247. Esdeath vs Kakine Teitoku; Not A Fight But Training for the General.

Looking at Aika's comment, everyone else in the chat group who hadn't gotten into the Saitama-sensei broadcast immediately jumped in. They also expressed shock, seeing how destructive the fight between the powerhouse.

Because the whole district area was basically turned into ruin, although they probably only started like 10 minutes ago!

[Mage of Exodus]: "No, we can let Esdeath kill him. Though I wonder if Esdeath would have ended up defeated instead, since from what I have seen in screen, both of them were pretty equal in strength."

[Caped Baldy]: "That's true. 'This Kakine guy has the ability to instantly defeat Esdeath. Thankfully, Esdeath has learn haki and even I admit she's a genius in using it."

[God Tongue]: "So, in the end, Esdeath definitely won the battle since Kakine couldn't hit her anyway."

[Mage of Exodus]: "Then you can try to save him, sensei. He could be used as a bargaining chip to Aleister, anyway. Also, let him contact Kaito later, maybe our leader can learn something."

[Caped Baldy]: "Okay then. I don't like killing anyway."

Seeing the spectacular battle between Dark Matter and Esdeath from the side, Saitama admits he's quite envious of Esdeath. Despite being at a disadvantage, Esdeath clearly enjoys her current fight and the struggle against a formidable opponent.

"How long you going to run from me, you bird guy?!"

Esdeath once again leaps into the air, attempting to cut Kakine down, but Kakine quickly retreats by flying higher out of Esdeath's reach. In response, Kakine also launch counterattack, shooting a dozen 'crystal' toward her.

This action again forced Esdeath to quickly retreat and run zigzag, avoiding all of those crystals that were aimed at her. Fortunately, Esdeath is faster than Kakine's attack, and with Haki, she was able to run around safely while avoiding all of it.

Esdeah has no trouble to tore building just to avoid Kakine attack, while Kakine crystal itself was enough to blow up building around him since it also has explosive properties!

"Stop running around and obediently getting hit!"

"Do you think I am stupid!? HAHAHAHA!!"

Even though it's only been around 10 minutes since their confrontation, the fight between them is already causing mass destruction in the area of District 6... destroying many recreational facilities, including the only big Amusement Park in the Academy City.

The clash between Esdeath and Kakine Teitoku was, in fact, initially led by Esdeath, but right now, they were pretty much equal.

That's because during the fight, Kakine managed to create matter in the form of 'crystal' that was capable of adapting and destroying Esdeath's ice ability with ease. Thus, those matters are too dangerous for Esdeath to get hit (her Teigu is in her blood), so Esdeath did her best to avoid all Kakine's dangerous attacks instead of blocking them.

But even without her Teigu, Esdeath can still fight well against Kakine using her Haki and combat experience alone. Haki was effective against him, but unfortunately, Kakine also has high mobility, as he was able to fly.

The fight has now become an endurance battle between them... with neither of them able to afford any mistake. Once one of them gets hit by an opponent's attack, it will end the fight instantly. 

Kakine's crystal matter could disable Esdeath Teigu and weaken her immensely, while Esdeath's any attack could cut him in half.

However, the truth is Esdeath clearly gained more upper hand the longer they fought. After all, when it comes to endurance, there's no way for Kakine to last long against a general who could fight for days nonstop.

Esdeath naturally knows this, hence why she's insisted on continuing to chase him despite the disadvantageous situation of forcing him to keep avoiding her attack. In fact, Esdeath actually enjoyed this fight and treated it as her 'training ground', as she could tell that her observation haki improved significantly during this fight.

Besides that, Esdeath could think of many ways just to instantly end the battle... but instead she chose to fight ín hard way to improve herself!

While Esdeath enjoyed it, Kakine, on the other hand, yelled in anger, frustrated with the situation. His teammates were captured, and his enemy was basically 'toying' with him.

Kakine can totally see that the woman in front of her was more skilled and experienced than him. If not for his ability to fly, Kakine knew that Esdeath would already have beaten her long ago.

"What's wrong, boy? Can't stop yelling and cursing?!" Esdeath grinned while still running around, avoiding Kakine's endless storm of anti-ice matter crystals.

"I told you to stop moving, you bitch!"

"Then, you also need to stop flying and shooting this annoying thing at me!"

"Is this all you can do? Where's your arrogance, boy? You can only curse me from far away and keep shooting at me like a coward!"

In anger, Kakine increases the amount of projectiles he throws at her, but naturally, Esdeath is still able to dodge them with ease just by increasing her speed and focus.

"Said by a dog who doesn't even dare to get close to me and fly in the sky!"

"You really annoyed me, woman!"

"Hahahaha!" Esdeath laughed and continued taunting him back, "How long will you be able to keep flying and shoot me around? The moment you go down, that's the moment when I will beat you up, you rude bastard!"

Getting angered, Kakine isn't holding back and literally bombs every area with the deadly ice crystal, to the point Esdeath couldn't even get close, forcing her to run around avoiding all of it.

The whole district 6 gets destroyed even further beyond recognition, but even after a minute of spamming... Esdeath is still unharmed by his attack.

Seeing the very pessimistic situation while also starting to get tired, Kakine finally realized there's no hope for him to defeat Esdeath, and it would be better for him to retreat for now. 

"Damn it, Damn it! I will remember this grudge, woman!"

 Seeing Kakine stop attacking, Esdeath naturally tried to attack again, but then she frowned-- realizing that Kakine didn't seem to want to fight anymore.

"What? You want to escape? Impossible. That's boring!"

"We only fight for 15 minutes!"

Realizing her target had decided to escape by flying away, Esdeath knew the playing time was over, and it was time to execute the target. As a competent general, she naturally couldn't let the enemy escape due to her own amusement and was determined to capture Kakine no matter what.

She's also very interested in this man's ability, and knowing the chat group people, Esdeath can imagine they were also interested in him (which is right).

Using her ice creation ability, she created a huge iceberg instantly below to launch herself into the air... trying to catch Kakine off guard.

However, Kakine saw it coming and reacted to her attack, easily avoiding it since he has much higher mobility in the sky with his wings, while Esdeath basically just flies straight.

In response, Kakine throws another projectile in Esdeath's direction. Kakine sees this as a chance since he thinks there's not much Esdeath can do to avoid his attack in midair... he couldn't be more wrong, as he really underestimates Esdeath's combat instinct.

[Icy Flight!]

To avoid Kakine's attack and change her flight trajectory, Esdeath developed a new ability on the spot. In mid-air, she used both hands as a steering wheel and released some ice to give her enough energy to repulse herself and change direction in this temporary flight (similar to Gear 4 Luffy).

Using it, she was able to avoid all of the projectiles with ease and even directing rushing at Kakine at high speed!

"What?! You can fly?!"

Shocked to see that Esdeath was somehow now also able to fly, Kakine was trying to avoid her again, as he's clearly not her match in close combat. Unfortunately for him, this time, Esdeath thinks that he has enough time for playing and decides to finish Kakine off. 

When Esdeath got close enough to him, she immediately went all out with her Teigu, literally freezing the whole sky for a few seconds!

*BZZZZ*

The whole thing was so instantaneous and so huge, as if a giant iceberg suddenly appeared in the sky and trapped Kakine for a second. Even though Kakine can easily release himself with his unreal matter, those few second was enough for Esdeath to get close and crash into him!

"What... AAAARRRGH!"

"HAHAHAHA!! FALL WITH ME! MAHAPATMA!"

"YOU CRAZY WOMANNNN!!"

Since Esdeath was crashing into Kakine, both of them were now falling together-- soon approaching the ground. Esdeath wasn't afraid to take fall damage due to her superior physical strength, but Kakine's body wasn't as durable as hers. Even with the risk of getting affected by the matters, Esdeath simply doesn't care because getting injured is normal to her!

Naturally, Kakine frantically wanted to control his wings in panic to maintain the flight, but Esdeath literally decided to freeze his whole body in a fraction of a second with her ultimate move, resorting to Mahapatma just to ensure he would get caught by her!

*BOOOOM*

And just like that, both of them crashed into a nearby tall building at high speed, causing the building and the surrounding area to be destroyed upon impact... creating a blinding huge explosion in the middle of the night.

Thankfully, no civilians were affected under Aleister's arrangement before the fight, but needless to say, the majority of District 6 was badly destroyed to the point it won't be usable for months.

In the end, Kakine Teitoku fell unconscious, and Esdeath succesfully manage to freeze his whole body because of it. With Esdeath successfully freezing Kakine Teitoku's whole body as her winning souvenir, the rest of the SCHOOL members naturally surrendered to them.

Now the only matter left is the Kaito x Misaka team in the rescue of Dolly-- which should be no problem, but unfortunately, things become complicated on Kaito's side, forcing him to separate from Misaka to handle Accelerator on his own.

That's because Kaito just gets a personal task from the system to not kill Accelerator and even tries to correct him... which apparently comes from the world itself. Fortunately, after befriending many protagonists of different worlds, Kaito had the confidence to persuade him to correct his path, especially since he fully understood Accelerator's character from the memories.
