The heroes want to kill me
Chapter 59: Applause for a kill
Lupingo saw the good Samaritan that helped the hero. He was refusing to leave him alone. His hand was on the man’s body, sending a message that he’s behind him.
I just looked at him silently. I can’t blame him, because people will find it hard to believe what I am saying against the hero. But I came fully prepared. You see, if a door refuses to open, break it down completely. A very simple solution.
So I just have to blast them with enough proof. Proof that will shoot down all their fantasy straight down.
"Everyone, everyone, I know what you are feeling, but if you just take a moment out of your time to listen to the words I am going to say, everything will become clear to you.
"As you all know that I am a villain. I can do this the forceful way, which is the easy way, and the explanatory way, which is the hard way.
"You see, I am a man that loves to give people the reign to do what they want, so I would tell you what I truly meant by the easy way. As you all know, I haven’t killed any innocent bystander, or person at all. But that’s all because no innocent bystander stood in the way of my justice. But if I still explain my reason, and calmly blast you with proof, and any innocent bystander stands in my way, don’t say I didn’t give any warning."
Lupingo said and continued with that same voice that felt like he was reading from a book, like he has something more better to do than what he was currently doing.
"The easy part is simple. I will kill every one that tries to block me from our dear hero. If all of you add yourself to it, then you would gladly join him in death. It’s that simple.
"The hard way, which I don’t really want to do, but I will do it to keep my reputation, is simple. I will explain everything to you easily. I will explain the why our dear hero deserves death. And anybody that dares to stop me to say that I should leave it to the law, well, you all know the answer."
Everybody there felt a chill. They regretted not running away earlier when they had the chance. But even with the words from Lupingo’s mouth, they were still very interested in the present drama.
Some of them have been starved from drama for too long. Although there is always a villain fighting like three times a day, all those fights always end fast. And most of the outcomes are the heroes always winning against the villains.
The ones where the villain always wins are in the big cities, or the big towns. So it’s rare to see a villain winning a fight against a hero, even though the fight feels wrong somehow.
Some of them do not even care who is right or wrong. They just want the drama.
"So everyone, now that I have said my piece, if you know that you won’t be able to stop yourself from being the young justice, please kindly leave. It’s for your sake."
Lupingo said while also looking at them to see if any of them would go.
Lupingo then sighed 😔 and then said,
"Okay, so I will start my explanation. Our dear hero right there is something known as the trash of the century. You may be wondering why I called him the trash of the century.
"He stole billions of life from the homeless. He turned them homeless. He sold them out to organ traffickers. Steal money from rich and poor. He is even in cooperation with villains from other countries! So will you say I should spare a man with this large amount of crime and blood on his hands? Or maybe I should spare him, spare him so he can kill your family, your friends, your son, your daughter, your husband, your wife, and your parents, all because they crossed his path without kissing the ground he walked on.
"So dear citizens, should I kill him now, or do you still want evidence that won’t change anything?"
"Kill him."
"Show us evidence first."
"Kill him."
"Show us evidence first."
He could hear two sides. Although the majority are asking for him to be killed, he still has to listen to the little guy.
"This is the scene of his recent dealing with some people," Lupingo said.
He brought out a hologram phone that projected the scene to the people.
The scene was in a warehouse, where the culprit, which is our hero, could be seen talking to some people whose faces were blurred. They were talking about some cargo that arrived. He told them to properly inspect the cargo, so there wouldn’t be any mishap in the placement.
The next scene was what they call the cargo. The content they call cargo could be seen in the projection. Girls and women of different ages could be seen huddled together in a large container. They were jam-packed inside like cattle to be reared. The scene in the projection was terrible. The projection continued to play, and by the time it was over, some of them were only seeing red. And the only color red they are seeing is their beloved hero.
Lupingo, seeing this scene, couldn’t help but smile at his work. He thoroughly blasted them with proof, and now they are seeing red. He almost patted himself on his back.
"So now, should I kill h—"
Before he could complete his statement, he was already hearing statements like "Kill him," "Rip his head off," "Tear him limb to limb," and all that.
He was now feeling that these citizens are more extreme than him. They don’t have basic etiquette in the art of killing.
"Mr. Hero, I know you are also hearing what they are saying, and I am sure that I am not the only one hearing it."
"People, don’t believe him! The video is fake! Can’t you see it? It’s all lies! Don’t believe him! He is only a villain! And now look at him trying to deceive your eyes. He is turning you to the wrong side. Open your eyes and see the right—"
Before he could continue, he was stoned on his head with something. Someone then said,
"Shut up your mouth and just die."
Lupingo saw this and said,
"No, no, do not dirty your hands. There is no need for all that. After all, I am here. You don’t need to stress yourself. Your favorite Lupingo will sort it all out."
The Incorporeal Hero saw that no one was looking at him with sympathy, or giving him the look of a hero anymore. He quickly changed his tune.
"Lupingo, please, just this time, please have mercy on me. It’s the devil’s deed. It’s not my fault. I was compelled to do it, and now my eyes have opened and I can now see the truth."
"Don’t worry, I understand. I really understand. It’s just this time, right? I should really save you. I should not kill you. I really understand."
The Incorporeal Hero felt happy. He felt that if he survived this, he would immediately leave this country to another country, and go completely hidden. He already has enough money to last him generations in his hands.
He has already started counting out his retirement plan, on what he will do, the food he will eat, the girls he will sleep with, and the kind of party he will throw. He has started listing them out. But before his plan could fully settle, he felt a gun nozzle on his head.
"I am truly sorry, Incorporeal, but it has passed my hand. I truly want to follow you, but the people have decided already. So just take this and be on your way."
Immediately Lupingo’s words finished, the Incorporeal Hero wanted to speak his own piece, but before he could even start, he heard a bang sound, and felt the bullet piercing his skull to his brain. And that was the end.
The last memory the Incorporeal had was the feeling of the bullet piercing his skull to his brain.
---
The Incorporeal Hero died from a gunshot to his brain.
After he died, some of the people around us began to clap, while some of them continued to look at the body like they were angry he died in my hand.
Their hands were twitching like it would have been better if I had given them the reign to deal with him.
I don’t know how to respond to their emotions, so I just responded to the ones who were clapping.
I thanked them, over and over again, yet the clapping didn’t want to stop. It was like they were stuck in a trance or something. I don’t know. But I know that I can’t be thanking them for too long. They’ve got to stop, or I will have to stop them.
I chose to stop them with a cold water I am sure will gladly wake them up.
"If you don’t stop, you would all join your hero."
As soon as I said that, all of them woke up from their trance, and they somehow became alert again. It was like they have forgotten my profession.
I don’t really understand why I received a standing ovation for the killing of a hero who they formerly loved, by the way.
Like, someone with a normal wavelength won’t clap at that kind of scene, even if they are drama-deprived.
It was like they enjoyed the live execution. Well, that explains it. They are so used to seeing the live execution of villains, so it’s somehow like a normal thing for them to see. But now that it was the hero being killed live, they couldn’t help but clap for me. After all, it’s a new thing, and they enjoyed it in some kind of way.
