Chapter 3310: Sustained Advantage
Chapter 3310: Sustained Advantage
Of course, Mother Mara had no intention of dying that day.
She also had no intention of letting him live.
While Rui had exceeded even their wildest imagination insofar as the difficult of killing him, she knew that it was not impossible, especially as the morning Sun continuously headed towards the very center of the sky, allowing their dyson sphere to beam them even more light and energy.
’If anybody is dying, demon, it is you.’
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook as she mobilized power, weaponizing the forests around her to attack her opponent. In the blink of an eye, Rui found himself in front of countless branch attacks converging on him from all directions.
“I’ve gotten bored of this.”
The gu surged from within his body as he manipulated it into fine threads, turning into a piercing web that cleanly allowed him to dice incoming attacks with perfect precision and accuracy.
The moment the gu touched the wood, rather than going wild and consuming the entirety of the biomatter, it only consumed it across the lines that Rui wanted it to, allowing him to swiftly dismantle all explosives in the blink of an eye.
If the Mother of Nature wanted it to hurt him, she would have to detonate it even further away from him.
However, the further away she detonated it, the less impactful it would be.
’On top of that, he has an invintium armor out of nowhere somehow.’ Her frustration only kept rising. ’If detonating explosives don’t work, then I will have to rely on ordinary projectiles with great kinetic energy. That deathly poison of his will then be rendered useless.’
The gu could only snuff life; it couldn’t do anything about the kinetic energy.
Rui paused as the nature of attacks shifted from explosive to pure kinetic projectiles with tremendous power. With his invintium armor, however, his durability and toughness had reached extraordinary levels.
And yet, the sheer amounts of energy that the Mothers of Nature of could bring about were so great that he not even an invintium armor, especially a thin one, would be able to protect him from the destructive onslaught fueled by a continent worth of resources and a dyson sphere.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as the forests turned into organic railguns, firing extraordinarily heavy projectiles at extraordinary speeds.
WHOOSH
Rui shifted his head, narrowly evading a wood projectile moving at speeds that beggared the imagination, only to find himself face-to-face with a series of giant spinning leaves with razor-sharp edges threatening to cut him alive.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!
His palms redirected them smoothly before flying to guard him from a destructively powerful branch attack.
BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
The invintium amor on his body rang as the tremendous impact strained the metal, but failed to break it while Rui used Body of Water and Flux Earther to ameliorate the transmitted impact.
WHOOSH!
He crouched, evading a blindingly fast vine that threatened to cleave him in half with raw force alone, before zig-zagging through several carnivorous plants threatening to eat him alive.
SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!
His hands turned pitch-black, turning into arcs of death and destruction as he effortlessly sliced them into pieces, only to find himself face to face with more than a billion different leaves converging upon him all at once.
Each leaf was armed with an invintium edge, possessing the ability to pierce his armor.
Each leaf was launched at extraordinarily high speeds, possessing more than enough pressure to cleave through any attack he put upon them.
An impossible onslaught to survive.
And yet—
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!!!
Rui coursed through them, extracting the one out of virtually infinite possible courses of action that he could have chosen.
He chose to correct one.
WHOOSH!
He emerged from the attack entirely unscathed.
The blood-red Suns in his eyes remained fixated on Mother Mara even as she and her sisters flung millions, billions, and trillions of projectiles at Rui. Each wave of attacks they threw at him was incredibly dense, turning the sky pitch-black with all the light they blocked.
It was impossible to avoid.
Impossible to defend against.
And yet—
WHOOSH!
Rui emerged from each wave of attacks with absolute perfection.
He didn’t have so much as a single scratch on him.
The combination of Gigabrain empowering the Prophecy of the Void and the Soul of Nature provided him with too much insight and foresight into the attacks that were to come.
Not only did he long foresee each and every attack exactly where it was, he had more than enough time to analyze and figure out the best course of action, picking the one out of quadrillion possible futures where he emerged unscathed.
He did this over and over and over again.
An onslaught of attacks that the Mothers of Nature simply assumed that nobody could possibly survive, Rui emerged unfazed. A flood of roots surged from beneath him in the sky, winding about him as they threatened to capture him where he stood.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
With a single blow, he blasted out of the rapidly formed cage, only to find himself face to face with a surprise explosive wood missile.
BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
Mother Mara had not completely sealed away the attack; instead, she reserved it for the time that she could use it to kill him once and for all.
’The stamina advantage is still with me,’ she coldly mused. ’If he tries escaping from this place, we can hold him back with a raw offensive in the opposite direction, boxing him in this place. If he tries using teleportation, then I should be able to stop it in time this time since I’m looking out for it.’
Not to mention, the longer the distance, the more exponentially energy and time-consuming a teleportation maneuver was.
She would never allow him to actually teleport out of East Genora all by himself.
While his ability was unfathomably impressive, the Mother of Nature retained her calm and composure, understanding that the overall advantage was still with her.
They had managed to wound him tremendously and almost kill him.
He had yet to inflict even a scratch on his primary enemies.
