The Game of Global Mining
Chapter 1033 - 859: Capture
Chapter 1033: Chapter 859: Capture
Gabriel said gleefully, "See? This is my woman’s intuition hitting dead on. Way better than that electro-shock foaming guy."
Raphael coughed dryly. "Foam’s not just coming out of his mouth, you know..."
Metatron exclaimed, "Don’t change the subject—what am I supposed to do then?"
Michael said, "Obviously, deny everything!"
Metatron closed the book. "Your Honor, I really didn’t do it!"
The judge said in a deep voice, "Then you will not be found guilty."
Metatron said with rock‑solid conviction, "Even though I’m super jealous of these merits, I really didn’t do any of it."
The judge said in a low voice, "Looks like the evidence is insufficient. The trial will be postponed."
Metatron panicked. "Postponed until when?"
The judge waved his hand. "Until there’s further development in the case."
With that, Metatron was pushed out of the white hall and shoved back into the little black room.
Metatron was about to lose it. "This has to be the Alpha Curry crew secretly opening a back door, right?"
Sariel also snapped, "I think so too. Let’s expel a few more Curry People to vent some anger, yeah?"
Michael was completely out of ideas as well. "Steward, arrange for people to check the accounts below again and deal with a few Curry People."
The steward: "Roger."
Anyway, even though he’d been locked in the little black room, Metatron was drenched in cold sweat and secretly rejoicing that he’d dodged that bullet. "So I really don’t get a turnaround at all, huh?"
Gabriel laughed. "Just send Sela to the consort selection! Maybe by then she can bail you out."
Metatron said irritably, "By the time she gets picked, I won’t even know how many days I’ve been locked up."
Gabriel chuckled, "Samuel, why are you so quiet? Consort selection, you know!"
Samuel sounded completely exhausted. "Actually, you could go too. I’m flying back to the city, finding an inn, and crashing."
Gabriel said with a grin, "You’re flying pretty fast, huh? You’ve overdrafted your Physical Strength?"
Raphael sighed, "That’s not a rocket flying, that’s heart‑broken sorrow doing the boost..."
Samuel snapped, "You two Bitches, shut up!"
Raphael was delighted. "Ah, I got called a Bitch. That’s a real mark of recognition for me..."
...
Blood Sand City.
Even though it was a remote desert border city of the Empire, once night fell the lights still made the place shine like a night‑glowing pearl in the sands.
A high‑speed meteor streaked down and vanished.
Samuel slipped into the city in disguise. Once night came, the little beggars in town would swarm out, trailing strange travelers all the way, begging for money.
Samuel hated these little beggars the most. No matter how perfect his disguise, they could instantly tell he wasn’t local. And according to proper攻略, you couldn’t just hand out money, or more and more beggars would flock over. But if you didn’t give them anything, they’d keep following you. In short, there was always a long string of them hanging off his back.
So this is the Curry slum, huh. The boss really should expel a few more Curry People.
Samuel was already in a lousy mood; irritation stacked on irritation until he simply flung a handful of Coins into the air behind him. Only then did the pack of little beggars finally let him go and pile up together to scramble for the money.
Anyway, as long as he shook them off.
Reaching an inn, Samuel asked for a room.
At the instant the door opened, the screen flared crimson, and a mesh of magic light shot straight at his face!
Samuel was so exhausted he had zero time to react—he was netted on the spot and yanked forward before he could even hit the floor. A Black Robe Mage Instant Teleportation’d to his side and slammed him down with a thud!
A black sack went over his head, the world went dark, and his whole body couldn’t move at all!
"Wanted criminal Samuel, you are under arrest!"
——System Prompt: Warning! You have been captured by an Imperial Spy. You are about to face trial and imprisonment.
Samuel’s drowsiness was scared right out of him; he was stunned beyond belief. "Guys, I’ve been nabbed! Right at the inn door!"
The Ten Lords were in disbelief. "How did that happen?"
Michael blurted, "Can you escape?"
Samuel said helplessly, "I handed all my Attack Divine Artifacts to Sela. I rushed back just to sleep; my Physical Strength and Mana are both tapped out..."
Gabriel was dumbfounded. "For a Spy to lie in ambush at an inn entrance, this is definitely not a spur‑of‑the‑moment grab. It means they’ve been preparing for some time already."
Samuel gasped, "So that means, ever since I was tailing Chun, they’d already been trailing me?"
Raphael exclaimed, "Has to be! Gem City’s Magic Mirror surveillance system can filter and lock onto you too!"
Samuel panicked. "Then what do I do?"
Michael said gloomily, "You’re too tired. Just log off and get some sleep. Once you’re offline, the NPCs won’t be able to put you on trial."
Samuel’s mood was beyond words. "Forget it. Looks like I’ll at least be locked up for days, just like Mei. On the Dark Faction side we’ll only be able to rely on Sela and Uriel now..."
The Ten Lords Chat Group went dead silent, leaving only Sela’s heavy breathing...
...
a.m., Chun was awakened by Aileen’s cheering. "We’re here!"
Unknowingly, he’d caught up on three hours of sleep, and his whole body felt full and comfy again.
He looked at the screen; he’d drunk so much the entire display was a blur of rainbow colors, totally unreadable. But on the mini‑map was Aileen’s Radar, which had clearly detected that the ruins of the Holy Mechanical City lay just ahead.
Pretty fast!
Then he saw a row of system messages:
——Yatnass 2.02 Plus+ Version Prompt: With your Wood Series constitution, your Yatnass Forest Wine Goddess form has successfully extracted the thousand‑year plant essences from the wine and converted them into "Sweet Spring" within the Dream Forest Divine Domain. Your Alcohol Capacity +10.

——Erudite Scholar Profession Prompt: Your Archaeology Technique has advanced to Grandmaster Level. Your Erudite Scholar Profession experience has greatly increased, and your "Conversion Wisdom" skill can be activated again.
...
Chun was honestly dazzled by all the pleasant surprises. Sweet Spring!? Holy Shit, I finally trained up my arena skill! Sure enough, Thousand-year-old Wine works like one bottle equals a hundred!
And Aileen’s been pounding away like a pile driver and somehow gained Favorability too? She’s clearly a player in disguise though, isn’t she?
But wait!
Staring at the line below, Chun could hardly believe it—Samuel actually got caught by Moss? Holy Shit, Moss really is a man of his word. How the hell did he pull that off?
Also, Yatnass is already up to version 2.02? And that’s all from drinking?
Just then, Aileen laughed. "Darling, Liya’s Clone has successfully infiltrated, you know!"
