Chapter 129: Chapter 129: monsters growth 1

Ronan waited until night before leaving the camp again.

This time, he didn’t bother searching for King Realm beasts.

He had already spent enough time searching for them, and every time he found one, someone else was already fighting it.

It was honestly annoying.

But there was no reason for him to remain stubborn.

If he couldn’t find King Realm beasts, then he would find another way to become stronger.

And right now, there were more than a thousand humans inside the camp.

Ronan wasn’t planning to attack everyone.

He only needed those who were strong enough.

"Five-Star Sovereign Realm..."

Ronan muttered as he moved through the forest.

That was his current target.

He was already at the Seven-Star Sovereign Realm, but his strength wasn’t as simple as his realm suggested. With his traits, abilities, regeneration, and especially Annihilation Force, he could fight above his realm.

But that didn’t mean he could become careless.

The stronger the person he killed, the greater the chance of obtaining something useful.

A new trait.

A new ability.

Or perhaps another ability that could push his strength even further.

Ronan moved silently through the forest as his senses spread around him.

He could feel several auras.

Most were weak.

One-Star Sovereign.

Two-Star.

Three-Star.

There were even a few Four-Star Sovereign Realm beings.

But none of them were alone.

Some were moving in groups while others were fighting beasts.

Ronan continued searching.

After nearly an hour, he finally stopped.

"Found one."

Several hundred meters away, a man was fighting a King Realm beast.

Ronan’s eyes narrowed.

The man was alone.

His aura was also weaker than Ronan’s, but there was something strange about his movements.

He was clearly stronger than an ordinary Five-Star Sovereign.

Ronan didn’t immediately attack.

Instead, he watched.

The man was fighting a One-Star King Realm beast, but he wasn’t trying to kill it quickly. He was continuously dodging while attacking its weaker areas.

Every attack was precise.

He seemed to be waiting for something.

Ronan watched for several minutes before understanding.

"He wants the points."

The man wasn’t trying to kill the beast immediately because he was trying to minimize damage and secure the kill for himself.

Ronan couldn’t help but smile.

Everyone here was becoming more desperate.

The tournament had only been announced recently, yet everyone was already fighting like their lives depended on it.

Actually...

Their lives did depend on it.

The man finally found an opening and launched his strongest attack.

Boom!

The King Realm beast’s head exploded.

The man landed on the ground and immediately took out a bottle of water.

Ronan appeared behind him.

"You’re quite strong."

The man’s body stiffened.

He immediately turned around.

"You..."

Before he could finish speaking, Ronan punched him.

Bang!

The man’s body was sent flying through several trees.

He quickly stabilized himself and stared at Ronan with disbelief.

"Seven-Star Sovereign?"

Ronan smiled.

"You noticed."

The man’s expression became serious.

He didn’t hesitate as he rushed forward.

His fist collided with Ronan’s.

Boom!

The impact caused the surrounding trees to shake.

Ronan’s body moved backward several meters.

The man’s expression changed.

"You’re stronger than your realm."

Ronan didn’t answer.

He simply rushed forward.

The battle quickly became intense.

The man’s combat ability was much higher than his realm, and his movements were extremely refined. Every attack targeted Ronan’s vital areas, forcing him to constantly defend.

Ronan took a punch to the chest.

Crack!

Several ribs broke.

He immediately recovered.

The man’s eyes widened.

"What kind of regeneration..."

Ronan grabbed his arm and slammed him into the ground.

Boom!

The ground cracked.

The man quickly escaped, but Ronan was already behind him.

Bang!

Another punch landed.

The man spat blood as his body flew backward.

He immediately realized that he couldn’t win through a direct confrontation.

He turned and tried to escape.

Ronan’s eyes narrowed.

"You think I’ll let you leave?"

He chased after him.

The man’s speed was extremely fast, but Ronan was faster.

Within seconds, Ronan caught up.

The man turned around and launched another attack.

Ronan dodged it.

His destructive power began accumulating.

He had no intention of wasting time.

The man noticed the purple energy gathering around Ronan’s fist and his expression changed.

"What is that?"

Ronan didn’t answer.

"Annihilation Force."

Bang!

His fist struck the man’s chest.

The destructive force erupted.

The man’s body was thrown backward, blood pouring from his mouth.

He crashed into the ground and didn’t move again.

Ronan landed beside him.

He looked at the corpse for several seconds before shaking his head.

"Not bad."

He didn’t feel particularly excited.

The man was strong, but not strong enough to surprise him.

Ronan reached down and searched the man’s body.

There were several points stored on his wrist.

A little over one hundred.

There were also some bottles of water and food.

Ronan looked at them before taking the points.

He didn’t need the food or water.

He simply left them behind.

Then he looked at the corpse.

"Let’s see if humans are worth hunting after all."

Ronan opened his mouth.

His crimson eyes glowed as his fangs extended.

He began drinking the man’s blood.

Several minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

Ronan frowned.

"No trait?"

He continued.

Still nothing.

Eventually, only the corpse remained.

Ronan sighed.

"So it’s not that easy."

He had already experienced this before when he consumed the three geniuses.

Humans were one race.

But not every human would give him the Human racial trait.

That meant he needed to keep searching.

Ronan stood up and looked toward the deeper forest.

"At least I got the points."

He disappeared into the darkness.

That night, Ronan killed two more humans.

One was a Two-Star Sovereign.

The other was a Four-Star Sovereign.

Neither gave him a new trait.

But Ronan wasn’t discouraged.

There were too many humans in this place.

Eventually, he would find something useful.

Meanwhile, on another part of the island, Eve and Joy were also moving through the forest.

The two women were much more careful than before.

They didn’t attack everyone they encountered.

Instead, they searched for people who had already been injured in battles.

"Over there."

Eve stopped.

Joy looked in the direction she was pointing.

Two people were fighting a King Realm beast.

One of them had already lost an arm.

The other was covered in blood and was barely standing.

Joy narrowed her eyes.

"Wait."

The two women watched silently.

The injured pair fought desperately, but their strength was clearly declining.

Eventually, the King Realm beast killed one of them.

The other was thrown to the ground.

Eve and Joy moved.

The injured man noticed them.

"You..."

He tried to stand as eve appeared in front of him.

Her hand pierced his chest and his body went limp.

Joy remained silent as she looked at the corpse while Eve lowered her head and drank the blood. Joy soon joined and drank from the corpse.

The moment the blood entered their bodies, both women felt their strength increase slightly.

Joy’s eyes narrowed.

"It really works."

Eve nodded.

"We should continue."

They didn’t stay there for long.

They took the points from the dead man and left before the King Realm beast could return.

Neither woman said anything about what they had done.

There was no need.

They both knew why they were doing this.

They wanted strength.

And if they wanted to survive the tournament, they couldn’t afford to remain weak.

Another week passed.

The camp continued changing.

More houses became occupied.

More people entered the main camp.

The number of participants continued to decrease, but the survivors were becoming stronger.

The top 200 rankings changed constantly.

Someone ranked 300 could kill a powerful beast and rise.

Someone ranked 100 could lose a battle and fall.

Some people even began challenging those above them directly.

The camp had become much more chaotic than before.

Everyone was preparing for the tournament.

Ronan returned to his cabin after another hunt.

He sat on his bed and looked at his wrist.

His points had increased.

Not by much.

But they were increasing.

His main goal wasn’t points anyway.

He needed traits.

Ronan opened his status.

Ronan stared at his status.

His strength had improved tremendously since entering the camp.

But somehow...

It still didn’t feel like enough.

He remembered the Mawbeast King. Even after obtaining Destruction Incarnate’s Second Evolution, he had only barely gained the ability to kill King Realm beings.

And the people ranked above him?

They were still growing.

Ronan smiled.

"One month..."

He lay back on the bed.

"Let’s see how strong everyone becomes by then."

He wasn’t afraid of the tournament.

He was looking forward to it after all, the more powerful people there were...

The more traits he could obtain.
