The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul
Chapter 128: The Difficult life of an Undead
Chapter 128: Chapter 128: The Difficult life of an Undead
The competition coming up in a month’s time was like a giant hammer hanging over their heads. They didn’t have time to relax or the luxury to rest, so everyone headed out of the camp, going deeper and deeper, their targets being the King Realm beasts.
Among them was Ronan.
His strength had improved fundamentally. Now he could actually kill King Realm beasts, and on top of that, he was already at the Seven-Star Sovereign Realm.
Knowing this, Ronan didn’t hesitate as he searched for One-Star King Realm beasts.
Of course, Ronan knew he wasn’t the only one growing stronger, but others were growing too.
At the very least, within the next few weeks, those who could kill King Realm beasts could expand to the top 50s or even more.
Bam!
Bam!
A loud noise was heard as Ronan narrowed his eyes. To the side was a giant beast walking, and the aura it released was without a doubt at the King Realm.
But just as Ronan was about to use the system to investigate...
Swiss!
An arrow flew by as it hit the beast’s body, piercing into its hill-like body.
Ronan froze as he felt multiple Sovereign Realm auras, as more than five people appeared.
It seemed this beast had been taken.
Ronan frowned, but he retreated. Instead of fighting over the beast with them, it would be better to find another. Besides, this was a Three-Star King Realm beast, way out of his league.
Only...
Why did people keep stealing his King Realm beasts?
The first one was understandable. What about the second? Third?
Were these people injected with chicken blood? Why were they so excited for this?
Time passed slowly as Ronan became irritated, but alas, even when it got dark, none of them left. In fact, they hunted in the darkness as Ronan’s face twitched.
He had originally planned to hunt in the dark. He was a vampire and could see in the darkness, but it seemed he had underestimated the dedication these geniuses put into growing stronger.
Alas, the sun rose, and yet fights still went on as Ronan returned to the camp.
He lay on his bed, his head raised as he sighed.
"Life for an Undead is really difficult..." Ronan muttered with a bittersweet smile, feeling heartbroken.
In fact, at night, the number seemed to have increased, and even this morning, it was the same.
He walked as far as almost reaching the Supreme Realm beasts, yet he couldn’t meet a single King Realm beast alone. They had taken everything.
Now Ronan had two options. One, wait for some people to be killed or injured and leave the King Realm beasts alone while praying they were One-Star King Realm beasts.
Or two, he could go out after a while, since most of the King Realm beings stayed in the central region and only occasionally came out to the peripheral area.
Ronan felt defeated as he sighed. Alas, he chose the second one.
Tonight, he would try to go out, and this time, if he didn’t find a One-Star King Realm beast, he would switch his targets to humans.
One way or the other, he had to grow stronger.

Meanwhile, far away from the Monster Camp, on another continent...
The abyss
A massive black castle stood within a ruined mountain range.
The once magnificent castle had been reduced to ruins, with countless broken walls and shattered towers scattered across the land.
Blood covered the ground.
The corpses of vampires were everywhere.
The large ghoul army that had once guarded the castle had also been almost completely wiped out, leaving only scattered bones and bodies throughout the ruined territory.
At the center of the ruins stood a woman.
Her long hair was stained with blood, and her clothes were torn in several places. Her face was pale, and there were several deep wounds across her body.
The aura around her was that of a King Realm being.
Yet despite reaching the King Realm, she had been forced into this state.
Her name was Selvara.
She was the Female Vampire Lord who was after Ronan and also the owner of this castle.
She clenched her fists as she looked at the destroyed territory around her.
"Bastard Stupid human.."
Her voice was filled with hatred.
Everything had been taken from her, her vampires had been slaughtered and her once glorious peak strenght had been destroyed.
Her castle had been turned into nothing but ruins, infact a burial ground for corpses. Her once referred ghoul army reduced to nothing but past tales.
It had taken years to build yet it vanished overnight.
Even she had been injured so badly that she had barely managed to escape, her breath was weak and dragged out.
The person responsible was the mayor of that human city.
At least, that was what she believed.
Selvara had gone to the Abyss to find him after recovering enough from her injuries, but the journey had only made her hatred grow.
That human city had been destroyed.
The mayor had survived.
There was no way Selvara could accept this.
She had been searching for Ronan as well, but finding a single ghoul among an entire continent was almost impossible.
Yet she knew one thing.
A ghoul with that much opportunity couldn’t be ordinary.
If she could find him, perhaps she could use him to break through her current limits and reach the Vampire Ancestor bloodline.
Only when her bloodline reached the vampire Ancestor rank could she continue breaking through to the Supreme realm and beyond and when that happened...
She would return to that human city.
She would find the mayor.
And she would make him pay for everything he had taken from her.
But first, she needed to find Ronan and for that, she needed something.
Selvara left the ruins and traveled to the territory of another Vampire Lord.
The castle she entered was far smaller than her own had once been, but its defenses were much stronger.
A Green haired man sat on a throne inside, his fingers calmly tapping against the armrest as he looked at Selvara.
"You look terrible."
Selvara’s eyes narrowed as she spoke.
"I need something from you."
The Vampire Lord raised an eyebrow.
"Something from me?"
"A tracking treasure."
The man’s expression changed slightly.
"You want to track someone?"
"Yes."
"What do you have that belongs to them?"
Selvara reached into her storage and pulled out a small piece of cloth.
It was barely the size of a finger.
The Vampire Lord looked at it before smiling.
"That is enough."
Selvara’s eyes brightened.
"The treasure can track them with that?"
"As long as the fabric was worn by the person you are searching for, it can locate them. It doesn’t matter if you have a large piece or a single thread."
Selvara finally relaxed.
"Give it to me."
The Vampire Lord laughed.
"Do you think such a treasure is cheap?"
Selvara remained silent for a while her eyes narrowed. Of course she knew such treasure wouldn’t be free after all a treasure capable of locating someone regardless of where they were was something that could save a life or destroy one.
"What do you want?".., Selvara Finally asked.
Hearing this, the Vampire Lord leaned forward with a smile.
"Your Blood Moon Crystal."
Selvara’s expression instantly changed.
"No."
"Then leave."
Silence filled the hall.
The Blood Moon Crystal was one of the most valuable treasures she possessed.
It had taken her decades to obtain it, and she had originally planned to use it to strengthen her bloodline , at the very least it could give her bloodline a very slime hope of reaching the vampire Ancestor rank.
But right now, it didn’t seem to matter , as long as she gets Ronan , reaching rhe vampire Ancestor rank didn’t seem impossible.
After several moments of hesitation, Selvara clenched her teeth.
"Fine."
The Vampire Lord smiled.
"Deal."
The treasure was brought out soon after.
It was a strange black sphere covered in countless tiny runes. A thin strand of energy entered the piece of cloth Selvara had brought.
The sphere immediately began to glow.
Selvara stared at it.
For the first time since her castle had been destroyed, a smile appeared on her face.
She had finally found a way to locate him.
"Ghoul lord..."
Her fingers tightened around the piece of cloth.
"Let’s see where you are."
The treasure trembled slightly then a faint light appeared inside it.
Selvara’s smile widened, she didn’t know how long it would take more how strong Ronan had become but she knew she would find him and when she did, she would take everything she needed to become the Vampire Ancestor even if intent her draining Ronan or outright killing him.
Then she would return to that human city.
This time, she would be the one standing above everyone.
And the mayor who had destroyed everything she possessed would finally understand what it meant to anger a Vampire Lord.
