Chapter 3313: Commencing Manhunt
Chapter 3313: Commencing Manhunt
’No!’ Her tone was one of horror. ’No! Stop! Anything but that! We will halt our assault on you and let you go! Please stop!’
And yet, it didn’t matter.
It didn’t matter what she offered to him.
She could offer the world and he would still kill her.
He had already decided on her death, and there was nothing that could protect her from what was to come.
’Stop! I will share with you our highest level of nature manipulation! I will show the secrets that not even dark elves know about! We will give you our Dyson Sphere biotechnology! It is the best out of any of the great civilizations of the true world!’
She pleaded with desperation.
With a frenzied horror in her tone.
And yet, Rui didn’t so much as even stir at her words.
The blood-red Suns in his eyes remained fixed on her impassively.
They didn’t so much as even change a shade.
When it was time, he didn’t even hesitate plunging the gu poison into her body.
SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!
The great poison infiltrated her body as it immediately spread with a violent greed, consuming her very life force with its voracious appetite.
’ARGGHHHH!!!’ she howled with pain and despair as the poison coursed across her body, turning her into a pitch-black tree from head to toe.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as the tree struggled to deal with the destructive, deathly poison that ravaged her entire body, causing great damage to her tissue as they were entirely snuffed of their life.
The poison leaped with joy and delight as it delighted in consuming a being with such life and vitality. Despite her grave condition from Rui’s attacks, she had still been brimming with vigor and energy and would have recovered before long had Rui decided to leave her alone.
And yet, her luck had run out.
Rui had no intention of sparing someone he had resolved to kill. Someone who has painstakingly planned to ambush and annihilate him when he was just minding his own business on the other side of the supercontinent.
“Rghhhh! This damn poison of death!’ she gritted her teeth. ’If you kill me here, the light elves will never forget this! We will never forgive you! You will always be our greatest enemy! We will even vow not to destroy at all costs, no matter what! This is your fate if you choose to do this!’
Rui’s smile merely deepened at these words.
“Bring it on.”
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook as even the Mother of Nature thrashed about, struggling to survive.
And yet, sure enough, it wasn’t long before her resistance began fading.
Her voice in his head began fading.
Within a minute, the job was done.
A tree with roots that dwarfed an entire mountain range had been entirely snuffed of every ounce of life.
Her entire body had been turned pitch black as the gu multiplied with a ferocious aggression.
It was over.
Rui found himself in silence soon enough.
He opened his arms as he restored the gu to his body. The deathly poison, half-liquid and half-gaseous, swiftly evacuated the corpse of the Mother of Nature as he regained the powerful, deathly poison.
It had grown much stronger than it was before.
He directed one last glance at the dead Mother of Nature, before turning away from her.
“Now then…”
He snapped his finger as he unleashed the domain, returning to the rest of the battlefield.
He could instantly detect the presence of the remaining Mothers of Nature.
He could sense their attention.
Their anxiety.
And their shock and horror at what was left of Mother Mara.
’Sister Mara…? What… what have you done to her?’ The shaking voice of one of the Mothers of Nature reached him.
’She’s dead! I can’t sense any life in her body!’
’You monster! How could you kill a Mother of Nature! Do you have any idea how precious we are? What we do for nature?!”
’Mark my words. You will not escape this continent today!’
Unfortunately for her, that was exactly what Rui intended to do.
Having successfully killed the leader of the operation to ambush and kill him, his attention shifted. The battle was as good as won as far as he was concerned; his primary goal was to simply get out of the continent before he ran out of stamina and before his mind strained too much.
WHOOSH!
He launched into a sprint as he shot off towards West Genora.
He could use Worm Step to teleport, of course. However, the further away the distance, the more time and energy he needed. While he could teleport over short distances quite quickly, he was too vulnerable in this situation to directly teleport to West Genora.
’Which means I will have to manually travel back.’ His shining eyes sharpened. ’Fighting the entire way will be to my disadvantage because they will be able to impede me easily with their dominant environmental advantage on this continent. I will have to turn my Embodiment off for the time being and try to make a getaway.’
He also needed to avoid genociding the dark elves and the humans. He didn’t really care all too much about anybody else, but his Martial Embodiment was simply too powerful when amplified by Gigabrain.
Although at that distance, the intensity would likely not kill any human, merely leaving them with some psychological distress.
’Where do you think you’re going?!’
’Attack him! Stop him from escaping!’
’Punish him for what he did to Sister Mara!’
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook violently as East Genoran Elven Civilization began a manhunt to kill Rui before he escaped East Genora, as each and every single Mother of Nature partook in the operation, unleashing power from across East Genora to hunt him down.
The death of a Mother of Nature in the middle of East Genora at the heart of their territory in an ambush and environment meant to work in their favor had shocked each and every single other Mother of Nature and light elf that came to learn of the horrifying event.
