240. Misaka Showoff Her Ability; Kaito and Ravel Meet Shokohou Misaki.

After deciding to take action, Misaka Mikoto quickly rushes in at a speed that even shocks Kuroko Shirai, who moves first. After improving her strength significantly with the chat group system, Misaka's physical strength is much stronger than she originally had. After all, thanks to daily tasks, Misaka Mikoto actually runs 10km at a minimum every single day!

Naturally, as the protagonist of the show, she wants to change a lot of things that happened in her memory for the better... like what happened to the Fantasy Beast Incident or Misaka Last Order. For example, in the memory, Kuroko would catch all 3 robbers by herself while the last one was driving a car, forcing Misaka to use Railgun to stop him. However, this act also destroys public properties on top of slightly injuring all passersby who were watching them closely.

Such things were unacceptable, so Misaka's first goal was to make sure to prevent it from happening.

"Onee-sama?" Hearing her request, Kuroko was surprised and then warned, "But you were not part of the discipline committee... And your power is too destructive!"

Misaka scoffed and said, "I won't destroy anything! I'm just going to test my new ability, and it will just end in seconds!"

"Huh?"

"Take a look at this!"

After saying that, Misaka then stretched her right hand and elementalized all of her fingers into elemental form. This creates a sophisticated 5 different controllable mini lightning currents that directly go to all the targets at light speed!

With her improved calculation and control, Misaka easily reached all the targets in a nanosecond and then electrified them altogether by temporarily stopping all their bioelectromagnetic activity inside their body.

Because of how small the current (yet deadly) is, the robbers who are affected instantly become unconscious. Misaka shuts down all of their nerves at the same time, paralyzes, and forces their bodies to shut down. So, unlike the original plot, where one of the robbers managed to get into car and attempted to crash into her, this time the robbers didn't even realize what was happening.

"Wow..."

It was so fast and so effective that everyone who witnessed it was shocked. Especially Kuroko, who knew that such a small electrical current shouldn't hurt much, yet she was proven wrong as Misaka quickly took down all the robbers instantly.

Current Misaka is just too powerful and rich in combat experience; it's basically an overkill for her to take action against robbers.

"Onee-sama, you are amazing!" Kuroko exclaimed after seeing how easily Misaka handled them.

"Hmmph! It was nothing." Misaka shrugged, feeling proud but pretending to feel nothing, "Anyway, they were just unconscious for a few minutes at best, so let's tie them altogether!"

Misaka turned around and asked Kaito, who followed behind her, "Can you create a handcuff to use on them, Kaito?"

"Sure thing." Kaito reacted positively, didn't mind helping as long as he didn't need to go shopping again, "Normal one or the one that can suppress esper power?"

"The latter. One of the robbers has pyrokinesis power after all." Misaka answered.

After getting confirmation, Kaito quickly created four 'anti-supernatural' handcuffs—something he developed with Lala over the past month out of thin air. The metal handcuffs were made in pink (Lala's inspiration), and how they work is that they constantly absorb energy from anyone caught in them, so they are not absolute like Imagine Breaker. Still, this item is rated as a 6* item because anyone who cannot release an output as strong as Misaka Mikoto's normally in a single second can't get free from it.

"So, this is the power of number 1. Creation ability... is truly deserved to be number 1."

Watching the creation directly, and how the handcuff actually worked on the criminal (Kuroko can tell she can't muster any energy when touching it), Kaito becomes Esper number 1, clearly deserved due to the versatility of his creation ability. Today, thanks to how fast information spreads in the Academy City, everyone already knows what Kaito is capable of (generally).

 "I hate to admit that, but you only see the surface of what this guy can do." Misaka snorted, "Even I would get killed instantly if I went against him."

Being 5* strength being herself, Misaka knows how difficult it is to increase their strength, yet Kaito is currently underway to reach the planet destroyer realm in 7*. In a way, Misaka admit while Kaito was unlucky, he's actually pretty lucky to become the chat group owner and grow up so quickly.

After capturing all the troublesome robbers, Uiharu and Kuroko quickly brought them to Judgement, as they needed to provide a report about the situation as witnesses. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident since Misaka acted quickly, and no public property was damaged as she had hoped.

When the Discipline Committee learned what happened, they also couldn't help but be shocked, just like Kuroko had been earlier. After all, they were often cleaning up Misaka's messes, as she frequently hangs out with Kuroko and helps with accidents.

Due to her active participation, Misaka Mikoto also needs to follow Kuroko and Uiharu to report-- so their plan to go shopping together couldn't work today (which Kaito is happy about). Naturally, Misaka didn't mind cooperating with her friends and even expressed her idea to change the plot in the chat group.

Being the only one left, Saten Ruiko also decided to slip away, going to back to her apartment.

Hence, with the group basically disbanded, Kaito and Ravel decide to go nearby cafe to chill together for an afternoon snack and just have a mini date hanging out together. While on it, both Ravel and Kaito also accessed the chat group, making their supposed date look awkward from an outsider's perspective (as both of them seemed to be staring at the air and occasionally chuckling on it).

Kaito naturally will let Ravel do anything she wants to him, as he thinks it's proof of her character growth. The old Ravel would be too shy to do this, and now he is genuinely happy for Ravel to take innitiative.

Also, anything besides 'shopping'... Kaito would gladly let Ravel feed him until the night as long as they don't need to go shopping around and let him follow Ravel trying on so many clothes and stuff...

However, their sweet moment was cut short when Kaito recognized an important character just entered the same cafe a few minutes later and didn't even try to hide the fact that she was looking for them.

A young teenager with blonde eyes and starry eyes, wearing a Tokiwadai uniform and long white sleeves covering both hands. Compared to Misaka Mikoto, she looks much more developed and even prettier than Railgun Girl at first glance.

Yes, for some reason, now Shokohou Misaki, rival of Misaka and another level 5 Esper, is walking toward them alone. Kaito is pretty sure no one in their group has approached her before, but it's clear now that she was about to make contact with them.
