The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast
Chapter 1935: Are You Trying to Provoke Him?
Hua Jinyan kept a stern face, his voice authoritative: "Are you sure you haven’t mistaken?"
Ghost instinctively felt Hua Jinyan was very dangerous and shrunk his neck: "No, definitely not mistaken!"
"Was he still delivering meals before anything happened to you?" Hua Jinyan asked.
"I’m number 103. About five days before anything happened to me, it wasn’t him delivering anymore. I thought he had changed jobs. Now that I see him like this, I think he must have died about five days before me."
"What else do you know?"
"We’ve already said everything we know, there’s really nothing more to say."
"Where did you gamble away your lives in the end?"
"It was on a cruise ship, sailing on the high seas. We didn’t even know which country it counted as."
Ghost Enforcer Uncle urged: "Two more minutes, and I’ll have to take them away."
Hua Jinyan nodded: "Take them away then, there’s nothing more to ask."
Since Uncle Tie was arranged to investigate the laboratory, and successfully infiltrated it to become a meal deliverer to the test subjects, Uncle Tie must have gotten far more information than these two Ghosts, so Uncle Tie’s superior must have more data.
"Who was Uncle Tie’s superior on this mission?" Hua Jinyan asked Lu Yuan.
Lu Yuan lowered his eyes: "He’s one of the suspects I have."
"You mean one of the suspects of being a traitor?" Little Taotie eagerly asked: "Is there really a traitor? But Uncle Tie is truly dead, and that corpse is indeed Uncle Tie’s."
"Even if their judgment is correct, it’s too hasty." Lu Yuan shook his head: "It’s unlike their usual style, there must be a big issue here."
"If it really was the head transplant surgery that caused Uncle Tie to lose his mind, then... has Uncle Tie’s head already been transplanted onto someone else’s body?" Little Taotie posed a difficult question to answer.
Hua Jinyan and Lu Yuan both fell silent.
The Ghost Enforcer Uncle who escorted the Ghosts back returned. Seeing the atmosphere was off, he softly asked Little Taotie: "What’s up with those two?"
Little Taotie tilted his head: "I can’t figure it out either. I just asked one question, and they went silent."
"What question?"
"I suspect Uncle Tie’s head was put on someone else’s body. The experiment might have succeeded; that person didn’t die but fell into a coma, so Uncle Tie ended up like this, losing his head and looking all absent-minded."
Fortunately, Uncle Tie seemed to subconsciously recognize her and Hua Jinyan, or subconsciously wanted to protect them from harm. Although he had become the Ghost King, he only roared at them without any substantial attack.
Little Taotie courageously approached Uncle Tie, placing her small hand on the back of his hand and patting it: "Uncle Tie, you need to get better soon. Actually, becoming the Ghost King isn’t so bad. You can live in my Horse-Faced Bell like Feng Qi. Wake up soon, then we can go find your sister Tie Yuting together."
The previously calm Uncle Tie suddenly became furious, once again roaring, but his eyes carried a sense of urgency.
"Uncle Tie, did you understand what I said? Are you anxious to find your sister?"
"Roar, roar, roar—"
Uncle Tie pounded his chest like a gorilla, extremely agitated.
Hua Jinyan was afraid he might hurt Little Taotie, so he quickly shielded Little Taotie behind him.
Hua Jinyan: "Uncle Tie, do you know where the person who hurt you is? Maybe retrieving your head can restore your sanity. Your sister doesn’t want to see you like this, mindless like a chimpanzee."
"Roar, roar, roar—"
Ghost Enforcer Uncle was at a loss, and grudgingly said: "Are you trying to provoke him?"
