Chapter 3609: Anomalous Variable
Chapter 3609: Anomalous Variable
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!
The battle commenced as the two sides of the war immediately charged against each other with violent aggression. The whallic vessels and the cyborg ships unleashed a tremendous siege of projectiles, lasers, and missiles at each other, causing immense explosions to erupt at each other’s sides.
RUMBLE!!!
The surface of the ocean shook violently as deep depressions and giant waves emerged from the tumult, rocking vessels on either side. The bright light of the explosions illuminated the world, erasing the darkness of the night sky momentarily.
The pathwalkers of each side fragmented and stratified across the ocean immediately into distinct groups, ensuring that the stronger pathwalkers did not harm the weaker ones on their side.
The strongest of pathwalkers were left alone at the very center of the battle. Amare’s amber eyes bore deep into Transentia’s as the two women sized each other up.
Despite the turbulent environment around them, a faint silence seemed to hang in the air as the world around them faded away from their consciousness.
Their focus honed in on their enemy.
“Can you handle her by yourself?” Lord Narsimha asked with a growling voice as his gaze shifted to Amare.
He didn’t think very highly of females, but he knew that the two who faced each other off were highly impressive, having witnessed Amare utterly wreck several converged beasts in the Kiriket Civil War, where she felled several converged beasts, fighting them simultaneously.
Transentia, on the other hand, was one of the most powerful ascendant tekvores in all of Greater Tekvoria.
“It would be of great help if you could keep her occupied,” Lord Maruthi mused at Amare. “We will gain a definitive advantage in this battle.”
Amare nodded slowly. “Get going. I…”
Her amber eyes flared with power. “I will crush her.”
The two converged beasts didn’t need any more confirmation; they quickly parted ways with her as they charged towards the other weaker ascendant tekvores with great aggression.
If they got enough time with the weaker ascendant tekvores, then they would singlehandedly wipe them out.
“You are going nowhere.” Transentia’s crystalline voice reverberated as she unleashed a wave of quantum-gravitational lasers against Lord Maruthi and Lord Narsimha.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
Transentia’s eyes sharpened as Amare emerged before them, sweeping her hand with a powerful gravitation wave, disrupting her opponent’s tweezers. Her leaf-covered body was positioned between Transentia and the stunned Maruthi and Narsimha.
“Go,” Amare instructed them as her amber eyes flared with power. “I can handle her.”
The two of them directed a deep gaze at her before nodding.
Transentia’s crystalline eyebrow twitched at the sight of the two converged beasts rushing to wreak havoc on the other tekvores. She had been ordered by NOVA to keep them in check, for they were some of the most powerful tekvores after Transentia herself.
Amare’s sharp amber eyes remained fixed on Transentia as her green, leafy body sky-walked to position itself between Transentia and the therianthropes.
“My Lady,” Transentia spoke out loud with a deferent tone even as her cold eyes remained fixed on Amare. “The provided intelligence has proven to be critically false. We have an unexpected variable that has altered the equation unfavorably.”
Amare could tell she was not talking to her.
Her amber eyes widened as a text message materialized midair.
She couldn’t even tell where it came from.
There was no radio signal or anything of the sort.
It just seemed to materialize out of thin air.
[Hmm… satellite data suggested that she was supposed to be in the Kandrian Empire. (╭ರ_•́) I have no idea what the Omni-Martial is doing here. I guess she must have teleported back to the Continent of Kiriket at some point. I will have to account for this variable in the future, for it is the only thing that has deviated from my predictions. (っ º – º ς)]
Amare’s fists clenched.
There was something off about those messages.
Her instincts warned her of tremendous danger as she felt the attention of an unfathomable being converge on her from afar. A sentient mind that was astronomically beyond anything she could even parse.
It was distinctly non-human.
Her instincts sensed a cold, inhuman superintelligence that studied her with clinical processing. The cutesy emotes that it deployed in its text messages contrasted sharply with the horrifying sense of being watched by a supreme mind.
[Oh well. I suppose there’s no choice now.]
Amare felt chills crawl across her skin.
[Don’t kill her.]
The air tingled with peril.
[Bring her back to me alive. ⌓‿⌓]
Amare’s expression grew grim.
[It will be fun to see what kind of expression Rui Quarrier makes when we use her against him. ദ്ദി◝ ⩊ ◜.ᐟ]
“Understood.” Transentia’s crystalline eyes sparkled with power as her body began to shine and glow with power.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as the brightness of the light emanating from her body exceeded that of the sun, as the singularity at the very center of her body began to convert a tremendous amount of matter from the environment into energy.
Because the black hole constantly needed to be fed with energy, it meant that as long as she had access to any kind of matter, she could generate energy.
And given that she was surrounded by the atmosphere and the ocean, it meant that she could generate virtually infinite energy.
Her stamina was endless.
“This is the power of the Technology Path,” Transentia growled with an ethereal reverberation as she unleashed a tsunami of quantum gravitational tweezers at Amare, threatening to reduce the entirety of her body to sub-atomic confetti.
WHOOSH!
Amare’s amber eyes sharpened as she leaped away, evading the attack with a grim expression.
CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!
The tweezers left a path of lightning and plasma in their wake as there tore molecules in the air and water into atoms, before stripping atoms of their electrons and reducing them to plasma.
Matter itself seemed to melt into a goopy energy the very moment they were touched by the dangerous quantum gravitational tweezers.
