Chapter 30: strange encounter

‎Harry went on a one week trip to Ariadne home. when he arrived he was welcomed with warm and loving hands by all of them, including Ariadne.

‎she came with a smile but I can see there is something wrong with her smile. The smile is not the normal smile, the smile gave a feeling of hope like she was hoping for something. her eyes that looks lively gave the feeling of exhaustion.

‎after all the greeting I was welcomed into the guest room, the place where I would stay during my visitation. after arranging myself I was called after some time for food. I was served in a spectacular manner.

‎i always tell my aunty that we are family that she don’t need to stress herself anytime I visit, but I guess my word enter one ear and come out from another. she doesn’t listen to me at all, I guess this is something we can’t have an agreement on, and I have learn to accept it.

‎The meal was sublime like always. after the meal after some resting I decided to talk to Ariadne, so I went towards her room. I reached her room door which as a sticker logo that says "Danger, No trespassers.

‎I almost laugh because that is so like her, a party girl with a very secretive side. I knocked on her door, but I didn’t received any reply at first, so I thought she wasn’t in the room, I wanted to be leaving to my own room because if she is not here, there is no point in waiting. As I turned about to leave her door opened, she came out from her room and then said.

‎"do you need anything.

‎"yes, I need to discuss something with you, we need to hangout. you are being reclusive and that’s not you. "I said.

‎"okay, let’s talk. "she said.

‎i asked her that can we talk in her room that the conversation will be inappropriate to be said In the corridor, that it would be more safer and private in her room.

‎she looked at me and said she was tired, I accused her that she agreed to the conversation, she said she forgot she was tired.

‎i stand out there for like 5 seconds before I finally came to a conclusion, she must be very tired I thought in my mind.

‎As I indulge in my pet peeve, I saw a shadow moving away from my door area, I waited for like 10 seconds I then opened my door, I saw the back of Ariadne, she was dressed in her night ware, I followed her sneakily to see what she was doing. her mother said she always leave early in the morning to go and do somethings.

But the problem is that we are not at early In the morning yet. The time state 11:30 as of right now, and I am very sure 11:30 doesn’t count as early in the morning yet. in my mind i was thinking that was she always going out at this time when all of them have gone to sleep, then arrive in the midnight then go out again early in the morning.

‎I don’t even know yet, I am just guessing. so I followed her, she went towards the kitchen, I choose not to follow her towards the kitchen, so I remain hidden in a area where I can see the kitchen entrance.

‎she came out from the kitchen holding a water bottle, she then went outside the house, I did not follow her, I choose to observe first then act later.

‎But I wanted in the sitting room, I did not go back to my room, i waited for her to come back. but while I was waiting my mind was busy analysing.

‎was Ariadne in danger? why is she going out in the night? is somebody threatening her. my mind was busy with different thoughts but I didn’t let it control me, she later arrived around 4 in the morning. her cloth still looked pristine but her face and hair was covered in dirt.

‎i don’t understand how that can even be possible, while is her face and her shoes covered in dirt but her clothes still remain pristine. what could Ariadne be doing out there in the middle of the night that can cause this kind of strange reaction.

‎i came out from my hiding place, I showed myself to her, but before I can even put any word in she said.

‎"Just needed some air," she said before Elara could even ask. "Couldn’t sleep."

‎i found her excuse funny and childish so I countered it immediately.

‎"if you truly went out for some fresh air why did you take 5 hours, and don’t tell me you use 5 hours for your air, and why is your face and your air covered in dirt and mud.

‎"hmmm, about that, that’s a different story entirely, but that would take a long time to explain, can’t we do it in the morning or in the afternoon, since we have already decided to have a conversation today, why don’t we add this one to it. "she said.
