"Lord Erina, what do we do now?"

"Don’t panic, everything is under control."

Erina waved his hand; even with the earth shaking and mountains quaking, he still stood firmly.

"What about that woman’s investigation?"

The subordinate was already distressed and quickly said, "She was killed instantly, already dead, seemingly by fire-element Sword Qi, but we have no idea who attacked her, and the deputy leader who was monitoring didn’t see the assailant."

Erina frowned, "Didn’t see? Guy is at least a Tier Six Mage, how could he not notice? Was the attacker at Tier Seven?"

What’s going on? When I was at Tier Six, there were no Tier Sevens, but now, after advancing, they keep appearing?

Erina shook his head, "Dead is dead, it conveniently weakens the Tower of Descent’s power; her task was finished anyway, at least she died for a reason. No need to pursue that mage, lest we annoy them."

The subordinate nodded repeatedly, relieved.

At this moment, another subordinate rushed over.

"Lord Erina, the cause of the earthquake has been identified; it’s due to the Fire Spirit absorbing too much Molten Fire, causing a hollow in the Dragon Island’s underground Molten Fire."

"Hmm? A hollow?" Erina looked over sharply.

The subordinate appeared somewhat frantic, "Yes, a hollow. According to the Dragon Speaker’s investigation, the earthquake is because, as the hollow formed, Dragon Island is... sinking."

Erina’s expression changed.

He looked towards the volcano mouth, at the still-congealing crimson Fire Spirit.

"Something’s wrong. The Fire Spirit hasn’t reached its previous level of concentration, how could it deplete the Molten Fire? This never happened a hundred years ago."

"Because over the past century, you’ve overexploited the Volcanic Stone from Dragon Island Volcano, slowing down the formation of Molten Fire by at least half. Before the Molten Fire underground on Dragon Island fully recovered, you wanted to recreate the past scene."

An elder voice came forth, Erina looked up, "Pera?"

Pera leaned on her Magic Staff, nodding, "Lord Erina, I suggest you take immediate action to prevent Dragon Island’s collapse; apart from earthquakes, a tsunami will follow."

Erina’s gaze flickered, "No, it’s not the time yet; we can’t stop now. It’s not time."

"Without the blood of high-tier mages, it’s not easy to make the Fire Spirit reach its peak from a hundred years ago," Pera said calmly.

"There’s high-tier," Erina said in a serious tone.

He could see the mutilated corpse of Daisina, with the fleeing Magic Power and flesh moving towards the Fire Spirit.

Pera said, "I don’t advise you to do this."

"Why?"

"Daisina is a heretic, she carries contamination," Pera replied.

Erina pondered for a while, then shook his head, "A little contamination doesn’t make a difference. Back then, among those fighting me, two were heretics."

Pera sighed, shaking her head, "Since that’s the case, I have little to say. According to my agreement with the Blue Dragon Empire, I’ll help as much as I can, but the sinking of Dragon Island... I can’t prevent it; only you can."

Erina said indifferently, "Sinking is a minor issue, a tsunami is also a minor issue; birthing a new Tier Seven Mage is what’s most important."

"Guy has already gone over there, but his talent isn’t as strong as yours."

"He’s the most talented among Tier Six Mages of the Blue Dragon Empire; if he can’t succeed, then no one else has much chance."

"Are you betting with Dragon Island and the Blue Dragon Empire?"

"You’re overstating. With me here, the losses won’t be significant," Erina said confidently, as a Tier Seven Mage of a new era.

If not waiting for the Fire Spirit to mature, he could have resolved a mere earthquake long ago.

This is the confidence his Tier Seven strength brings.

Pera hesitated to speak but ultimately didn’t.

Tier Seven, it’s not so easy.

...

Rose strolled down the street, gradually nearing the Dragon Island Volcano area.

He could instantly arrive, but he didn’t; while walking, he sent out strands of mental threads to deflect objects falling from buildings, narrowly avoiding the panicked populace below.

Though Dragon Island had volcanoes and earthquakes, they had never experienced a high-intensity earthquake due to the array’s protection.

The earthquake’s intensity was still rising but almost reached its peak.

The final intensity was about 8.2 magnitude, far from 9, yet impacts were already apparent.

Offshore tsunamis were brewing, land isolated from Dragon Island was affected, massive landslides occurred.

Bridges connecting externally had all collapsed due to the strong quake.

The panicked commoners stumbled around without much sense of the situation, but Rose could already see that Dragon Island had sunk two meters, still continuing to sink.

Soon, the sea outside would rush into the city alongside the tsunami.

Rose wasn’t concerned about the tsunami; he could block it, but it might cause problems for Hilia.

"If I remember correctly, that Tier Seven Mage seems to be of the Ice Element. Blocking a tsunami for a Tier Seven Mage would be easier than for a Water Element one."

Rose shook his head without concern.

Casually saving those panicked people, Rose arrived at the city walls.

Dragon Island’s buildings were structurally strong; the quake hadn’t toppled most, thanks in part to the array.

Rose looked towards the volcano mouth.

"This level of Spiritual Object isn’t enough to resist ascension trials; to continue advancing, there are only two options: kill two more Tier Six Mages, or..."

Rose’s eyes flashed with a cold gleam, "Kill most of the mages and commoners in the city."

What would Erina choose?

Rose stood with hands behind his back, watching quietly.

...

Soon, a towering tsunami over a hundred meters high appeared outside Dragon Island, surging furiously towards it.

This news was quickly transmitted to Erina.

Erina looked at the still-unformed Fire Spirit as a thought emerged in his mind.

He clenched his fist and released it, repeating this three times.

He exhaled, swiftly shooting into the sky.

The signs of the tsunami had appeared; along with Dragon Island’s sinking, the streets were being hit by ocean waves.

In the air, Erina looked at the immense waves rushing from the direction of the Deep Sea, taking a deep breath.

The Magic Staff emanated a strong ice-blue glow.

When the wave rose high enough to be visible to the city’s residents, who watched in terror and despair, suddenly, the wave halted mid-air; in less than a second, from bottom to top, it quickly froze into a massive glacier.

The glacier seemed like a wall of reassurance, blocking the giant wave behind, stopping them all.

Additionally, ocean water from other directions froze, and Dragon Island’s sinking gradually halted.

If one gazed beyond the city walls, they would see Dragon Island submerged ten meters beneath the sea, surrounded by upright ice walls!
