248. Kaito vs Accelerator; Accelerator Got Beaten and Persuaded to Become Good Person.

While Esdeath is done with her fight, Kaito is currently in trouble... because he's currently engaged against Accelerator, who has been chasing him! Its situation sis imilar to Esdeath's, except Kaito didn't want to fight back at all for a reason.

Another concrete metal pillar came his way on the air, forcing Kaito to avoid, but the result was destroying the nearby skyscraper! Aleister definitely won't be happy about it!

"Bro, can you stop throwing stuff at me!" Kaito complained, skillfully navigating in the air, "Chairman won't be happy with it!"

"Are you really the new number one! Why are you running away?!" Acceleator barked and followed behind, using vector manipulation to make him float in the air, and chasing Kaito.

"That's because you keep throwing material at me!"

"As if I care about that!"

Initially, Accelerator targeted Misaka Mikoto, the one who defeated him and replaced his rank, but Kaito naturally intervened... mainly for two reasons.

First, he wasn't so helpful compared to Misaka.

Compared to Kaito, Misaka Mikoto's esper ability to hack the Kihara Clan laboratory is far more useful than his in rescuing Dolly and the Misaka sisters. Initially, with their current strength, infiltrating, destroying, and rescuing Misaka's sisters wouldn't take long at all, and it was the truth.

Just under a minute, with the cooperation of everyone, they were to rescue the target and beat all the private army under Kihara's command with ease.

But the situation happened, changing their entire plan. Apparently, Misaka picked up more information about the rest of Misaka's sisters' whereabouts (which are being experimented on) from Kihara's memory and decided to rescue them with Shokohou Misaki.

Since the night is currently very chaotic with all the destruction that has happened in the city, it's the perfect time to do so. Not to mention, the current Misaka Mikoto is almost unstoppable!

Of course, Kaito naturally wanted to help Misaka, but then Accelerator intercepted them halfway... which was the second reason why he engaged Accelerator instead of just finishing him off. That's because he received a newly issued personal task by the chat group system and world consciousness itself.

The implication reminded Kaito that even though there was no group task, there was still a world consciousness that wouldn't be happy about their actions tonight... and the failure condition is something that Kaito dared to face!

Set aside the enticing reward... Kaito was well aware there was no way he could fail this mission. Ignore the generous reward, the failure of the task is something they couldn't afford, because there's no doubt that certain existence would be 'magic gods' who are hiding behind the phase.

If they were found by those gods, there's no way any chat group member can even go back to this world until they are strong enough to fight them!

And the worst of all, Misaka definitely couldn't go back to her own world if that happened... leaving all of her friends and family in worst case scenario

The main problem is how Kaito is supposed to persuade the arrogant guy. First, Accelerator is a good person; Kaito and the chat group members know that.

There's no way that this world consciousness even wants him to change if he's actually a villain or bad person.

In the original, the only reason why Accelerator becomes mellow is due to his defeat against Kamijou Touma, the protagonist whom he sees as a hero (while he's aware that he's a villain). However, now the fact is different. Accelerator gets beaten by Misaka Mikoto, who is not exactly a hero, not to mention the current Accelerator is still capable of using his calculation perfectly.

[Mage of Exodus]: "Indeed. Your luck is so bad as always, darling."

Looking at Nanoha and Saitama's suggestion, Kaito admits it might be worth a try. As Saitama said, Accelerator is just a misunderstood person; he's not evil, but was forced to be one. In the original, it was shown that Accelerator was capable of becoming a better person and was willing to protect Last Order from any harm to atone for his sin.

Seeing another hurricane sent by the enraged Accelerator, Kaito was forced to teleport to avoid it again. At the moment, both of them were currently fighting in the open sky of District 17-- although it's mainly Accelerator chasing Kaito, and Kaito never fought back at all.

"Stop teleporting, you bastard! Face me like a man!" Accelerator, enraged, throws a literal lightning at his direction.

Naturally, it was easily avoided by Kaito's haki, agility, and reaction speed... that's even superior to Esdeath. Kaito genuinely think that Level 5 Esper is a joke in front of a 6* powerhouse like him.

There's no reason for Kaito to take him seriously (right now). There are so many Kaito abilities that could counter him that he could kill Accelerator with a single Gungnir if Kaito wanted to.

*BLINK*

"Whoops, chill man. Can we just talk peacefully instead of fighting and destroying the city?" Kaito is still trying to persuade him, "Let's get to the ground, okay?"

Kaito then lands on the ground to show his sincerity, but Accelerator doesn't seem to care about it and sees it as provocation.

"Shut up! If you want me to listen, then defeat me!"

Accelerator yelled and then decided to rush at Kaito at maximum speed, and didn't even want to give Kaito a chance to take a breath. Since the beginning of their confrontation, Kaito has been only taunting and avoiding all Accelerator's attacks, so it gives Accelerator the idea that Kaito must be bad in close combat.

But he couldn't be more wrong about that. The Accelerator himself forgets he's also very bad in close combat... and his proud speed was something Kaito easily reacted to. As for his Esper power, Imagine Breaker literally would make it non-existent.

In fact, being trained by Sakuya and Miya, Kaito is easily the top fighter when it comes to close combat. The fact that he could fight toe-to-toe against Gilgamesh in the Fate world is proof of how good he actually is at fighting.

If Kamijou Touma could defeat Accelerator in close combat, then challenging Kaito would be like a toddler trying to beat Mike Tyson!

"You're asking for this, man," Kaito complained, thinking this was the perfect time to apply Nanoha's suggestion.

Since Accelerator rushed and asked for a beating, Kaito decided to give it a try and fulfill his wish... then immediately punched him in the gut.

"Uoogh!" Accelerator screamed involuntarily, his body bent like a shrimp, "Y-You?!"

"Clench your teeth, arrogant boy!"

Didn't give him a chance to react, Kaito continues to deliver another two fast punches to his gut and ends it with an uppercut. Even so, Kaito is still greatly holding back his punch, since he feels he could easily kill Accelerator if he wanted to.

"Arrgh!"

"Ough!"

"Ack!"

His punches were much stronger than even the strongest boxer in the world, and that could be much worse if Kaito used armament haki. Accelerator was lucky Kaito wasn't intending to kill him at all.

After getting a strong uppercut at the last conbo, Accelerator ended up lying on the ground, vomiting blood while writhing in pain. Thus, their destructive fight that destroyed several districts ended up pretty anticlimactic.

Well, at least no innocents were affected, and those experimental labs got destroyed in their fight.

"So, are you willing to listen to me now, Mr. Former Number 1?" Kaito walked, stood in front of him while staring from above, "You didn't expect I would be so good at close combat, didn't you?"

Hearing what Kaito said, Accelerator, glaring at him with anger and confusion, "Agh... it hurt. Why... can't I activate my ability?!"

Obviously, Accelerator was confused why his vector manipulation didn't work there; it didn't even activate while Kaito was beating him up. And he didn't expect that Kaito was actually very strong in combat, which overturned his perception about Esper.

"Ah, I forgot to mention, my right hand can cancel any Esper ability." 

"That's... R-Ridiculous ability!"

"Eh. You didn't ask me."

Kaito sneered and then pulled Accelerator by his neck off the ground with his right hand, face to face, seriously, "So... after the beating... uh, can you become a good person now?"

Hearing what Kaito said, Accelerator became dumbfounded, even forgetting his pain for a moment, "W-What are you talking about, bastard? A-Are you crazy?! Y-You just beat me, and you want to be my friend?!""

"You are the one whos crazy here! Asking me for a beating, really?" Kaito yelled in his face, "So clear your mind and let's talk!"

"Agh... You are not gonna beat me again?! What nonsense do you want to do?!" Accelerator still yells at him in anger, despite he's currently at Kaito's mercy.

However, there's also clear confusion and curiosity in Accelerator's gaze, which Kaito does notice in his eyes.

As a former 'bully' in high school DxD world, Kaito was, in fact, used to being in the same position as Accelerator and really understood him. Back then, he used a lot of his strength to protect others against gangs (like what he did with Ravel in chapter 1), but instead of getting respected, most students actually fear him and give him a bad reputation.

There are also so many gangs that challenge him and give him trouble, so he can understand Accelerator's annoyance. However, unlike Accelerator, Kaito chooses to persevere instead of retaliation, believing that answering violence with violence isn't the answer.

"What does it matter to you? I-I didn't enjoy it, but those researchers want me to do it!" Accelerator finally gave in and complained, "A person like me doesn't deserve to be forgiven. I am a villain, and you should treat me as such!"

"Heh... so you want someone to beat you up, and I already did. Now you are no longer a villain." Kaito answered, feeling enlightened by his answer.

"Shut up! That's not how it works!"

"That's how it works, that's what I said."

"You bastard!"

"Tsundere already thought in the past, Accelerator." Kaito shook his head and retorted, "Besides, you underestimate me. I already befriended several villains before meeting you."

Around Kaito, how many worse criminals have now become friends? Crocodile, Kayaba Akihiko, and even Manaka... the literal Beast keeper is his lover.

Besides, Kaito himself knows that he is not a good person either... and didn't care about justice at all.

Kaito would beat and wouldn't hesitate to harm anyone who dared to harm his family. He's also probably the most evil person in the chat group right now. Kayaba may kill thousands of people, and Crocodile's kill count is definitely much more than thousands.

But Kaito? He killed millions of people in the Fate world, and tens of thousands more were killed in Black Bullet world with his own hand (and clone).

Accelerator gritted his teeth, "Why are you doing this? Besides, I did kill those clones... that's the fact, and no good person would kill people."

"Anyway, about that, I do have a way for you to atone for the sin of Misaka's sister, who was killed by you." Kaito explained in a hurry, "As long as you are willing to cooperate, of course."

"Heh!! So that's your aim to befriend me, bastard? You want me to help you?!"

"No, no, no, listen to me first before you react." Kaito shook his head and then said, "Ever heard a Last Order? I want you to protect her as she's really important among the Misaka sisters... in exchange, I will resurrect all the Misaka sisters you have killed before."

After that, to complete this difficult personal task, Kaito didn't hesitate to reveal his identity as a person from another world, and they do have the capability to resurrect the dead. He also explained their goal to rescue all the sisters, which explained why Misaka Mikoto decided to stop the experiment, and even their main goal to kidnap all the Misaka sisters to the base world.

After a long, difficult negotiation, fortunately, in the end, Accelerator is willing to accept Kaito's deal and take care of Last Order. However, that would be much later, since the Accelerator needs to be rushed into the hospital before ended up dying for real.
