they hadn't come here merely to enjoy good food, but wanted to see what kind of benefit Kaito could offer them directly.

The answer was a lot more.

The welcome banquet had only been the beginning, yet almost everyone got hooked. There's no doubt that so far, the chat group member plan was a big success.
